Why Live On Bare When I’m An Heir ?

You Are Royalty and a Vessel Set Apart

God is teaching me how to walk in my identity as royalty. I have watched movies where someone lives poor, struggling, and with low self-esteem, only to discover they are actually an heir. Once they discover who they are, their mindset and actions change.

The same is true spiritually. When we receive Jesus Christ as Lord, we become part of God’s family. We were once slaves, but through Christ we have received the Spirit of adoption and can live surrendered to God. We are children of the King!

You Are an Heir!

Romans 8:15–17 (AMP) teaches us that we have not received a spirit of slavery that leads us back into fear. Instead, we have received the Spirit of adoption as God’s children, and by His Spirit we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Holy Spirit confirms that we are God’s children. And if we are His children, then we are also heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, sharing in His spiritual inheritance. We must also understand that if we suffer with Christ, we will also share in His glory.

Royalty does not mean we will never suffer. It means we know whose we are and who we are in Christ, even in the midst of suffering.

Galatians 3:28–29 teaches us that in Christ, our earthly distinctions do not determine our spiritual standing before God. Whether Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female, we are all one in Christ Jesus. And if we belong to Christ, then we are Abraham’s descendants and heirs according to God’s promise.

That’s another confirmation: We are heirs!

I Take Authority Because I Am an Heir—I Declare!

Jesus says in Luke 10:19–20 that He has given His followers authority over the power of the enemy. Yet He reminds us that our greatest reason to rejoice is that our names are written in heaven.

Job 22:28 (NKJV):
“You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.”

Therefore, I declare God’s Word over my life and circumstances. I submit myself to God, resist the devil, and stand on what God has spoken.

I am a child of God.
I am an heir.
I am an heir according to God’s promise.
I have authority through Christ.
I am one with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
I will endure suffering with Christ and share in His glory.
I am royalty because I belong to the King of kings!

Why Live on Bare When I’m an Heir?!

If you have not received Jesus Christ as Lord, you can do so today:

“Lord, I confess that I am a sinner and repent of my sins. I believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as my Lord and Savior. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord. Thank You for saving me and making me part of Your family. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Begin studying God’s Word and allow Him to lead you to a community of godly believers where you can grow in Christ.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for adopting me into Your family. I am no longer a slave to fear; I am Your child and an heir through Jesus Christ. Thank You that because I belong to Christ, I am an heir according to Your promise.

Forgive me for living with a slave mentality instead of walking in the identity and authority You have given me. Help me submit to You, declare Your Word over my circumstances, endure suffering with Christ, and look forward to sharing in His glory and inheritance.

Above all, I rejoice because my name is written in heaven!

I am a child of the King. I am an heir. I am royalty because I belong to the King of kings!
