Praise Brings Heaven to Earth
The phrase “Praise Brings Heaven to Earth” came to me as God has been teaching me to trust in His finished work. It’s easy to focus on our problems, complain, or become discouraged when life seems overwhelming. But God’s Word reminds us that He is always faithful to His promises.
Heaven is filled with endless praise. The angels and all of creation continually worship the Lord with joy. As believers, we are called to reflect heaven on earth by cultivating a lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving.
Revelation 5:11-13 (NLT)
“Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne… They sang in a mighty chorus, ‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered—to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.’… Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth… singing, ‘Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.'”
Psalm 34:1 (KJV)
“I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
When you are facing a battle, send praise in first. Before presenting your requests to God, begin by praising Him for who He is and for what He has already done. Instead of complaining or giving in to fear, choose thanksgiving.
Abraham, the father of all who believe, did not focus on what he saw. He trusted God’s promise.
Romans 4:20-21 (NKJV)
“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
We were created to praise and worship God. Praise shifts our focus from our circumstances to God’s faithfulness. As we magnify Him, our faith grows, fear loses its grip, and we begin to experience the atmosphere of heaven here on earth.
Prayer
Father, I praise You for Your faithfulness, Your goodness, and Your unfailing love. I choose to make praise and thanksgiving a lifestyle. Let heaven be reflected through my life as I worship You. Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered. Thank You that through Christ You always cause me to triumph. I will bless You at all times, and Your praise shall continually be in my mouth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
