God gave me a phrase as I was walking dealing with faith. As believers there are things that can block us from receiving.
Repent of sin and live free from condemnation.
Psalm 32:5: NIV: Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Deal with your thoughts with the help of God.
2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Philippians 4:8 NKJV: 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Proverbs 23:7 KJV: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.
Continue in the word and hold on to what God says.
John 8:31-32 NLT: Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Prayer: God I thank you for your faithfulness. I confess my sins before you and live free of guilt and condemnation. I cast down every thought, ideas, and imaginations that goes against you God and bring them under the truth of your word. Whatever is good, of virtue, praise, and of good report, I think on those things. I run the race looking unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of my faith. Thanks be to God who always causes me to triumph through Him.
