The Yoke Is Broke!

As I was on the prayer line, God gave me the phrase, “The Yoke Is Broke!” I immediately began rejoicing.

A yoke can represent something placed upon a person that causes them to carry a heavy load. But whatever yoke you are carrying, take it to Jesus.

Give the Yoke to Jesus

Matthew 11:28–30 (NLT) reminds us that Jesus calls those who are weary and burdened to come to Him. His yoke is easy, His burden is light, and He gives rest for our souls.

You were never meant to carry every burden alone.

The Anointing Breaks the Yoke

Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV) says the burden will be removed from your shoulder and the yoke from your neck, and “the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.”

Stay in God’s presence and His Word. What has held you captive does not have to remain.

Don’t Go Back Into Bondage

Galatians 5:1 tells us that Christ has set us free, so we must stand firm and refuse to become entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

God can deliver us, but we must choose to walk in the freedom He gives us.

My Testimony: I Refuse to Camp There

I was talking with my Aunt Mary about how much I miss my mom and dad. She reminded me that after Moses died, Joshua grieved, but he did not stop moving forward. He did not pitch a tent by the campfire rehearsing his pain. Joshua continued in what Moses had taught him and went on to conquer new territory and win many battles.

Later, while reading about David and Goliath, God led me to look up the word camp. To camp means to pitch a tent and stay in a place for a time. The Philistines set up camp and Goliath was tortmenting the Israelites.

That spoke directly to me: How long will we allow pain, circumstances, or the enemy to set up camp in our lives?

David didn’t allow Goliath to keep tormenting Israel. He boldly declared what God would do and confronted his giant.

God also used Isaiah 52 to teach me how to walk out of grief and into freedom. The passing of my mom and dad has been painful, and I still depend on God daily. I am grateful for His Word and for the family and friends He has placed in my life.

But I have made a decision:

I will not camp in grief.
I will not live in bondage.
I will not pick the yoke back up.

With God’s help, I choose joy. I choose freedom. I choose to keep moving forward.

Prayer

Father, thank You for setting me free. I bring every burden and yoke to You because Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light. I abide in Your Word and trust Your anointing to destroy every yoke of bondage.

I refuse to become entangled again in bondage to sin, grief, fear, or anything else Christ has delivered me from. Thank You for always causing me to triumph through Jesus Christ.

The yoke is broke, and I choose to walk in freedom!

In Jesus’ name, Amen
