The phrase came to me as I was making my homemade smoothie. I immediately began rejoicing. At first, I did not write the phrase down, so I asked God to bring everything back to my remembrance. Later, while talking to my sister, God brought the phrase back to me, and I quickly wrote it down.
John 10:10 (Amplified Version) says:
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”
The enemy wants to take what Jesus already died for and finished on the cross. But Jesus came so we could live a life of abundance and overflow.
1 Timothy 6:12 (Amplified Version) says:
“Fight the good fight of the faith [in the conflict with evil]; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and for which you made the good confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.”
Renew Your Mind With the Word of God
1 Corinthians 2:16 says:
“For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].”
Isaiah 55:8–9 (NLT) says:
“‘My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,’ says the Lord. ‘And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.’”
Romans 12:2 (NLT) says:
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Be Motivated by Faith, Not Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) says:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
1 John 4:18 (Amplified Version) says:
“There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves the expectation of divine punishment, so the one who is afraid has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love.”
Fear is not from God. God has given us power, love, and a sound mind. When we trust in His love and promises, fear loses its hold on us. We must choose daily to walk by faith and not by fear.
Give to others. What you Put out is what you receive back.
Luike 6: 38 Amplified Version: 38 Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 NLT Version:6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
Give Everything Over to God
Psalm 34:10 (NLT) says:
“Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.”
Matthew 14:15–21 (NLT) says:
“That evening the disciples came to Him and said, ‘This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away so they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.’
But Jesus said, ‘That isn’t necessary—you feed them.’
‘But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!’ they answered.
‘Bring them here,’ He said. Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children!
Reflection
God is teaching me not to focus on the need, but to focus on what the Word of God says and what He specifically tells me to do. This week, God told me, “Take care of what needs to be done, and I will take care of the rest.”
He is teaching me not to see myself running out, but to see myself running over. God told me there is no more shortage, but more than enough to bless others. I receive His Word and ask Him to help me daily to walk in faith, obedience, and overflow.
Prayer
Thank You, God, for giving me a life of abundance. You told me not to worry about what I will eat, drink, or wear because You already know what I need before I even ask. Your Word says that if I seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, everything I need will be added unto me.
I thank You that as I give, it is given back to me—good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. I renew my mind daily with Your Word to uproot every shortage mentality.
I choose to operate through faith and not fear because You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Thank You for giving me the mind of Christ.
I thank You in advance for the victory, provision, overflow, and abundance in every area of my life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
