Webster’s meaning :Love:unselfish loyal and benevolent (kind) concern for the good of another: such as: the concern of God for humankind
It is okay to feel excited about something. However, we have to evaulate what love really is and see if we are operating out of love, or lust, Lust is temporary. Love continues when it is the God kind of love.
Our own desires if it is not in line with God can lead us into sin or bad decisions.
James 1:15 Easy Read Version : 14 You are tempted by the evil things you want. Your own desire leads you away and traps you. 15 Your desire grows inside you until it results in sin. Then the sin grows bigger and bigger and finally ends in (spiritual and physical) death.
Spend time with God in His word and your heart will align with His heart. Trust God with any decision in your love interest and every aspect of your life. Wait on God because love is patient.

Ask God to examine your heart and discern others hearts through the Holy Spirit to make right decisions.

There have been times when I have done things out of emotions without thinking it through and I paid for it dearly. I am still growing and learning that everything God has for me through faith and patience I will receive in due time. Love is patient , not impulse, and anxious. We do not have to fear on missing out because God wants the best for us His way and His time. Everything is beautiful in God’s timing.
Prayer: God thank you for wanting what is best for me. I repent for being impatient, anxious, and allowing my emotions take over causing me to make bad decisions. I use discernment, wait on you, and align my heart with God and you will give me my hearts desire.
