The phrase came to me one morning as I was working. A lot of people look to be served, but don’t think about serving people from a loving and spirit led heart. Even with business, people look to get money/profit, but not thinking about how can I offer a service that will help customer’s needs. We come to God for what we want and not just to spend time with Him and wonder why we are not growing spiritually or not able to overcome challenges in our lives. Once we focus on serving others and God with a good heart and are led by God to do it, everything else such as financial, healing, great relationships, and spiritual growth producing fruit will take place.
Fellowship with God and Put Him First And God Will Take Care of What You Need
Matthew 6::31-33 NLT: 31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
Serve and Give With A Sincere Heart
Colossians 3:22-25 Amplified: 22 Servants, in everything obey those who are your masters on earth, not only with external service, as those who merely please people, but with sincerity of heart because of your fear of the Lord. 23 Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve. 25 For he who does wrong will be punished for his wrongdoing, and [with God] there is no partiality [no special treatment based on a person’s position in life].
2 Corinthians 9:6-10 NLT: 6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say,“They share freely and give generously to the poor.Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” 10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
Stay in Love Because God Is Love
Romans 13:8-10 NLT: 8 Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. 9 For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These—and other such commandments—are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
Testimony: Recently I have had other family members to pass. I know the feeling because both of my parents passed within 9 months from each other. God has been keeping me and the love of other people. Now, I am able to help others who are going through pain. God blessed me with a financial seed 3 times more than what I gave.God has also provided for me through the snowstorm financially, with lights, food to eat, & family . I feel so much joy serving other people and not thinking about myself all the time. It is the greatest reward. I am seeing the word of God manifest in my life.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for your love, grace, and new mercies every morning. I repent for being selfish only thinking of myself and giving with the wrong motive. God, I seek you first and your way of doing things and everything else is added to me. I give gladly with love not to be seen. I am your servant God and I allow you to flow through me so others can see you. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
