The phrase for the blog was inspired by my dad as we were having a conversation about walking in faith. God spoke to me saying “the race is not given to the swift or to the strong, it is those that endure until the end.” My blog from a few years ago is “Endure Is The Cure; please refresh yourself and read when you get a chance.
Patience during challenging times keeps us from folding under pressure. Surround yourselves by Godly and victorious people.
Hebrews 6:12 Amplified Version: 12 so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.
Praise God and lean on His strength.
Romans 4:19-21 Amplified Version:19 Without becoming weak in faith he considered his own body, now as good as dead [for producing children] since he was about a hundred years old, and [he considered] the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, 21 being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.
Proverbs 24:10 New King James Version:10 If you faint in the day of adversity,
Your strength is small.
Pray continuously. In Luke 18 Jesus spoke a parable (a story) to teach that we should always pray and not give up. He gave the example of the woman who demanded justice and kept going until she got justice from an unjust judge. Jesus said those who cry out to God day and night He will deliver them speedily. Read Luke 18 in it’s entirety.
Remain in joy looking to God.
Nehemiah 8:10: The joy of the Lord is your strength.
Hebrews 12:1-2 Easy Read Version: We have all these great people around us as examples. Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit. We should remove from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall. 2 We must never stop looking to Jesus. He is the leader of our faith, and he is the one who makes our faith complete. He suffered death on a cross. But he accepted the shame of the cross as if it were nothing because of the joy he could see waiting for him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne.
Testimony: In the department I am in, there are a lot of new challenges. There were times I wanted to quit. However, because I did not quit, I have learned more, got a raise, and more equipped for the new challenges ahead. God has me planted where He wants me until the appointed time for me to go to my next assignment.
Prayer: God thank you for giving us an example Jesus who did not quit on us, or we would be doomed. I repent for letting the pressures of life get to me and running away from you than running to you. You are the only help I know. When the pain is intense I call out the name Jesus, every demon trembles, and you will come to my rescue. I follow those that through faith and patience inherit the promise like the people in the bible and people today. I have the victory. In Jesus name! Amen.
