Situations Can Come To Throw Us Off Balance, But With God We Are Up For The Challenge!

Jesus said in this world we will have trouble, but we can be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33). As believers, we do not sorrow as the world does because we have accepted Jesus as the shepherd of our lives to lead and guide us through every obstacle.

Praise and rejoice for your victory in the battle. Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20 sent praise in before going into battle. It confused the enemy and they were fighting amongst themselves and were destroyed.

Go to God immediately with your situation. David was a man after God’s own heart because he would quickly run to God when he had a challenging issue. In 1 Samuel 30, David came home to his country burned down, the women/ daughters were taken including his wife as slaves, possessions were taken, and the people blamed him. The people wept along with David until they were weak. They wanted to stone David to death. David encouraged himself in the Lord and went to God with his situation. God told David to pursue and you will recover all. David won the battle and everything was restored.

Speak the word of God over your situation. The Shunamite woman in 2 Kings 4 son died after God blessed her with a child. Each time someone would ask her how she was doing she kept saying “All is well.” All was well after she went to prophet Elisha. Elisha prayed to God and the boy came back to life.

Face your giant head on in the strength and power of God. David in 1 Samuel 17 did not run from the giant Goliath. He ran to Goliath with full confidence and trust in God and defeated the giant with a rock in a sling shot and cut Goliath’s head off.

Fast to prepare for the test. In Matthew 4:2 Jesus prepared for His test when he was led by the spirit of God to go to the wilderness through fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. Jesus was able to resist the devil’s temptation because he was full of the word of God after fasting.

Praise, seeking God about your situation, speaking the word of God over your situation, facing your situation head on in the confidence of God, and fasting, you will be up for any challenge that comes your way.

Personal testimony: I went through a challenge buying my first home. Time lapsed and I had to move out of my apartment and had to move in with my Aunt Mary. More time passed and my aunt asked the realtor that I was dealing with why it was taking so long on the house. The realtor informed my aunt that I got approved for more than what I was suppose to and the loan officer was fired. I had to start back over with another loan officer. My aunt could tell my spirit was heavy and I cried. She told me when going into battle send praise in first. An anointed preacher confirmed what she told me. We began praising God and started fasting. It was like I was in the garden of Eden spending time with God. I got the home for less than the price and the 8,000 dollar tax credit.

Situations come to throw us off balance, but with God we are up for the challenge!

Prayer: Thank you God for being my defense, shield, and my hiding place. I can run to you in every situation and magnify your name. In you God I have the victory to face every challenge. I can face my challenges head on with the Lord on my side and fight the good fight of faith. I endure to the end and I am saved. I wake up the lion in me and take what is rightfully mines. In Jesus name! Amen.

Refuel and Find The Jewel

Like a car, our spirit can get low on fuel. A car will shut off when it has ran out of gas. We can shut down when our spirit has ran out of gas. We as believers can spend time in the word of God, pray, worship, and praise God to refuel.

Read the word of God.

Proverbs 4:20-22: 20 My son, give attention to my words;Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;Keep them in the midst of your heart;22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

Psalm 19:7:The law of the LORD is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul; The statutes of the LORD are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Pray about your situation.

In Daniel 6, Daniel prayed three times a day to receive supernatural strength and power from God during the kings unjust laws. God kept him while he was in the lion’s den. God sent angels who came and shut the loin’s mouths.

Praise and worship uplifts our spirit.

Psalm 16:11: You will show me the path of life;In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore
.

Personal testimony: I enjoy encouraging and uplifting people. However, I became spiritually low from pouring into others, working, and everyday life. As I was sitting at work, I decided to take off a day, and the day turned into a week. I filled up on the word of God by reading and listening to anointed people. I went back to work refreshed.

Jesus often got away to refuel. We should follow His example. Life can burn us out with work, family issues, and every day responsibilities, including unexpected obstacles. Spending time with God in worship/praise, in the word and prayer, refuels your spirit .

Refuel and find the jewel.

Prayer: God, in your presence is fullness of joy. I maintain my joy through praise, worship and reading your word. Your word is a precious jewel. Your word is spirit and brings life to my spirit. Your word is a firm foundation for me when the challenges of life surrounds me. Your word surrounds me and I will not sink. In Jesus name! Amen!

God Uses Each of Us As A Vessel, Avoid Putting People Up On A Pedestal!

We all have been guilty of putting people and things up higher than God. God created us and gave us gifts. Every good and perfect gift comes from above. It is God in us. He does the work. The sooner we realize this, when people fall, we would pray for them and correct them in love as the Holy Spirit leads us. As long as we yield to the spirit, God flows through us for His glory. God will not share His glory with anyone. We have seen with celebrities, people, and leaders (whether in church or business), that as long as they are doing great, we praise them. However, when they fall off track, we talk about them and join in with the gossip. We as believers can’t have blessing and cursing coming out the same mouth. We are not perfect ourselves, and neither am I. The phrases that come to me for the blog are from God. I am glad to be used by God and ask Him to help me in areas where I fall short. We should not lift ourselves up either; God can quickly humble us. It is okay to get inspired and motivated by people. We can thank God for the people He uses for His glory and will on earth.

Jesus set a great example of giving God the glory. John 14: 10-11 Amplified Version:  10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not say on My own initiative or authority, but the Father, abiding continually in Me, does His works [His attesting miracles and acts of power]. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe [Me] because of the [very] works themselves [which you have witnessed].

Do not look to the outside. Look to the inside to judge a situation or person through the eyes of God. In 1 Samuel 8, Samuel’s sons were wicked and the people asked for another king. However, Samuel was anointed by God. God sees the whole picture; we only see the outside. God told Samuel they have not rejected you, they have rejected me. God told Samuel to give them what they asked for. Saul was anointed for a time, but he disobeyed God. Saul looked the part on the outside, but God knew Saul would disobey Him. As people of God, we need to acknowledge God in all our ways and He will direct us. Ask God to open our spiritual eyes so we can see the whole picture.

Lift up God not yourself. In Daniel 4, Nebuchadnezzar started lifting himself up and did not give God the glory. He kept using the word “I”, which means he got off into pride. We have all been guilty of pride in some kind of form. But, God has a way of humbling us when we get too puffed up with pride. Nebuchadnezzar grew hair and crawled on the ground like a beast eating grass. Nebuchadnezzar had to be humbled to give God the glory. Read blog Your Kingdom Will Crumble, If You Don’t Stay Humble

Personal testimony: I was going to the prom in high school. My dad taught me the word of God and it was embedded in me. However, I really was not saved until I was 18. My dad gave me the free reign to make my own decisions including the dress I wore to the prom. Surprisingly, my dad told me I could stay out at the prom until 1:00 a.m. Before I left to go to the prom my dad said something that stuck with me that made me make the right decision. He said “I don’t trust you, I trust the God in you that you will do the right thing.” I came home earlier than expected. I enjoyed myself without getting drunk. We should trust people over to God. We can’t make anyone do anything. The only thing we can do is pray for people, lead by example, and be led by God when correcting people. We are the biggest bible anyone would read. The world is going to to do what the world does. We do what the kingdom does no matter what the world is doing. Our lifestyle and the manifested glory of God will have them asking, “What must I do to be saved?”

God uses each of us as a vessel. Avoid putting people up on a pedestal!

Prayer: God, thank you for the people you use as a vessel for your will on the earth. I repent for making them an idol and putting them above you. God even at my best state, I am altogether nothing without you. God help me to see things through your eyes and not the natural eyes. God, you see the whole picture. I pray for the people in the kingdom of God, I correct them in love as you lead me. I encourage people into good works, and I am the example. I pray for those who are lost that you send laborers in the vineyard to bring them into the kingdom of God. God, make us as believers fishers of lost souls. Lead us how to draw them in and when we should share Jesus with people. I thank you God that people are drawn to the light of God in me and I will say like Jesus “It is the Father in me, He does the work.” God you resist the proud, but give grace to the humble. In Jesus name! Amen.

Let The Devil Know: Let My People Go!

A lot of us as believers are going through great battles. The good news is Jesus already won the battle for us on the cross when he said “It is finished!” We are not like the majority of people; as believers we take what is rightfully ours. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10) everything that God has provided through His Son, Jesus’ blood. Murders, violence, theft, and destroying homes/family is not from God. We see it every day in our cities, homes, and churches. Enough is enough! It is time to let God’s kingdom come; His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. It is time for the manifested glory of God that draws people to the kingdom of God.

Surrender to God and His word for the devil to let us go. James 4:7: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Stand firm on the word of God no matter what attacks the devil throws at you. The devil kept coming at Jesus in Matthew 4. However, Jesus kept saying, it is written. Hebrews 4:12: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The devil made his final attempt on Jesus. Matthew 4:9-11: And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”10 Then Jesus said to him, [b]“Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Praise frees us from the devil’s hold on us. Psalm 68:1:  Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

Believers, submit to God and resist the devil. Speak the word consistently when the pressure comes , and praise God through it all. The devil will then flee in every area that we are attacked in or struggle with.

Personal testimony: I had something swell up on my gums that hurt and I didn’t want to touch it. I begin speaking the word of God consistently. As I begin to praise God, my gums went back to normal like it never happened. Any problem you have, God can free you from the devil’s hold in any area of our lives. He is a deliverer!

Let the devil know, let my people go!

Prayer: God, thank you for being my deliverer. I repent for not surrendering every area of my life over to you. The devil does not have a grip on me any longer. I submit to you God. I resist the devil, and he flees from my life. I stand firm on your word, not wavering. I do not allow the circumstance to make me bow. I bow before The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I praise you through my pain, problems, and chaotic situations and the enemy flees. Thanks be to God who always causes me to triumph through Him. In Jesus name! Amen!

The Pain Grew To Birth Out Something New!

Our painful situations that we are going through can make it difficult for some of us to see the bright side. Even if it is something that we brought on ourselves, when we repent, God can restore us better than before. A baby’s irritated gums is a sign new teeth are coming in. The pain of a woman giving birth is a new child coming into the world. God can carry us through the painful situations for his glory. It can be shameful, hurtful, humiliating, and dark, but God can carry us through as believers when we trust and give it over to him.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a prime example of dealing with a painful situation while trusting in God in Matthew 1. Mary was carrying a child that would be the Savior of the world. It had to be a challenge for people to think she was carrying a child out of wedlock when it was supernaturally done by God. Joseph, who was promised to marry Mary, wanted to put her away quietly because of her carrying a child, when he was not intimate with her. An angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream to let him know that Mary’s pregnancy was from God. Mary had to deal with a lot of pain up until the time she gave birth. However, she gave birth to Jesus, the Savior of the world. The pain was necessary for the glory of God and the salvation which is available to all who believe.

David went through pain after he took someone’s wife, got her pregnant, and had her husband killed. Prophet Nathan in 2 Samuel 12 exposed David through a story. David repented and said he has sinned against God. Even though he repented and fasted, the child he had with Bathsheba died within seven days. David got up, cleaned himself up, and worshipped God. He conceived another child with Bathsheba and they named him Solomon meaning “The Lord loved him.” Solomon was the richest and wisest king to rule.

Personal testimony: When I was on a work assignment, I prayed to God for a way of escape. However, it was not what I had imagined. I was asked to reapply for my position, which I was comfortable with, because I did not like being on the phone. I didn’t want to be in that position either with the changes that were going on. I reapplied for the position and interviewed, but I did not get the position. I had to go back to where I started, taking calls. It was humbling, painful, and I cried. I was angry, but like David I got up. I started doing my work unto the Lord. A supervisor approached me and asked me did I want to be on a specialty team. I knew that was my way of escape. I accepted the position and after a year or two, I got a huge raise. The pain that I went through birthed out the blog in 2018. People that read my blog stated I should get merchandise with the phrases from the blog. The online store was birthed out. God is taking me from faith to faith glory to glory.

Jesus went through the ultimate pain and humiliation. He bore all of our pain and sin for no fault of his own. Because of his suffering, we now are redeemed from sin and have eternal life when we believe on Him. We can sin and reap the consequences of our sin. But, when we repent God can turn our mistakes into miracles and a testimony of His goodness.

Prayer: God, thank you for your new mercies every morning. Situations in my life seems to be getting worse. God, I ask you to help me trust and hold onto you to get me to the other side. I repent for things I have done and I am reaping the consequences of it. I thank you for restoration and making all things new in my life for your glory. In Jesus name, Amen!

Everything Good Will Unfold, When We Seek God’s Wisdom Over Silver and Gold!

The phrase came to me meditating on the word of God and listening to an anointed pastor. Money is great to help others, help spread God’s gospel all over the world, and to take care of our needs with enough left over to enjoy life. Ecclesiastes 10:19 says, money answers all things. We need money to operate in the natural. However, when the money is low, God’s wisdom helps you to be fruitful and multiply. Money is not evil in itself. it is the love of money that is the root of why people do evil and compromise their faith in Jesus. We do not want to make money be the reason why we do things. Our main focus as believers is sharing the good news of Jesus, discovering our purpose, glorifying God, and operating in our gifts for the glory of God.

When we take care of God’s kingdom, everything else comes along with it. Matthew 6:33:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

The richest man, King Solomon, in the bible asked for wisdom. 1 Kings 3:7-13 Easy Read Version: And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in. And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”10 It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this. 11 And God said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right, 12 behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you. 13 I give you also what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that no other king shall compare with you, all your days. 14 And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

Solomon at the time was humble and had a pure heart. God rewarded him with not only wisdom but riches. However, to whom much is given much is required. Solomon started off good but ended up turning his heart from God. We can quickly forget God after he blesses us with wisdom and our possessions increase.

Deuteronomy 8:11-19:11 “Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by failing to keep His commandments and His judgments (precepts) and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12 otherwise, when you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses and lived in them13 and when your herds and flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have increases, 14 then your heart will become lifted up [by self-conceit and arrogance] and you will forget the Lord your God who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. 15 He led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; it was He who brought water for you out of the flinty rock. 16 He fed you manna in the wilderness, [a substance] which your fathers did not know, so that He might humble you [by dependence on Him] and that He might test you, to do good [things] for you at the end. 17 Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.19 And it shall come about if you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you will most certainly perish. 20 Like the nations which the Lord causes to perish before you, so shall you perish; because you would not listen to and obey the voice of the Lord your God.

Solomon, after doing everything his heart desired with the wealth, wisdom, fame, and women, forgot God. He realized it was all useless without God. Ecclesiastes 2:24-26: 24 There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and assure himself that there is good in his labor. Even this, I have seen, is from the hand of God. 25 For who can eat and who can have enjoyment without Him? 26 For to the person who pleases Him God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who pleases God. This too is vanity and chasing after the wind.

Everything good will unfold, when you seek God’s wisdom over silver and gold.

Prayer: Glory to the only wise God my Savior who created the earth with wisdom. I repent for seeking after money rather than what you have me here for on earth. I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else will be added. God, help me not to forget you when possessions increase and wisdom increase becoming proud. God, without you I can’t do nothing. Every good thing comes from you. God, give me wisdom to operate in the gift and purpose you have for me. In Jesus name! Amen!

Do You Want Your Release? Do Not Let Prayer Cease!

The phrase for the blog was inspired by my dad while listening to an anointed pastor on prayer. The time is now to receive your release. However, in order for us to receive our release we must pray consistently in order to receive our release.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV: 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

James 5:17-18 NIV: 17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

Luke 18:1-8 NIV: Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Acts 12:5: So Peter was kept in jail, but the church was constantly praying to God for him.

The church in Acts 12 prayed until an angel led Peter out of prison. Peter came back and the people were amazed. God rewards diligence. Giving up, unconfessed sin, unbelief, wrong motives, unforgiveness, and not praying according to the will of God can hinder our prayers . James 4;7 NIV: When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. Enter into God’s presence with praise and thanksgiving. God speaks through worship and praise. Get quiet after praise and worship. It leads to God leading you to the word. The word of God leads to prayer. Ask God what he wants to get over to you and then make your requests known to God. Matthew 6:33 NIV:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Read Mathew 6: 9-15, the Lord’s prayer; it is an outline of how to pray.

Read blog Stay Wit It Til You Git It. Do not be weary in well doing, because in due season you will reap if you do not faint. (Galatians 6:9)

Do you want your release? Do not let prayer cease!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for always being a very present help. I repent for not being consistent in praying. I rejoice always no matter what I go through. I pray without ceasing; in every situation, I give thanks to God for seeing me through everysituation. I stay with it until I am free. I thank you Jesus for being The Great Shepherd; all that I need. I thank you for my release. In Jesus name! Amen!

Looking For The Next Thrill, But Only God Can Fill!

Everything God made is good. God wants us to enjoy life, people and things. However, people, and things can not fill the void. People can leave, pass on, and betray you. Things can wear out and fail on you. However, God is eternal and he can satisfy you when people and things run out. God will never fail you. Traveling, going to concerts, shopping, drugs, drinking, and sex can only give you a temporary high. Some even have bad side effects. However, when you spend time in the word of God and in worship/praise, it gives you a high that will satisfy you forever. God changes you for better.

1 Timothy 6:17 CSB Version: 17 Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.

I was empty as a child up until I was 19. I had information about Jesus and performed church duties, but I was miserable. I didn’t know who I was and lived in the shadow of other people. I was depressed, miserable, and judgemental. No matter how much I traveled on road trips with my family, entertainment, or clothes my parents ordered for me to wear to church, I was still miserable. I even had thoughts of suicide. I believe it was my parents and church prayers that stopped me from self destructing. I got a wake up call from my brother about my attitude . I cried out to God for help and my journey began. I have joy because I know who I am in Jesus. No matter if I am dressed up or dressed down, I am wonderfully and fearfully made. I discovered assurance of my salvation and do not need things or people to fill the void. God’s word, praise/worship, and prayer gives me satisfaction. It is more than just words off a page in the bible. I experienced the bible I am reading. The journey has some speed bumps but the reward is greater, It is an exciting journey when we have Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us into all truth.

The Woman At The Well

Jesus came to a well of a Samaritan woman and offered her living water so she won’t thirst again.

John 4:15-27 Amplified Version15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not get thirsty nor [have to continually] come all the way here to draw.” 16 At this, Jesus said, “Go, call your husband and come back.” 17 The woman answered, “I do not have a husband.” Jesus said to her, “You have correctly said, ‘I do not have a husband’; 18 for you have had five husbands, and the man you are now living with is not your husband. You have said this truthfully.” 19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I see that You are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews say that the place where one ought to worship is in Jerusalem [at the temple].” 21 Jesus replied, “Woman, believe Me, a time is coming [when God’s kingdom comes] when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You [Samaritans] do not know what you worship; we [Jews] do know what we worship, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers. 24 God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ—the Anointed); when that One comes, He will tell us everything [we need to know].” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you, am He (the Messiah).”27 Just then His disciples came, and they were surprised to find Him talking with a woman. However, no one said, “What are You asking about?” or, “Why are You talking to her?” 28 Then the woman left her water jar, and went into the city and began telling the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done! Can this be the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed)?” 30 So the people left the city and were coming to Him.

Some of us are like the woman at the well even though we are saved. We jump from relationship to another relationship. We use drinking to get a buzz, sex, traveling, concerts, people(friends/family) business, achievements, money and things to fill the void in our lives. When you are by yourself are you miserable, lonely, hurt, have low self esteem, and depressed. We should draw from God’s power and learn our identity through his word. Praise and worship in spirit and truth of God gives you joy in the full capacity. We were created to worship Him.

If you are not saved, admit you are a sinner, ask God to forgive you of your sin, confess Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that Jesus was raised from the dead and then you are saved. Begin reading your bible and ask God to lead you to anointed leader who can guide you in your walk with God and mentor you. God wants us to enjoy life because He gives us things to enjoy. However when you have a relationship with God you can be at the lowest and darkest point in your life and still be satisfied because you know God is with you. Philippians 4:11 easy read Version: 11 I am telling you this, but not because I need something. I have learned to be satisfied with what I have and with whatever happens.

Looking for the next thrill but only God can fill!

Prayer: Lord thank you for your spirit living on the inside of me, I repent for allowing people and things to fill my life leaving me empty. I draw from the well through praise/worship in spirit and truth. I draw from the living water through being still and knowing that you are God. I spend time listening, meditating and reading your word because it is spirit and life.Thank you for giving me all things to richly enjoy. The Suffering Won’t Be Long, As You Sing Your Victory Song !

We know as believers in this world we are going to have pain and suffering. Jesus told his disciples to be of good cheer for I have overcome the world. God gave me what to say when I was encouraging someone through their trial. I immediately was encouraged by encouraging someone else. Each time I go through a challenging situation, God puts a song in my heart to get me through. Slaves used songs as a code for their escape. David played his harp to soothe King Saul who was tormented by evil spirits. We use soft music to soothe babies when they have a challenging time sleeping. God does the same for us. Music is very powerful.

Psalm 32:7 Amplified Version: You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble;
You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah.

Psalm 68:6: God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

2 Chronicles 20:21-23: 21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his[c] holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying:“Give thanks to the Lord,
for his love endures forever.”22 As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 23 The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

Tonex’s song “Syng” lyrics stood out to me:

Life can be a struggle everyday
But you gotta sing sorrow away
Everything you touch is just a song
Sing it loud all day and all night long

After fall and winter then come spring
Flowers bloom and birds begin to sing
Sing and watch your problems fade away
Remember trouble don’t last always

David was a man after God’s own heart. He was not perfect and some situations he faced were because of bad decisions he made and sin. However, David was a worshiper and sang to God. He ran quickly to God when he was in trouble. He also repented when he was confronted with sin. God provides a way of escape through songs he puts in our hearts for our deliverance.

The suffering won’t be long, as you sing your victory song!

Prayer: Thank you God for your brand new mercies. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers us out of them all. God, thank for surrounding me with songs of deliverance. I am singing my way to victory. Thank you for a way of escape for me. I receive my victory now! In Jesus name!
