If You Think, You Sink!

The phrase was given to me by my Aunt Mary as we were sharing about the goodness of God! The word of God is truth about every situation we face. A lot of us allow the voices in our heads to keep us from living a victorious life. The battlefield is in the mind and the devil plants thoughts in our heads to make us doubt what God said.

Do not let thoughts the devil planted in your head keep you from trusting and obeying what God said. It began in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 2 when the devil planted thoughts in Eve’s head and she went to Adam, who knew the truth, to make Him doubt what God said. The end result was them being kicked out of the Garden of Eden because they disobeyed what God had told them. God told them they could eat of any tree except the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Even though they did not die right away, they died spiritually and eventually died naturally. The devil convinced them they would be wise and become like God. The devil told them a truth, but not the whole truth, which was deception. The devil is the father of lies. Read Genesis 2:3-24

Do not let fear and the situation around you cause you to sink. If you feel yourself sinking, cry out to God for help. Matthew 14:30-33: Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Do not allow the wait to cause you to forget what God told you. It is easy to get anxious when you do not see the results immediately. All of God’s promises are yes and amen to the glory of the father, and his word will not return void. God told Abraham who was Abram at the time in Genesis 15 that he will have a son of his own as an heir. Abraham believed God. However, Sarah who was Sarai at the time in Genesis 16 became impatient and talked Abram into sleeping with the maid servant Hagar. Hagar birthed a son name Ishmael for Abram. Hagar having a son caused tension with Sarai because Hagar became proud. In Genesis 21, God gave her what He had promised. She bore a son name Isaac.

Personal Testimony: God spoke to me and told me when promotion comes step into it. A supervisor came to me and told me he want me to start on the Specialty Team. I hesitated for a day. People kept telling me the position will be difficult. However, I chose the voice of God and took the position. There were challenges in my position but I kept going. The company merged with another company which meant pay increase. I was pushed up a pay grade, which was several dollars more than what I was making because of the department I was in. God was faithful to me. God gave me the grace to face every challenge and a pay increase because I held onto what God told me and didn’t allow the challenges or people to talk me out of what God told me.

If you think, You Sink!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for making me in your image and likeness. I repent for forgetting who I am in Christ and allowing the devil, people, and the situation to talk me out of what you have already died to provide. I cast down every thought and take it captive when it is not in line with the word of God and what God told me. Whatever is pure, virtuous, lovely, good and of praise, I think on those things. I take no thought what I will eat or drink, or wear because my Heavenly Father knows I have need of them. I seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything is added to me. God I cry out to you for help when I feel myself sinking. Thank you for the victory in Jesus name! Amen!

Burdens Will Lift ,When You Flip The Script!

Webster’s meaning of burden: 1. something that is carried. : Load 2. something oppressive or worrisome. 3. the bearing of a load.

Webster’s meaning of lift: 1. the amount that may be lifted at one time : Load. 2 assistance, help 3. an elevating influence. 4. An elevating experience; an elevation of the spirit.

God sent His Son Jesus to carry the load so that we don’t have to worry or bear the load ourselves. We give it over to God and he will carry everything at once. God can assist/help us. God can take us higher than our situation, and elevate our spirits.

We flip the script by giving our situation to God.

Isaiah 55:1-3 Amplified Version: Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy grain and eat.Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost [simply accept it as a gift from God].“Why do you spend money for that which is not bread,And your earnings for what does not satisfy?Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,And let your soul delight in [a]abundance.“Incline your ear [to listen] and come to Me;Hear, so that your soul may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you,According to the faithful mercies [promised and] shown to David.

We flip script by thinking like God.

Isaiah 55:8-9:“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.

1 Corinthians 2;16: 16 For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].

Philippians 4:8 King James: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

We flip the script through speaking God’s word.

Isaiah 55:11-13 Living Translation: 11 so also is my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it. 12 You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills, the trees of the field—all the world around you—will rejoice. 13 Where once were thorns, fir trees will grow; where briars grew, the myrtle trees will sprout up. This miracle will make the Lord’s name very great and be an everlasting sign of God’s power and love.

Personal testimony: I had a situation years ago at work where my co-worker lied on me to the leaders. I was upset and confided in my dad. My dad told me that the word of God says to pray for your enemies, bless those that curse you, and do good to those that despitefully use you and say all manner of evil about you. I went into prayer for the co-worker. The co-worker approached me, confessed, and apologized to me. Flipping the script by handling the situation according to the word of God, lifted my burden and the co-worker received salvation. She attended church with her husband where I attended church. God handled the situation for me & another soul was received into the kingdom of God.

Prayer: God, thank you for flipping the script and loving us enough to send your Son Jesus to die for us, even when we don’t deserve it, to save us from eternal damnation. I repent for focusing on the problem . I give my situation to you, speak your word, and think like you God. I receive what you have already done in Jesus name! Amen!

Think About The Souls, Not The Clothes

During the holiday season, it is easy to think about things: activities, travel, gifts, what we will wear, and the list goes on. However, the most important priority is the spirit and soul of people. People need salvation through accepting Jesus Christ in their hearts, comfort, love, strength, joy and prayer during this season. The outer things don’t last, but the spirit and soul are eternal. God trusted me with the blog to encourage people in their relationship with Jesus and bringing souls into the kingdom of God. In this season, let us focus more on the soul of a person, not what is on the outside.

Isaiah 61:1-3 Living Translation: The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted, to announce liberty to captives, and to open the eyes of the blind. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of God’s favor to them has come, and the day of his wrath to their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel he will give: beauty for ashes; joy instead of mourning; praise instead of heaviness. For God has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for his own glory.

The parable of the good samaritan Luke 10 :30-37:30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

Our life does not consist of the abundance of things we possess (Luke 12:15). We came here with nothing and we can’t take anything with us. But we can make a difference through loving people, giving to those who are in need, testifying about the goodness of God in our lives, and using our gifts for the glory of God to manifest heaven on earth. The only thing we can take with us are souls into the kingdom of God. People do not remember how much you have, but how you treated them. The most important thing we should be known for is love.

Think about the souls, not the clothes!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving me a purpose for your kingdom. God, I repent for getting so caught up in things in my own life that I pass others by who really are in need. God you have anointed me to encourage others and help those who are in need. Help me to love like you love and share Jesus which is the greatest gift that I can give anyone. Thank you for loving me even when I do not deserve it. In Jesus name! Amen.

Do Not Look At How It Is Appearing. Faith Comes By Hearing

The natural realm it can be dark, humiliating, disappointing, devastating, and depressing. It can look like the dark cycle will never end. However, looking at the situation according to what the word of God says (which is the way, the truth, the light) can manifest heaven on earth when chaos is all around us. Faith comes by hearing which means it’s not a one time thing. What are we as believers listening to? If we want our faith to increase, then hearing the word of God must increase for our faith to grow up like a tree.

Romans 10:14-17 New King James: 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:“How beautiful are the feet of those who [b]preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Mark 4:24 Holman Translation: 23 If anyone has ears to hear, he should listen!” 24 Then He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear. By the measure you use,  it will be measured and added to you. 25 For to the one who has, it will be given, and from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.”

Proverbs 4:20-27 Message Translation: 20-22 Dear friend, listen well to my words;
tune your ears to my voice. Keep my message in plain view at all times.
Concentrate! Learn it by heart! Those who discover these words live, really live;
 body and soul, they’re bursting with health.23-27 Keep vigilant watch over your heart;
  that’s where life starts.

Matthew 13:23 Amplified: 23 And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands and grasps it; he indeed bears fruit and yields, some a hundred times [as much as was sown], some sixty [times as much], and some thirty.

Personal testimony: Last year I was feeling symptoms almost similar to Covid. I was meditating and listening to teaching on healing even while I was sleeping. I begin to praise God like Psalm 103 and remembering the benefits Jesus took on the cross for my healing. The song came to me “Come on in the room.” I was singing that song and praising God. The next day the majority of the symptoms were gone. By the third day I was back to normal.

Do not look at how it is appearing. Faith comes by hearing!

Prayer: Thank you God for giving us everything pertaining to life and godliness. I increase my faith by listening to the word daily for my faith to grow. I hold on to the word to receive my breakthrough. In Jesus’s name Amen!

Most People Will Be Receptive to Hear It, If You Don’t Kill Their Spirit!

The phrase came to me as my sister and I were talking on how to deal with people. Solomon asked God to give him an understanding heart on how to lead the people as king. Everyone should be praying this (especially us as believers), so that God will give us an understanding heart of how to deal with people.

Extend the same mercy that you want someone to give you. We have to be patient with each other. God had to be patient with us when we were in sin. Just because we received Jesus in our hearts doesn’t mean we will magically change. It takes time to uproot some old habits even as a believer in Jesus. I am constantly changing as I continue to read God’s word daily. Some bad habits take time to uproot.

Matthew 5:7 Easy Read: Great blessings belong to those who show mercy to others. Mercy will be given to them.

Be led by the spirit of God when correcting someone. If the person rejects after God speaks to you to correct them, step back like Jesus, keep moving, and pray for them.

Galatians 6:1-2 Easy Read: Brothers and sisters, someone in your group might do something wrong. You who are following the Spirit should go to the one who is sinning. Help make that person right again, and do it in a gentle way. But be careful, because you might be tempted to sin too. Help each other with your troubles. When you do this, you are obeying the law of Christ.

Matthew 10: 14 Easy Read Version : 14 And if the people in a home or a town refuse to welcome you or listen to you, then leave that place and shake the dust off your feet.

Agree to disagree. We are not going to agree on everything even as believers. However, we should not let it divide us. The world is watching us as believers. We should be at peace with all people as much as possible. (Romans 12:18). Believers can unite on core beliefs on salvation, Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, that we are saved by grace not by works, and the trinity of God. Any secondary beliefs that we do not agree on, we can still love each other and agree to disagree. Each person should be persuaded in their on hearts by the Holy Spirit of how to live a life for Jesus. Read Romans 14. It talks about people judging and arguing as believers on what they ate. It is not what is on the outside that will defile us, but it is what is on the inside. Because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

Be the light and lead by example. We lead by love because faith works by love. People draw to the glory of God in our lives as believers when they can see miracles, signs, and wonders. People drew to Jesus because of it. Our testimony on how God saved us and how God is working in our lives has more impact than what we could ever say.

More people will be receptive to hear it, if you don’t kill their spirit!

Prayer: Thank you God for not giving up on me. Give me an understanding heart of how to deal with people and draw people closer to you. I repent for being impatient with people and not walking in love. Lord let your manifested glory flow in my life so people can see your good works and glorify you. In Jesus name! Amen.

The True Terror Is Burning In Flames Forever!

God is not willing that any should perish, but that all of us would come to repentance. Hell was designed for the devil and his demons, not us. I used to watch scary movies for the thrill and screaming . I remember watching Freddy Krueger, who killed people in their dreams. One night I had a dream and the character in the movie was in my dream. I thought I was going to die in my dream. That dream was scary, but imagine burning forever with the devil, demons and fallen angels tormenting you. That is terrifying. Some may not believe in hell. I wouldn’t gamble with my eternity on it. A lot of us use the saying “I am living my truth,” but if it is not the truth of God’s word; it is a lie. The word of God tells us what to do so we can spend eternity with him. We choose eternity in hell by our actions and lifestyle. Just like Lucifer/ the devil did when he was in heaven (Read Revelation 12 and Revelation 20). He was beautiful, very gifted and musical. However, he wanted to be God. God had to let him go even though he loved him. It is just like a parent of a rebellious child. A loving parent would let them go to learn their lesson and to keep peace in the home. Lucifer self destructed and took other angels with him.

The first thing is accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior in order to enter into the kingdom of God.

Romans 10:9-10 NIV:If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

A lifestyle that will keep you from spending eternity with God:

1) No Morals: Revelation 21:8 New King James Version:But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

2) The Guilty and Unforgiving: Matthew 5:22 Amplified Version: 22 But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice against him shall be guilty before the court; and whoever speaks [contemptuously and insultingly] to his brother, Raca (You empty-headed idiot)!’ shall be guilty before the supreme court (Sanhedrin); and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fiery hell.

3) The Hypocrites: Matthew 7:21-23 Amplified Version: 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore, by their fruit you will recognize them [as false prophets]. 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’

4) The Unprepared :Matthew 26 Jesus gives a parable/story of a wedding invitation and one the guests was not prepared. Matthew 22:11-1411 “But when the king came in to see the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed [appropriately] in wedding clothes, 12 and he said, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wearing the wedding clothes [that were provided for you]?’ And the man was speechless and without excuse. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; in that place there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger].’ 14 For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.”

Holding on to sin: Matthew 5:29 is a metaphor. It basically says you have to cut off anything that causes you to sin: people or things. Holding on to sin and not repenting for it can send you to hell. Matthew 5:29-30 NIV:29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

We have to be clothed in the righteousness of God in order to enter into heaven. All of our righteousness is like filthy rags. It is through faith in Jesus we are made righteous.

How hell is described:

Matthew 8:11-12: Amplified: 11 I say to you that many [Gentiles] will come from east and west, and will sit down [to feast at the table, and enjoy God’s promises] with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven [because they accepted Me as Savior], 12 while the sons and heirs of the kingdom [the descendants of Abraham who will not recognize Me as Messiah] will be thrown out into the outer darkness; in that place [which is farthest removed from the kingdom] there will be weeping [in sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [in distress and anger].”

Matthew 25:30 Amplified: 30 And throw out the worthless servant into the outer darkness; in that place [of grief and torment] there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger]..

The description of how he devil looks:

Revelation 12L9-7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Personal testimony: I was on my way to hell. I was the one who was a hypocrite saying one thing but doing something else. I made the confession of salvation at 6 and got baptized. However, the church was not in me. I served in the choir and was an usher. I did the outer works but not the inner work. After my brother called me out on it, I did like David and repented to God and asked him to help me. I have so much joy that I didn’t have before. It was not fun serving God because I was sitting under teaching at home and church, but I was doing my own thing. God is still transforming me.

Most people think that you are restricted when you are living a life for God. It is the opposite. God wants us to enjoy life, but he gives us choices. He also lets us know the consequences of making a choice that leads to death. God does not want us to self destruct like Lucifer did. We can’t be afraid as believers to tell the truth of God’s word.

Matthew 10:28 Easy Read 28 “Don’t be afraid of people. They can kill the body, but they cannot kill the soul. The only one you should fear (to reverence and respect) is God, the one who can send the body and the soul to be destroyed in hell.

Mark 8:36: 36 “And how does a man benefit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul in the process?

Those who know the truth and are in rebellion, repent and God will restore you. Those that are lost and don’t know God, give your life to Jesus now because tomorrow is not promised. All we have is today. Believers who have a relationship with God, continue to let your light shine. Share Jesus with as many people as you can through your testimony, and finish strong. The only thing God wants is our heart, not a perfect person. David was not perfect but he repented after the prophet called him out on adultery and murder. David praised and worshipped God with his whole heart no matter what he was going through. He ran to God with his situation and communicated to God like we do a friend. We should do the same. Matthew 26: 41: Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

The true terror is burning in flames forever!

Prayer : Lord, thank you for your grace and mercy. You are prolonging your time because you want people to repent so they can spend eternity with you. Lord, I repent of my sin and admit I am a sinner in need of a savior. I believe Jesus died, rose from the dead, and is coming back again. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that you live today. I receive you into my heart. I am saved and in the kingdom of God. In Jesus name! Amen!

Prayer of Reconciliation: God, I repent for straying away from your word, living in rebellion, and doing what I want to do. I repent of my sins. I ask you to forgive me. Thank you God for restoring my soul and everything in my life. In Jesus name! Amen!

Fix It At The Core, With The Mouth It is The Door.

Do you want great doors to open for you? It starts with your mouth. God spoke the earth into existence with His words. Words are not just words, it is spirit and life. If you want your life to steer in the right direction, ask God to put a check in your spirit when you speak something that is not in line with the word of God. Even when you are joking you have to be careful. We can’t laugh at everything because it is manifesting things good or bad.

Psalm 141:3 NIV: Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.

Proverbs 18:21 Easy Read Version: 21 The tongue can speak words that bring life or death. Those who love to talk must be ready to accept what it brings.

Job 6:24 Easy Read Version: 24 “So now, teach me, and I will be quiet. Show me what I have done wrong.

Psalm 19:14 King James Version:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

James 3:3-5: Now if we put bits into the horses’ mouths to make them obey us, we guide their whole body as well. And look at the ships. Even though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines. In the same sense, the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things.

Followers of Jesus Christ should guard their hearts and ask God to examine our hearts daily because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak (Matthew 12:34) What we hear, watch, listen to is like meditation, and it will come out of our mouth. Guard your eyes, ears, and mouth. Ask God to help us in areas we are weak in. We can’t afford to look, hear, and speak things that will make our situation worse when we want something different. Proverbs 4:23 New Living Translation: Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Personal Testimony: Each time I get up in the morning it is like a ton of bricks are on me and I don’t want to get up. I began to say “this is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it.” When I speak that every morning, my feelings start to change and I am ready to take on the challenges of the day. My dad used to do this with us every day when I was little going to school. He would turn on the lights early in the morning and say “this is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it! Those words gave me life and the strength to make it through the day.

Fix it at the core, with the mouth it is the door!

Prayer: Lord thank you for speaking the world into existence and breathing life into me. I repent of not guarding my heart and saying things that I don’t want in my life. God set a guard over my mouth and keep the door of my lips. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight Lord my strength and redeemer. I use my mouth which is the door for great things in my life to turn my situation around. I claim it done in Jesus name! Amen!

Put Your Trust In The Power of God’s Name! You Won’t Be Put To Shame!

A lot of us put our trust in a chair to hold us. We put our trust in people to be there for us, love, care, and help out when we need them. We trust in an airplane to take us to and from a destination without crashing. We trust in the news. it is easy to trust in something or someone we can see and especially with a proven track record. However, things can wear out, and people can fail you because they are imperfect, Everything that is good and perfect comes from God. God works through people and things to bless His people. David was a man after God’s own heart because He trusted God in the midst of every situation, he repented, and he worshipped God in spite of his failures and imperfections.

Psalm 20:7 NIV:Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Romans 11:33-36 Amplified Version: 33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and decisions and how unfathomable and untraceable are His ways! 34 For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been His counselor? 35 Or who has first given to Him that it would be paid back to him? 36 For from Him [all things originate] and through Him [all things live and exist] and to Him are all things [directed]. To Him be glory and honor forever! Amen.

Jeremiah 17:5;7: New Living Translation: This is what the Lord says:“Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength.“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

Psalm 1:3 Amplified: Indeed, none of those who [expectantly] wait for You will be ashamed; Those who turn away from what is right and deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed (humiliated, embarrassed).

Personal Testimony: The second source of income from my sister in the home was gone. We just closed on the home and my sister job closed down. God gave me the scripture Isaiah 43 that He was with me through the fire and He is doing a new thing. The scripture gave me a calm when God spoke to me doing my quiet time. I held onto the word . I continued to tithe and give an offering to my church. My dad and mom came by my house one day and said God put on his heart to buy groceries for me. I broke down and cried because we had nothing to eat in the cabinets. God was working through my parents to supply our needs. My brothers gave us money without us asking for it. God was working through them. I was totally dependant on God.Shun wrote down what type of employment she wanted and did an online business while waiting on a door to open. God answered her prayers and gave her exactly what she believed God for: employment near home, and great pay. The mortgage company was gracious to us. God was with us through the fire, He stayed true to His word. All I had to do was trust Him.

Put your trust in God’s name! You won’t be put to shame!

Prayer: God thank you for being my Shepherd I have everything I need. I repent of trusting in people and things more than I do your word to guide me through every aspect of life. God it is to you, from you, and through you I am able to obtain any good thing in life. I am thankful for the people you have in my life, but it is you working through them. I am grateful for the things I have that you used people to create them. I give you my trust no matter how dark it gets. Some trust in chariots or people, but I trust in Jesus. Thank you God for the victory! In Jesus name! Amen!

Victory Is Near, When You Maintain Your Cheer!

The devil comes to steal, kill, destroy, accuse us, and lie to us. Jesus said in John 16:33 that in this world we will have trouble and then it says, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world. I read that scripture many times and after listening to an anointed speaker on being joyful, I discovered the remedy to handling trouble in life is to maintain our joy. We can lose heart and be discouraged during the battle when everything is caving in on us. It can be a challenge being joyful through a painful situation. However, as believers, we walk by faith and not by sight. The word of God has keys to maintaining our joy.

Spending time with God in worship/praise and in the word helps maintain your joy.

Psalm 16:11: You will show me the path of life;In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 19:8: The precepts of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Laughter helps maintains your joy and it is healing. Find something to laugh about. Proverbs 17:22: A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Keep your focus on God and His word helps maintain our joy.

Hebrews 11:2-3 Living Translation: Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterwards; and now he sits in the place of honor by the throne of God.If you want to keep from becoming fainthearted and weary, think about his patience as sinful men did such terrible things to him. After all, you have never yet struggled against sin and temptation until you sweat great drops of blood.

Isaiah 64:4 Amplified Version: For from days of old no one has heard, nor has ear perceived,
Nor has the eye [a]seen a God besides You,Who works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him.

Personal Testimony: A situation concerning identity theft happened with my finances. My mortgage was due and I didn’t know how I was going to pay it. I was changing the channels on tv and Joel Osteen caught my attention when he said “What was stolen from you, God is going to give it back to you seven times.” I received the word and knew that God was speaking to me. I had a feeling of nervousness and fear, but I kept speaking the word of God: “My God supplies all of my needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus.” I kept saying that scripture over and over. Negative thoughts started coming through my mind. I clenched my teeth together and spoke in boldness “My God supplies all of my needs.” All I had was the word of God. God didn’t give me any other instructions. I called the mortgage company on the day it was due and told them I was unable to pay the mortgage due to identity theft. The agent on the phone said “I see your mortgage is paid up for two months.” I had my oldest brother visiting me and my sister. He saw me running around the house rejoicing. Me and my sister were studying on the law of confession. My sister and I spoke to our mailbox. My sister said it will be a check in the mail for us. She opened the mailbox and a check for close to six hundred dollars was in the mail on an old bank account I closed out. Me and my sister desired to fly out of town and that was the rest of the money we needed to travel. God gave me what I needed and what I desired, He was faithful to His word. He did exceedingly, abundantly, above all I could ask or think. By simply holding on to God’s word, meditating God’s word, and speaking it brought the manifestation with my oldest brother witnessing it. I also got the money that was stolen from me!

Victory is near, when you maintain your cheer!

Prayer: God, thank you for what you have done on the cross by sending your son Jesus to save me. Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him. You left Jesus as an example to follow in His footsteps. I choose to stand on the firm foundation of your word God. No matter how the rain comes and the winds blowing, I will not sink because my faith and trust is in you God as my anchor. I maintain my joy in your presence and have a joyful heart no matter what situation I am in. I fix my gaze on Jesus who is the author and finisher of my faith. You told me in your word, God, that in this life I will have trouble, but you gave me the remedy to be of good cheer . I can rejoice in Jesus because he overcame so can I. In Jesus name! Amen!
