Your Gratitude Determines Your Altitude

Gratitude: The state of thankfulness. Conscious of the benefit received.

Altitude: position at a height; a high level (as of quality or feeling)

God waking us up is another day to live out God’s purpose for us. Let us know the benefits of a new day, live with a purpose, and soar high like an eagle in life’s journey.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV: 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Romans 5:2-5 Amplified Version: 2 Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly, safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power]. 3 And not only this but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that difficulty (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; 4 and perseverance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation]. 5 Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

I just watched a movie, which is a Christmas classic, “It’s A Wonderful Life.” George Bailey carried on his father’s business dealing with money/bank. He sacrificed going to college and traveling the world to help the people in his town. He had the heart to help people; however, he was $8,000 in debt from the business and wanted to end his life. People were praying for George Bailey. He cried out for help from God. Finally, an angel Clarence came to help him. George said he wished he was never born. The angel, Clarence. showed George what his life would be like if he were not born. George realized he had a wonderful life. In the end, the town came together to pay off his debt.

We will have trials in our lives that can cause us to be ungrateful. We will stay in the same state as the Israelites with Moses in the book of Numbers because they were disobedient and complained. They remained in that state for 40 years. Be like Job, give glory to God, pray for others who are going through, and say, “Though He slay me yet will I trust Him.” Our breakthrough is around the corner when we are at the end of our rope, just like George Bailey was in the movie. Begin to give God thanks for where you are and thank Him for what you are believing Him for. Click the link from the earlier blog: Enjoy Where You Are, And You Will Go Far.

Refuse To Be At Ease, Until You Receive Your Release

God can give us one victory, a Rhema word, or one moment of success that can cause us to be comfortable. So do not stop until you receive all that God has for you.

Isaiah 62:1 New Living Translation: Because I love Zion, I will not keep still. Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn and her salvation blazes like a burning torch.

John 8:31-32 King James Version: 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Joshua just won the battle of Jericho in Joshua 6. In Joshua 7, he was defeated because he thought they could take on AI after spying out the land. He sent only three thousand men. AI chased the Israelites from the city gates, and their hearts melted like water. Joshua tore his clothes and inquired of God. God told Joshua there was sin in the camp. Joshua did not go to God first before going into battle. Joshua discovered it was Achan in his own camp who stole silver and other goods and hid it.

We have a lot of things God wants us to take possession of. Stay alert, and be instant in and out of season. Most importantly, acknowledge God in all your ways. He will direct you to where to go.

Refuse to be at ease until you receive your release!

Prayer: Thank Lord for your promises; they are yes and amen. God, I acknowledge you in all my ways, and you direct my path. I stay sober and vigilant because the devil is like a roaring lion seeking to devour me. I stay instant in season and out of season. I receive all that you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Whatever You Are Going Through, The Word Is Near You!

Circumstances can come unexpectedly, and some are more painful than others. The challenges can leave anyone feeling hopeless. Yet, God left His Word for us to get us through life’s journey.

John 1:1 Amplified Version: At the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), the Word was with God, and the Word was Himself. 2 He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. 3 All things were made and came into existence through Him, and without Him, not even one thing was made that has come into being. 4 In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. 14:  And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception).

Romans 10:6-8: At the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 2 He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God. 3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him, not even one thing was made that has come into being. 4 In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men.

The Word is near you concerning sickness and disease Isaiah 53:5 with the stripes of Jesus; we are healed. The Word is near you concerning emotional hurt and grief. Isaiah 53:4 Jesus took our griefs and carried our sorrows, meaning we don’t have to bear it. We can give it over to Jesus. The Word is near you concerning wisdom James 1:5. Any person lacks wisdom; let that person ask God. The Word is near you concerning sadness. Isaiah 61:3 put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. The Word is near you concerning provision Philippians 4:19 God supplies all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. The Word is near you concerning fear 2 Timothy 1:7 God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Everything we go through is in the Word of God. Read the Word of God, hear it, speak it, and it will manifest. Those that hold on to the Word of God will see the results. Death and life are in the power of our tongue.Jesus told satan it is written each time he came after him. Christ is in us, the hope of glory.

Whatever you are going through, the Word is near you!

Prayer: Thank you, God, for you are the living Word. Thank you for giving me your Word and the Holy Spirit living inside me to lead guide, and help me during this life journey. When I feel hopeless, I hold on to the Word of God and never let it go. Thank you, God for always being there for me. I lean on your strength, faithfulness, and power to pull me through. In Jesus’ name! Amen!

You Can Look The Part, But God Looks On The Heart

We all have been deceived by someone who looked the part on the outside but was something different on the inside. The advertisements deceive us when something looks one way and turns out to be different. We have also been deceived by thinking that we are one way when the reality is different. Ask God daily to search your heart to keep you from being deceived. Ask God to open your spiritual eyes and ears so you can see yourself, people, and things through the eyes of God.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 NiV: 9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? 10 “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

Psalm 139:23-24: 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

I Corinthians 11:28;31-32: Let a man examine himself. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Just like we go to the doctor for a physical checkup, we need to go to God and do an internal checkup on our hearts. Most of us heard the saying, “God knows my heart”, which is evil and deceitful. So meditate on the word daily for correction so we won’t be deceived.

Psalm 119:11 NIV: 11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

Matthew 5:8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Reading the word of God daily is like taking a spiritual bath. If there is any sin in your life, repent so you can hear from God and see clearly.

In 1 Samuel 8, the people wanted a different King from Samuel even though God chose Samuel, because they viewed things from the outside rather than consulting God. Samuel’s sons were taking bribes, dishonest gains, and perverted justice. The elders of Israel said to Samuel: “You are getting old, and your sons do not walk in your ways; we want another king.” Samuel inquired of God, and God told him to give them what they asked for. God told Samuel they had not rejected you; they have rejected me. Saul, on the outside, was handsome, tall, and strong, so the people chose Saul. Later, Saul disobeyed God when he was told to eliminate a group of wicked people. Saul saved the king and got the best of the goods. Saul offered sacrifices unto God. Samuel told Saul in 1 Samuel 15 that obedience is better than sacrifice and that disobedience to God is as the sin of witchcraft (both are going against God). God rejected Saul. God told Samuel not to mourn for Saul, to go and anoint another king. God led Samuel to Jesse’s house, where he had elder sons and a young son named David. The elder brothers looked the part of being a king, but God did not choose any of Jesse’s elder sons. Read the book of 1 Samuel; a lot of life lessons can be learned from this book.

1 Samuel 16:7 Amplified Version: But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Saul looked the part, but God rejected him because of his disobedience and what was in his heart. God took his presence away from Saul. Saul treasured the goods rather than treasuring being obedient to God. Matthew 6:21 says, Where your treasure is, your heart will also be. Luke 16:11:12 -13 Amplified Version: 10 “He who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and he who is dishonest in a very little thing is also dishonest in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of earthly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? 12 And if you have not been faithful in the use of that [earthly wealth] which belongs to another [whether God or man, and of which you are a trustee], who will give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon [that is, your earthly possessions or anything else you trust in and rely on instead of God].” God couldn’t trust Saul with the kingdom because his heart was caught up in material things.

David had a pure heart and walked upright. David was spared from Saul’s evil plot to kill him. David had favor with Michal, his wife, and Saul’s son Jonathan. David spared Saul’s life twice when he had the chance to retaliate and kill Saul. David respected Saul’s authority because he was king. God chose David because he had a pure heart and wanted to please God.

Acknowledge God in all your ways. Obey God. Ask God to help you in areas that are challenging. Learn from Saul; don’t half do what God tells you because it is disobedience. Instead, be willing and obedient and experience the fullness of God’s blessings. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else will be added to you (Matthew 6:33)

You may look the part, but God looks on the heart.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your faithfulness. I repent for not acknowledging you in making decisions and being disobedient. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Help me to see things through the eyes of you, God. I am willing and obedient and eat the good of the land. I judge and examine myself daily so I won’t be judged. I clean my heart daily through the word of God so I can see clearly in the spirit realm. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

The Destination of Your Eternity, Do You Know Where? Not Knowing Can Be A Scare!

The phrase came to me from a movie my aunt sent me, titled “The Last Appeal.” The prisoners were on death row. It made me think about what happens when we leave this earth. If you died tonight, would heaven be your home? Some people don’t believe in hell and believe it is a scare tactic. Why would a loving God send anyone to hell? Hell was made for the devil and his demons, not us. God gives us a choice, either life or death, blessing or cursing.

Deuteronomy 30:19 CSB Version: I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live,

2 Peter 3:9 New Living Translation: 9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent.

John 3:16-21 Message Version: 16-18 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because that person failed to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.19-21 “This is the crisis we’re in: God-light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they were not interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God-light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.”

Someone asked me how a loving God can let us go to hell. It made me think. God gave me the answer. I heard a subtle voice say, “I am the Prince of Peace,” To keep the peace, I had to let Lucifer go even though I loved Lucifer. He self-destructed on his own because He wanted to be God. He rebelled and took some other angels with him. God was the one who created Lucifer. We self-destruct on our own. God doesn’t send us to hell. We do it to ourselves when we reject Jesus/God, The Heavenly Father.

I was baptized at six and grew up in the church. However, I was unsure about my salvation. I was doing religious acts, but I was empty and under condemnation. I was not pleasant to get along with because I was judgmental and self-righteous, because I was under condemnation myself. I cried out to God at 18 and told God I did not want to live this way anymore. Finally, I got assurance of my salvation and started to fellowship with God on a day-to-day basis. God transformed me gradually as I allowed the word to correct and guide me. I am free. Once you are in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1). If you mess up, repent and ask God to help you! Continue to say, “I die daily to my old nature.” A righteous man falls seven times and gets back up (Proverbs 24:16).

If you have accepted Jesus and have lost your way in sin, repent and return to God. God will restore you and wipe your slate clean. Mark 8:36 Amplified Version: For what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world [with all its pleasures], and forfeit his soul? Solomon gained wisdom, wealth, and women; He allowed women to turn his heart away from God and serve other gods. At the end of his life, he said it was useless. Solomon realized that enjoying the fruits of labor, enjoying family, and, most important, that we can’t do it without God.

The destination of your eternity, do you know where? Not knowing can be a scare!

Prayer Lord, I confess I am a sinner; I repent of my sins. I receive you into my heart. I believe Jesus died, was buried, rose, and lived. Thank you, Jesus; I am in a new family! I am a new person. I die daily to my old nature by renewing my mind to the word of God! Now I have eternal life with Jesus. In Jesus’ name! Amen.

You Want Things In Your Life To Stop Being Bad? Start Getting Glad!

The phrase came to me as I listened to an anointed speaker dealing with “how to harvest.” Many of us as believers heard the scripture: “they that sow in tears reap in joy.” (Psalm 126:5). The blog last Sunday, I mentioned if we wait for the conditions to be correct, we will never sow (Ecclesiastes 11:4-5). God revealed to me sowing in tears means when things are chaotic, painful, and hopeless, that is the time to use our faith. We use our faith when we praise God when we usually would feel sad or depressed. We use our faith by encouraging others when we are discouraged. We give to others with financial issues as the Lord leads us where to give when we are in need. The manifestation then comes because we sowed in tears. We can not reap if we are sad; we reap in joy. Trusting God, doing what we know to do in the natural, praying, praising God, and being obedient to His word/being led by God brings joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:1) God brought to my mind people in the bible who sowed in tears and reaped in joy.

Abraham, our spiritual Father, did not grow weak in faith but gave glory to God and reaped in joy a son name Isaac. Read Romans 4, Genesis 18 on their journey, and Genesis 21 when the promised child manifested.

Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Acts 16 when they rebuked an evil spirit in a fortune teller. They were angry because they made money from the woman’s fortune-telling and they were thrown in prison. Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God while being beaten in chains. They praised God, the chains broke, the prison doors opened, and people were saved.

In 1 Samuel 1, Hannah was miserable because she wanted to have children. She was so sad she didn’t eat. She prayed and cried. Her husband Elkanah said, “Oh, Hannah, why are you crying? Why aren’t you eating? And why are you so upset? Am I not of more worth to you than ten sons?” When Hannah got a word from the prophet Eli, she held onto it, was glad, she worshiped and conceived with her husband.

In the book of Job, God blessed Job with wealth, a beautiful family, and a hedge of protection around him because Job served God. Job health went, his children died, and his wealth was gone. His friends came to be with him while he was going through and were quiet at first. However, after a few days, they told Job his sin was the reason why he was going through. Job trusted God and said, “though He slay me, yet will I trust Him! Job prayed for his friends and got his deliverance. God restored double to him.

Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before Him Hebrews 12 2-3). Jesus focused on the end result; that is how He was able to go to the cross. He sowed in tears and reaped in joy. Now many are saved, forgiven, healed, and set free.

You want things in your life to stop being bad? Start getting glad!

Prayer: Thank God for sacrificing your Son Jesus so we can live a better life and eternity with God. During challenging and painful times, I will look to the hills for my help because my help comes from the Lord. I sow praise when my heart is heavy. I sow love when evil is done to me. I am not overcome by evil; I overcome evil with good and reap in joy. I repent for allowing situations to get me depressed and losing hope. Thanks be to God, who always causes me to triumph through Him. In Jesus’ name! Amen.

Awake From Your Sleep. It Is Time To Reap!

God led me to my past blog about the harvest while worshipping Him . Read No Time For Rest, Before The Harvest. I was led to listen to an anointed pastor on the series of harvesting. It is more than just sowing seeds and making confessions. We have to gather the harvest by doing what the word of God says and following the leading of the Holy Spirit by being obedient.

Proverbs 10:5: 5 He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

Hebrews 11:6: But without faith, it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Proverbs 8:17: I love them that love me, and those that seek me early shall find me.

When we wake up early in the morning, it is a great time to seek God. Everything is quiet, with no distractions, and God speaks. Find time in the morning to get instructions from God. Do what you know to do in the natural until you get instructions from God on what to do next.

As believers, the ground must be good to receive the harvest, just like farming. If the soil is not suitable, you will not receive the harvest.

Matthew 13:18 New Living Translation:18 “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: 19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. 20 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 21 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. 22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. 23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

I choose the good ground. Meditate, hear the word of God, and speak it until it becomes rooted in you so you can produce a harvest. Be like our spiritual Father Abraham; He did not grow weak in faith, but he gave glory to God. Abraham was fully persuaded God would do what He promised. Read Romans Chapter 4. Whatever crop you want to see results, whether money, relationships, business, or health, get the seed of the word of God. Do what it says to receive the harvest.

As believers, having good ground concerning our finances starts with tithing. Does it seem you can’t get ahead concerning money, and it looks like money leaves time you get it? There is an open door for the devourer (the devil) to come eat it up. God blessed me because I consistently tithe. Even when I had a small income, God took care of my needs. To receive the overflow, give beyond the tithes as God leads you. I experienced the overflow when I am obedient. There were times when I was disobedient and suffered. Even when the conditions seem like you can’t give, give anyway, if you wait for the situation to be proper, things will come up and stop you from harvesting. You have to start somewhere.

Ecclesiastes 11: 4-5: 4 But there are some things that you cannot be sure of. You must take a chance. If you wait for perfect weather, you will never plant your seeds. If you are afraid that every cloud will bring rain, you will never harvest your crops.5 You don’t know where the wind blows. And you don’t know how a baby grows in its mother’s womb. In the same way, you don’t know what God will do—and he makes everything happen.

Malachi 3:8-12 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.

Give with the right heart. In Genesis 4, God did not accept Cain’s offering but accepted Abel’s. Abel gave with the right spirit and motive. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says: So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. If your heart is not correct, it is best to keep it because it will not work. Ask God to help you. He deals with everyone according to their faith. 23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First, go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. Faith works by love; if you have unforgiveness or offenses, it will not work.

Are you diligent or procrastinating in the areas where you are not receiving the harvest? You reap what you sow; are you planting what you want? Each seed produces after its kind. Are you walking in love? Ask God to show you areas that need improvement to see the harvest.

Awake from your sleep. It is time to reap!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for doing above and beyond what I can think. You are the God of multiplication. I repent of procrastinating and being lazy concerning the word of God. God, search my heart and see if there is anything wicked in me. Lead me to the way of everlasting so I can receive my harvest. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Live Free and Be Glad. Get Rid of the Weights And Drags

The phrase came to me from a teaching of Joel Osteen I listened to a while back. God brought it back to my remembrance.

Weight Something heavy. A load. Burden, pressure.

Drag: Burden. Pull.

What is in your life that are weights and drags? It could be people that we are allowing to pull us down. It could be our behavior that is a weight/drag. The environment that we are in can weigh us down. We can live free. We do not have to be bound.

Hebrews 12:1-2 New Living Translation: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

My weight was fear due to a bad experience after getting my wisdom tooth pulled. I stopped going to the dentist. My aunt told me early on that I needed to go to the dentist when she saw a shift in my teeth. I was so crippled with fear until I became comfortable in that state. I was like the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5. I made excuses and stayed in that state. I made a decision not to live in fear. Jesus asked the man at Bethesda pool do you want to be healed? The man at the pool made excuses that someone else had gone before him when he tried to get into the pool. Jesus told the man to rise, take up your bed, and walk. In John 5:9, New King James: The man was immediately made well, took up his bed and walked. Please read my previous blog, The Fool At The Pool. I went back to the dentist and got x-rays of my teeth. God led me every step of the way when I got up. He made the provision for me to get surgery. Fear cost me dearly because I did not listen to wisdom. Thank God for His grace and mercy.

We all can identify with the man at the pool. We have been dealing with specific areas in our lives for years: those are weights/drags. Do you want your deliverance in your finances, relationships, health, dreams, and behavior? We have to stop making excuses, get up and do what the word of God says. Ask God for help and wisdom on how to do it. God left us the word of God and His Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. If we slip up, repent, ask God for help and start to go back at it again. A righteous man falls seven times but gets back up (Proverbs 24:16).

Those who have not received Jesus in your life, are you making excuses why you have not received your salvation? It could be excuses like “What if heaven or hell is not real?” “I will come to God when I am ready, or have it all together.” “What if I miss out on having fun?” “I got hurt in the church, and they are hypocrites.” We have to answer to God for our own life. We do not want to gamble with our eternity. My childhood pastor would ask, “If you died tonight, will heaven be your home?” If you can’t answer that question or are unsure about your salvation, you need to receive God in your heart. We can’t do good on our own. We need God’s help. All we have to do is confess that we are a sinner, repent of our sins, believe that Jesus died, rose from the dead, and is alive, and receive Jesus into our hearts, making Him Lord over our lives and we are saved (Romans 9:10). Receive Him now before it is too late.

I am not perfect. Neither is anyone else. However, we serve a perfect God. We are transformed by renewing our minds to the word of God daily, spending quiet time with God, and worshiping Him. You mess up, repent and get back on the right track. Do not live in condemnation. There is no condemnation when you repent and get back in Christ. We are truly free when we live a life of God. It is an exciting journey. When you get tired of your state, you will either change or die in that state. Some of us may have to hit the very bottom to change. It reminds me of a song by Deitrick Haddon Crossroads: I love the verse:

Walking ’round Empty Inside

From The Pain, You Try To Hide

Deep Down, It’s Misery

And You Think That He Can’t See

But God Understands

Won’t You Take My Hand

You Don’t Have To Hurt No More

God Is Knocking At Your Door

Take My Hand Let Me Lead The Way

Let Me Lead You To A Brighter Day

I Know You Think Nobody Knows

But You’re Standing At The Crossroads

Chorus: Where Did You Lose Your Faith

And Why Did You Walk Away

Gained The World

Now Was It Worth Your Soul?

Now You’re Standing At The Crossroads

Prayer: Lord, I thank you your yoke is easy, and burdens are light. I repent of allowing people, my emotions, sin, and things to weigh me down. I get up, take up my bed, and walk. I make no more excuses for my state. I lay those weights aside and run the race of faith, looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of my faith. Through faith and patience, I receive victory in every area of my life. Patience is a character of love, and faith works by love. Lord, help me to walk in love because it is the greatest commandment as a believer in Jesus Christ; I give you the praise and the honor in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Through The Fire, Let God Be Higher

The blog post came to me as I was worshipping God. What fire are you going through? Are you magnifying the problem or magnifying God? Our God is great, and His ways are higher than our ways and our thoughts. God promised us He is with us because He is The Great Shepherd. However, we must let Him be whatever we need Him to be in our lives as believers in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 43:2-3: 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.3 For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

The Hebrew boys Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in Daniel 3 went through the fire literally because they refused to bow to a false god. They said, “The God we serve He will deliver us.” They magnified the true and living God. They came out of the fire without a smell of smoke. God was with them. Read the entire chapter of Daniel 3.

On CeCe Winans’ album “Believe For It,” her song “No Greater” has powerful lyrics. I danced, praised, and glorified in adoration to the true and living God. The words that stood out to me in the song “No Greater” were :

No greater love I know (oh, no greater)

No greater strength I know (no, no greater)

No greater way I know (no), there’s no greater name I know

I could search high and low, any everywhere I go

No greater river flows than You, Jesus

If He’s greater (if He’s greater)

Let Him be greater (let Him be greater)

If He’s stronger (if He’s stronger)

Let Him be stronger (let Him be stronger)

Through the fire, let God be higher!

Prayer: Lord, I praise you for being the true and living God. I repent for magnifying my problem. I magnify you as the Great I am. I thank God for being with me through the fire and flood. No matter what I go through, you walk through it with me. You are my Shepherd; I have all I need. I let you be God over every part of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen! Shop t-shirts ” Be Defiant!
