Are You Flying High In The Sky; Or Crawling Around On The Ground?

The phrase was inspired by my dad during his quiet time. In the natural realm, gravity says what goes up must come down. In a positive sense speaking God’s word, praying, acting on God’s word, and praising God; the blessings come down. However, the opposite is focusing on our problems, speaking the problems, fear, unbelief, living in the past, pride, hatred, and unforgiveness, can keep us down.

Pride can keep us from going higher in life. King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:25-35 was eating grass and had hair like a beast because he did not humble himself. He gave glory to himself rather than God. After being humbled he gave glory to God. We all have at some point in our lives done things on our own without God and have been humbled. We all have said “I did this” or “I did that” and ended up being humbled. We did like the king in Daniel gave glory to our abilities rather than God. God is displeased with pride.

Proverbs 16:18: Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 29:23: A man’s pride and sense of self-importance will bring him down,

But he who has a humble spirit will obtain honor.

Matthew 23:12: 12 Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be raised to honor.

Romans 10:14:How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

James 4:6: God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Unforgiveness is another way to keep us from flying high. Forgiveness is for us to move forward. We don’t have to like what was done or be happy about it. However, we should not hold onto it. We should give it to God. God’s vengeance is much better than what we can plan. Bitterness and hatred consume and keep us stagnant. It causes depression, illness death. and anxiety. Ask God for help to get through the pain. God also uses gifted and anointed people to help us through the pain. If we do not forgive others, God can not forgive us (Matthew 6:15). His hands are tied. We reap what we sow. God loved us and forgave us when we did not deserve it. We should do the same. Blessed are the merciful for they will obtain mercy (Matthew 5:7) Love does not keep account of wrongs done to us. We must let it go.

Fear and unbelief will keep us down. God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We can get faith not by praying for faith but, by hearing the word of God from the anointed preacher, teacher, and prophet (Romans 10:17). Reading the word, speaking the word, hearing the word, and meditating the word bring revelation for us to step out in faith. Actions follow what you believe (Mark 16:17) Ask God to help you in areas you struggle in with your faith. Hear the word over and over until your faith is built up to get results.

Mark 9 Jesus dealt with a man who had a boy with demons that caused him to roll around on the ground and foam at the mouth. The man said to Jesus “if you can do anything take pity on us and help us.” Jesus answered the man “if you can?” “All things are possible to them that believe.” The man said, “I do believe but help my unbelief.” Jesus rebuked the foul spirit and it came out of the boy.

The anointed pastor I listened to gave a great example of God taking us from faith to faith glory to glory. The pastor mentioned God will meet you where you are with your faith not where you pretend to be. A man was sick in the hospital and the pastor asked him:”what can you believe God for concerning your healing? “He said each day he was getting worse and he wants to get a little better. The pastor prayed and agreed with his request. A good report came back that he was better. The man told the pastor to pray again that he gets better than before. The report came and he was better than before. The pastor came back days later looking for the man and the doctor said the man fully recovered and is out of the hospital. Healing manifested for the man.

Remain humble; God gets the glory. Forgive, remain in love, and give your pain to God so he can restore you. Build your faith up by hearing the word of God and allow God’s perfect love to cast out fear. If you sin repent and get back on track; there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ.

PrayerGod I allow you to lead and guide me. I repent for being prideful and doing things on my own. I forgive so I can be forgiven and give my anger/hurt over to you to handle my situation. I repent when I fall and get back on the right track. I let your perfect love cast all fear and unbelief in my life. I rise higher in you in Jesus’ name! Amen.

March and God Will Enlarge!

I was fellowshipping with God Saturday morning and the phrase came to me, I begin rejoicing. It is nothing like being with God it is the best satisfaction and high that a person or a thing can give.

Webster’s meaning of March: (1) to move along steadily usually with a rhythmic stride  (2)  to move in a direct purposeful mannerto make steady progress.

We walk by faith and not by what we see. The biggest faith walk for God to enlarge us is the love walk. The enemy uses offenses to get us off the love walk because the devil knows faith works by love. Read 1 Corinthian 13 every day and when the offense arises say “no I choose to walk in love even though I am angry, irritated, and hurt.” We can not progress if we are not walking in love or holding on to anger and bitterness.

Most of us heard the saying from Psalm 30:5: weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.  God revealed to me when David had a problem, frustration, anger, hurt, disappointment, or crisis, he would immediately go to God and tell Him how he was feeling. God would give him comfort and a word to hold David over until victory came. Do not let a negative emotion stay. God is a very present help. It is okay to be angry, but do not let it cause you to be bitter by holding onto it. Ask God to help you, and then joy comes. Maintain the joy by holding onto what God said to get to your promised land. Sometimes when you cry to God He delivers speedily. Other times He just gives you a word to hold onto while you are going through your midnight season to get you to the other side. Remain steady. If you have to cry out to God several times during the day, do it. God restores your soul which means it is a day-to-day process. God’s mercies are new every morning.

The faith walk begins with the word of God. In the beginning, was the word, and the word was with God.; the word was God (John 1:1) The word then became flesh/reality. We continue in the word, then we are God’s disciples (followers of Jesus Christ), we know the truth, and the truth sets us free (John 8:31). It is consistency that leads us to the enlarged territory. God’s word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105); it is a guide

Let God be your Shepherd to lead and guide you. Acknowledge God as you take steps of faith and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6) Read Psalm 23. God guides us through every stage of our lives.

God loves us and wants the best for us. We walk in confidence that God loves us and in His word, God’s perfect love casts out fear. (1 John 4:18) God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (the mind of Christ) 2 Timothy 1:7. God can give us instruction on what to do however if it is a challenge we can allow fear to keep us from moving forward. They that are fearful are not made perfect in love (1 John 4:18) When we know God loves us, we can walk in boldness because God is with us every step of the way. God knows the plan for our lives, plans to prosper us not harm us, to give us hope, and a future (Jeremiah 29:11) If we fall, we can get back up with the help of God. Do not live in condemnation because there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ when we confess and get back on the right track. Do not look back it can keep you from being enlarged. Keep going higher in God like an eagle.God takes us from faith to faith, glory to glory!

March and God will enlarge!

PrayerThank you God for blessing me, Enlarge my territory. Keep your hands upon me, and keep me from evil. I walk by faith by choosing to stay in love. God, I receive your love, and do not walk in condemnation. I repent and get back on the right track. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Because I know you love me, I have no fear. I can come boldly before your throne and find grace to help in times of need. I trust you to be my shepherd to guide me through every phase of my life. In Jesus’ name! Amen.

A Beautiful Soul Is Better Than A Pot of Gold

Nothing is wrong with being rich and having a lot of money. We can use money to help others and as believers, use it to get the message of Jesus love to those who need it. However, letting money control us, becoming prideful, doing sinful things to get money, and serving money above God is sinful. Dave Ramsey said money only magnifies what is in you. If you are a giving person before you are wealthy, you will be a giving person with the wealth. A person who has no sexual control before the money, will use the money to spend to satisfy the lust for sex. A person that is selfish before will be selfish and greedy with the money.

1 Timothy 6:10 says: For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

We have seen from the movie industry, music/entertainment industry, and everyday people as a whole who have strayed from God because of money. God gives us all things to richly enjoy, but not at the expense of our soul.

Mark 8:36 New Living Translation: 36 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

The world is the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). The earth is temporary. Our looks can change, things can wear out, our feelings can change, and pride will bring a person low. However, God’s kingdom is eternal and He never changes His character. If you don’t know God, receive Him now before it is too late. We do not know the day or the hour when the Lord will return.

Proverbs 22:1 New Living Translation: Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold..

A person can be talented and gifted, but if their character is not good, no one wants to be around them. We have seen it to be true in the entertainment industry where companies are skeptical about backing a person, no matter how talented that person is. I like the Martin Luther King quote: “Everyone wants to be known, but the most important thing is to be known for is love.” We can go higher in God as we continue to walk in the agape love and living for the glory of God. We seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else will be added (Matthew 6:33). God takes care of His children.

A beautiful soul is better than a pot of gold!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for loving me even when I don’t deserve it. I repent for loving money and the things of this world over you. God, I walk in the fruits of the spirit and remain in love. You loved me so much you gave your only Son Jesus to die for me. I seek you first and your kingdom and everything will be added to me. I live my life to glorify you. Lord, let my life show your love in order to draw people into the kingdom of God. I receive it and thank you God in advance, In Jesus name! Amen.

Wrong Voices Leads to Wrong Choices

It started in The Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis. God told Adam every tree of the garden you may eat but, the tree of the the knowledge of good and evil, do not eat. God told Adam the day he eat of it he would surely die. A lot of us have been like Adam: God gives us instruction and we decide to do our own thing. Or a person of wisdom, like a parent or elder/mentor, gives us wise counsel. But we still do what we want to do. The devil deceived Eve and told her she would not surely die. He told her the day that she eats from the tree she would become like God. Eve saw what was on the tree looked good to her eyes and she ate it and gave it to Adam. Adam knew the truth but ate of it anyway. The result is they were kicked out of the garden of Eden.

The devil will give you a truth but not the whole truth. They didn’t die right away but they died spiritually and then later physically. Adam and Eve did get knowledge that they were naked and they tied leaves around them. Before, they were clothed in the glory of God. Adam and Eve were meant to live forever with God in eternity.

If it is not in line with what God said or the word God says, we should not listen to it. Those who are not saved receive Jesus now. Read Romans 10:9-10. John 10:27: My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. God is our shepherd and we lack no good thing when we let Him lead and guide us through every phase of our lives (Psalm 23).

In 1 Kings 13, A man of God from Judah received a word from God: ‘You must not eat bread or drink water or return by the way you came.”  He refused king Jeroboam when he offered to eat with him. An old prophet offered to eat with him and he refused at first. The old prophet insisted again.

1 Kings 13:18-29: The old prophet answered, “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (But he was lying to him.) 19 So the man of God returned with him and ate and drank in his house.20 While they were sitting at the table, the word of the Lord came to the old prophet who had brought him back. 21 He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah, “This is what the Lord says: ‘You have defied the word of the Lord and have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. 22 You came back and ate bread and drank water in the place where he told you not to eat or drink. Therefore your body will not be buried in the tomb of your ancestors.’” 23 When the man of God had finished eating and drinking, the prophet who had brought him back saddled his donkey for him. 24 As he went on his way, a lion met him on the road and killed him, and his body was left lying on the road, with both the donkey and the lion standing beside it. 25 Some people who passed by saw the body lying there, with the lion standing beside the body, and they went and reported it in the city where the old prophet lived.26 When the prophet who had brought him back from his journey heard of it, he said, “It is the man of God who defied the word of the Lord. The Lord has given him over to the lion, which has mauled him and killed him, as the word of the Lord had warned him.”27 The prophet said to his sons, “Saddle the donkey for me,” and they did so. 28 Then he went out and found the body lying on the road, with the donkey and the lion standing beside it. The lion had neither eaten the body nor mauled the donkey. 29 So the prophet picked up the body of the man of God, laid it on the donkey, and brought it back to his own city to mourn for him and bury him.

Just because a person is mature in age or a person with experience, doesn’t mean we should listen to them. If God tells us to do something, no matter what anyone says, we should do what God says. If it is not in line with the word of God, do not follow it. Everyone’s experience is different, but that doesn’t mean it is right either. God can use young or mature people to speak His word. Because the man of God from Judah didn’t listen to the voice of God, he was killed. We have to stand firm and not let anyone change our minds when we know what God said. Adam did the same thing. Even though he didn’t die immediately, he eventually died and lost spiritual connection with God. We can also die spiritually and physically listening to the wrong voice. Let God’s word be true and everyone else a liar! (Romans 3:5)

Job 32: 4-9: Now Elihu had waited before speaking to Job because they were older than he. But when he saw that the three men had nothing more to say, his anger was aroused.So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said: “I am young in years, and you are old; that is why I was fearful, not daring to tell you what I know.I thought, ‘Age should speak;
advanced years should teach wisdom.’But it is the spirit[b] in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding. It is not only the old[c] who are wise, not only the aged who understand what is right.

My grandmother used to say “There isn’t anything worse than an old fool.” A person that believes, signs will follow their life. A tree produces fruit. We must judge a person’s life when listening to them. A person’s life must line up with the wisdom of God, not their own wisdom. Read the book of Proverbs each day. It gives plenty of wisdom for day to day life. Read the word of God and spend time with God to gain wisdom . James 1:5 says, If any person lacks wisdom let Him ask God and he will give it without condemnation.

Wrong voices leads to wrong choices!

Prayer: Thank you God for your wisdom which is above any person’s natural wisdom. I repent for ignoring your voice and doing what I want to do. Because you are my shepherd, I rely on you to lead and guide me through your word and through the leading of the Holy Spirit. If I lack wisdom, I ask you and you will give it to me without condemnation. Your word is true anything else is a lie. I stand firm and do not change in what you told me. God help me in areas that I am weak. In you I have the victory in Jesus name! Amen!

Clean Your Spirit With The Bible; Lay Down The Idols!

The phrase came listening to praise/worship music. Praise and worship is one of the ways for God to search our hearts and transform us in His presence. Anything can become an idol when we put it ahead of God, including our purpose and calling. God gives us the vision for our purpose, but we have to continue to let Him lead and guide us in order for the anointing of God to flow. God led me to watch Esther, then I was led to fast, and in a dream I was instructed to do freelance writing which is the blog. God would give me a phrase during the week and then lead me to do something else and come back to it. It is not my will. He is just using me as a vessel to get the word out to encourage people. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and the things will be added.

Exodus 20:2-4 Living Translation: “I am Jehovah your God who liberated you from your slavery in Egypt.“You may worship no other god than me.“You shall not make yourselves any idols: no images of animals, birds, or fish. You must never bow or worship it in any way; for I, the Lord your God, am very possessive. I will not share your affection with any other god!

We are created in the image and likeness of God. A husband wouldn’t want his wife doing more for another man and neglecting the marriage. God is the same way. He created us. A lot of us worship things and people God created over Him. It is okay to appreciate a person’s gift and talents, but when we try to pattern our lives like them rather than God, that is your idol/god. God is perfect; we are not. Nothing should surprise us about people because in our flesh dwells nothing good. We can’t even have confidence in ourselves. Jesus said no one is good. Only God is good. Things can wear out. Medicine can have a temporary fix and possible side effects. God is eternal with no side effects.
1 John 2:14-17 Living Translation: 14 And so I say to you fathers who know the eternal God, and to you young men who are strong with God’s Word in your hearts, and have won your struggle against Satan: 15 Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love these things you show that you do not really love God; 16 for all these worldly things, these evil desires—the craze for sex, the ambition to buy everything that appeals to you, and the pride that comes from wealth and importance—these are not from God. They are from this evil world itself. 17 And this world is fading away, and these evil, forbidden things will go with it, but whoever keeps doing the will of God will live forever.

God gives us all things to richly enjoy, but we are not to let the things control our purpose and call on earth. We were created to glorify God. Lust is temporary and fades, pride can bring you low, and things can go away. The human heart is never satisfied. Only God can satisfy us.

Matthew 22:35-40 NIV: 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

You love God with all your heart when you are walking in the God kind of love, because God is love. Love sums up everything.

Colossians 3:1-11 Living Translations: Since you became alive again, so to speak, when Christ arose from the dead, now set your sights on the rich treasures and joys of heaven where he sits beside God in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts; don’t spend your time worrying about things down here. You should have as little desire for this world as a dead person does. Your real life is in heaven with Christ and God. And when Christ who is our real life comes back again, you will shine with him and share in all his glories.Away then with sinful, earthly things; deaden the evil desires lurking within you; have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires; don’t worship the good things of life, for that is idolatry. God’s terrible anger is upon those who do such things. You used to do them when your life was still part of this world; but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language.Don’t tell lies to each other; it was your old life with all its wickedness that did that sort of thing; now it is dead and gone. 10 You are living a brand new kind of life that is continually learning more and more of what is right, and trying constantly to be more and more like Christ who created this new life within you. 11 In this new life one’s nationality or race or education or social position is unimportant; such things mean nothing. Whether a person has Christ is what matters, and he is equally available to all.

Evil can rub off on us quicker than good. We have to consistently cleanse ourselves through the word of God. Ask God to help you in areas you have a challenge in. Have a mentor or an accountability partner to keep your life balanced. If you mess up, confess it to God, repent and start back on the right track. Begin to worship and praise God; it transforms you Fast and pray. Some things take fasting to break strongholds. The devil is the prince of the power of the air. Media, music, radio, and television works through the airwaves. We have to guard our hearts and watch what we listen to and look at.

Cleanse your spirit with the bible, lay down the idols!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for loving me and giving your only Son Jesus as a sacrifice for me. I repent for putting other things before you. God, reveal all idols in my life. I set my affection on things above because this realm is not where I will spend eternity. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. God, I show love to you by walking in love and loving my neighbor. You are not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance. If I fall I get back up and start on the right path. I thank you for the victory. In Jesus name! Amen!

Hate Stinks and Watches While You Sink

Last week blog was dealing with loving people to draw them in to the kingdom of God. God commands us to love one another. We can hate the sin and not the person. Harboring unforgiveness and hate towards a person is not of God. Read 1 Corinthians 13 daily on the attributes of love. God is love and if you are operating in bitterness and hate God is not pleased. Remember the Webster’s meaning of forget is to intentionally disregard any wrong done to you. However. it takes faith to walk in the God kind of love.

I John 4:8 NIV : Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. When we walk in love that is how we get closer to God and that is how we know Him. Love is patient so you will be tested with people cutting you off in traffic, or a family/friend who may get rude and say harsh words to you; that is the time to walk by faith by choosing to walk in love. Love is not a feeling, it is a choice. God reminded me we love Him if we keep His commandments. The greatest commandment is love

Love is the fulfillment of the law. Faith works by love. I was reminded if we love God He will manifest Himself to us. (John 14:21). We can walk in the full manifestation of God’s promises by walking in love.

1 John 3:15-18 NIV: 15 Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

We may not physically murder a person but in God’s eyes it is one and the same when we hate people. We should pray for the ones who does us wrong. Some we have to love from a distance. Even Jesus moved on when they did not receive Him.

Matthew 5:43-48:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor (fellow man) and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, [n]love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may [show yourselves to] be the children of your Father who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on those who are evil and on those who are good, and makes the rain fall on the righteous [those who are morally upright] and the unrighteous [the unrepentant, those who oppose Him]. 46 For if you love [only] those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do that? 47 And if you greet only your brothers [wishing them God’s blessing and peace], what more [than others] are you doing? Do not even the Gentiles [who do not know the Lord] do that? 48 You, therefore, will be perfect [growing into spiritual maturity both in mind and character, actively integrating godly values into your daily life], as your heavenly Father is perfect.

God led me to watch “The Meanest Man In Texas” on Tubi. It is based on a true story. Convicted murderer Clyde Thompson receives the death penalty for shooting two men in Texas in 1928. When the governor spares his life, Thompson gains a reputation as the meanest man in the state while working hard labor in prison. After receiving three life sentences for other crimes, Thompson soon turns his life around by studying the Bible, becoming a chaplain and developing a relationship with Julia Perryman — the love of his life. Powerful movie on how the love of God can come in and transform the meanest criminal. God reminded me about the thief on the cross how he believed in Jesus and told him to remember him in paradise. As long as you are breathing there is hope. God is no respect of persons and not willing that any should die in their sins but that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), it means God loves the criminals as well. Hell is much worse than prison. We should pray for criminals souls to be saved. It is not easy to do. It takes the power of God through His word and the leading of the Holy Spirit to love someone who is a murderer who has no remorse. However, Jesus died for them too. We don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but we come against the evil spirit operating in them.

Years back, I was treated badly by a superior at work. My team I worked with was very frustrated with our superior. We went in and prayed over the situation. We prayed God change the heart of our superior or change the situation. We continued to work as unto God. The person got demoted while I was on vacation. Someone called me and shared the news. I started rejoicing and saying that is what that person get. God immediately reminded me of a scripture in Proverbs 24:17-18: 17 Do not rejoice and gloat when your enemy falls,And do not let your heart be glad [in self-righteousness] when he stumbles,18 Or the Lord will see your gloating and be displeased, And turn His anger away from your enemy. Vengeance is God’s business not ours. I immediately repented and asked God to help me.

Matthew 6:15 NIV: 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

1 John 4:20 Message Version: If anyone boasts, “I love God,” and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won’t love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can’t see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You’ve got to love both.

Do not be like Joseph brothers who hated him without a cause and plotted to kill him because of jealousy. Joseph loved his brothers in spite of what they did and he went from the pit to the palace. Cain killed his brother Abel out of anger because God accepted Abel’s offering and rejected his offering. Love doesn’t seek its own, it is not jealous. When we congratulate others the anointing comes for you to receive. Ask God to help you. You can be angry at injustice or wrong done but do not sin by holding onto anger because it can turn into bitterness, hatred, and rage. I vent to God a lot when I am upset and God would deal with me and instruct me in what to do. The phrase “release the grudge God is the judge” came from me venting to God because I was hurt. God told me I had to let it go. I wrote the blog and it was one of the most read blogs because people were able to identify with what I was going through.

Hate stinks and watches while you sink!

Prayer: God, thank you for your unfailing love. I get to know you when I walk in love because you are love. Love is the greatest commandment. God shine a light in areas where I fall short. Faith works by love. I am not overcome by evil but I overcome evil with good. I pray for everyone because you are not willing that any should die in their sins but all come to repentance. You are no respect of persons. You died for all people. Vengeance belongs to you so I release bitterness, hatred, unforgiveness and give it over to you. I thank you for the victory in Jesus name! Amen.

Love Draws And Catches Us When We Fall

My Uncle Terry was talking to me about how me and my sister come over a lot like a second home. I told him “Love draws.” Because of the love shown by my aunt and uncle, it drew me to them. Even when I am corrected, I know it is from a place of love though it hurts sometimes. Jeremiah 31:3 Living Translation: For long ago the Lord had said to Israel: I have loved you, O my people, with an everlasting love; with loving-kindness I have drawn you to me.

Love doesn’t keep account of wrongs done (1 Corinthians 13:5). God told me to look up the meaning of the word “forget” a while back from the blog: Instead of Passing It, Start Casting It; please read. I used to believe that you can’t forgive and forget, but God had to show me that I can. One of Webster’s meaning of forget is: to intentionally disregard. That is the same as not keeping an account of the wrong done to us in order for us to move forward. We can still have the memory of it, but when we do not dwell on the wrong done to us, it loses its power over us. True forgiveness is forgetting. I have had painful situations happen to me that I didn’t dwell on and unless someone brings it up, I forget all about it. God casts our sins into the sea of forgetfulness when we repent. We are made in the image and likeness of God, which mean we can forgive and forget. Joseph had a lot of wrong done to him. However, in Genesis 41:51 Joseph said, “God has caused me to forget all my sorrow.” Joseph intentionally disregarded the wrong that was done to him by his brothers and Potiphar’s wife. He had the memory when his brothers came during the famine. He tested them to see what was in their heart, and wrestled with his emotions before he revealed himself to his brothers. He made a choice to love.

Philipians 3:12-16 Amplified Version: 12 Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on [e]so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. 13 [f]Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 All of us who are mature [pursuing spiritual perfection] should have this attitude. And if in any respect you have a different attitude, that too God will make clear to you. 16 Only let us stay true to what we have already attained.

Love also corrects when we see a brother or sister in the kingdom of God going astray. We speak the truth in love as we are led by God what to do.

Galatians 6:1-5 Amplified Version:Brothers, if anyone is caught in any sin, you who are spiritual [that is, you who are responsive to the guidance of the Spirit] are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness [not with a sense of superiority or self-righteousness], keeping a watchful eye on yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love]. For if anyone thinks he is something [special] when [in fact] he is nothing [special except in his own eyes], he deceives himself. But each one must carefully scrutinize his own work [examining his actions, attitudes, and behavior], and then he can have the personal satisfaction and inner joy of doing something commendable [a]without comparing himself to another. For every person will have to bear [with patience] his own burden [of faults and shortcomings for which he alone is responsible].

Galatians 4:15-16 15 But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love.

We need each other. Ephesians 4:9-10 Amplified Version: Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor; 10 for if [a]either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have another to lift him up.

Love Draws and catches us when we fall!

Prayer: God, I thank you for loving me first and for choosing me even when I didn’t choose you. God I repent for not walking in the fullness of love. God, put a check in my spirit when I get off course because faith works by love. Love is a choice not a feeling and I choose to love because you commanded us to. I draw people into the kingdom by walking in your everlasting love. In Jesus name! Amen!

Live The Life God Chose. Take Off Your Grave Clothes!

The phrase came to me as I was reading John 11. Anyone that is not saved please give your life to Christ by confessing you are a sinner in need of a savior, believing that Jesus died and rose from the dead. Believe in your heart, confess your sins declaring that Jesus is Lord, and salvation is yours. Start the journey of a renewed life by reading, listening, meditating, and acting on the word of God. If you fall, repent and get back on the right track. A righteous person falls seven times and gets back up (Proverbs 24:16). Every problem you face is in the word of God. It is the first step to taking off your grave clothes. God sent His Son Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice so we can live a life of freedom through Him.

We are taking our grave clothes off by renewing our mind to the word of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV: 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

Romans 12:2: And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

We take off our grave clothes by walking in love because God is love. 1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

We take off our grave clothes by yielding to the spirit and put to death our fleshly desires. Romans 8:12-16: 12 So then, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation, but not to our flesh [our human nature, our worldliness, our sinful capacity], to live according to the [impulses of the] flesh [our nature without the Holy Spirit]— 13 for if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever. 14 For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. 17 And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.

We are taking off grave clothes by believing what the word of God says not what the situation tells us. John 11:39-44 39 “Take away the stone,” he said.“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

It is time as believers for people to see the glory of God. The glory of God will draw people into the kingdom of God. Take off the grave clothes of depression and put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Take off the grave clothes of lack because we are the seed of Abraham and heirs. Because the Lord is our Shepherd, we want for nothing. Take off the grave clothes of sickness and receive the healing Jesus died for. Take off the grave clothes of bitterness and anger and receive the love of God.

Live the life God Chose! Take Off The Grave Clothes!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die for me. Now all things are new in my life. I am redeemed from the curse and live in the blessing of God. I put to death anything that is not like Jesus and live a life of the kingdom of God. I am transformed daily by renewing my mind to the word of God. In Jesus name Amen!

If You Can See It! You Can Be It!

My dad, from my childhood up until now, would share faith in Jesus with me. He would even tell me “I wish I could pour it into your head so you can understand.” Later on some of the things my dad shared with me started to unfold and I was able to understand. When we accept Jesus as Lord of our lives and begin spending time with God, our spiritual eyes become open to the things of God in the spirit realm.

Ephesians 1:18-20 Amplified Version:  18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the [f]hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the [g]saints (God’s people), 19 and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe.

Romans 12:2 Amplified Version: And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

Proverbs 23:7 : For As a person thinks in their heart so that person becomes.

Philippians 4:8-9 Amplified: Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.

All of God’s promises are yes and amen to the glory of the Father (1 Corinthians 1:20). When a negative report of sickness comes to you, see yourself healed. An anointed preacher said: “See yourself picking up that bed and carrying it instead of that bed carrying you out of here.” God delivers as far as you can see. Instead of seeing yourself running out, see yourself running over!

If you can see it, you can be it!

Prayer: Thank you Jesus for loving me enough to sacrifice your life for me. You endured the cross because you saw the end. God help me to see things through your eyes. God open my spiritual eyes so I can see. I see myself as you see me: redeemed, forgiven, healed, prosperous, whole, and complete in you. Christ is in me, the hope of glory! In Jesus name! Amen!
