Let God Determine Your Fate. Be Willing To Wait!

Webster’s meaning of fate: Final outcome.

We all have desires, dreams, and goals we want to obtain in life. We can become anxious and want to do things our own way. If we give our situations to God, God always causes us to triumph through Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 2:14). It takes faith and complete trust in God waiting on His instructions of what to do next.

Me and my sister love concerts and plays. Most of you all are familiar with the Broadway play “Hamilton.” The creator used hip-hop with singing to tell the history of one of the founding fathers, “Alexander Hamilton” The song that stuck with me the most is “Wait For It”

Here are some of the lyrics that stood out to me the most:

I am the one thing in life I can control
I am inimitable (unique), I am an original
I’m not falling behind or running late
I’m not standing still
I am lying in wait

Waiting is not sitting around hoping and wishing for something to happen or fall in our laps. True waiting is trusting God every step of the way. As we take steps of faith, we acknowledge God and wait on Him to direct us in which way to go (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Habakkuk 2:2-3 Message: And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.

It is easy to jump ahead of God when we see things happening for others and not ourselves. It may look like you are behind, but God’s timing is never late. It is perfect. We can write out our vision. Keep it before us and even in a notebook or folder, so we can envision it. However, in order to succeed we must trust God with our goals and dreams. There maybe many plans in our hearts, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails! (Proverbs 19:21)

Let God determine your fate. Be willing to wait!

Prayer: We magnify you God for your unfailing love, grace and mercy towards us. God you are faithful and patient with us. We have made plans on our own without consulting you and failed. Lord you said in your word according to Philippians 4:6-7 to be anxious for nothing but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make our requests known and you will give us peace. We ask for forgiveness for not trusting you when making decisions. We are like Isaiah 40:31; we wait upon the Lord and you will renew our strength. We will soar like eagles because our trust is in you. We will run and not grow weary. We will walk and not faint. Through faith and patience we inherit the promise! We are not standing still, we are waiting on the instructions of God as we take steps of faith. We know with God there is no hit or misses. We always triumph through Christ Jesus! We are thanking you now in advance for the victory! In Jesus name, Amen.

Do You Want The Devil To Flee? Submit To The Almighty.

I had a dream on last Sunday morning. I was asleep in the dream. Two children that looked about the age of 10 to 12 came into my room from the side door. I woke up immediately before they could do anything. I said with authority: “Get out!” I woke up and asked God what was the meaning of the dream. He spoke to me and said “You see how you took authority and immediately they ran off?‘ I replied, “Yes” and then I heard “You want the devil to flee? Submit to the Almighty” I began rejoicing.

There have been times when we have allowed evil in us and around us. When evil enters into the side door, are we going to let it in? As believers, we have authority. In Genesis 1:28, it tells us to have dominion over the earth.

Luke 10:19 King James Version: 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

We maintain our power by coming under the authority of God and trusting what the word of God says to us.

James 4:7 Amplified Version: So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.

There are times when we have allowed evil to lay dormant in us until it was hard to break free from it. You tried to rebuke the devil over certain areas of your life and nothing happened. What does the word of God says about this?

In Matthew 17, Jesus cast out the demons but the disciples tried and couldn’t.

Matthew 17:19-21 New King James Version: 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

If there is anything in your life that you tried to get rid of and couldn’t, your answer is prayer and fasting. It means getting alone with God and sacrificing the normal things you would do ( such as social media, people, TV, certain foods you were eating, etc) so you can hear from God. You replace what you normally would do with meditating on the word of God, listening to the word of God, worship/praise unto God, and getting quiet. Isaiah 58:6 says that fasting looses the bands of wickedness (evil). Please read the complete Chapter of Isaiah 58 to understand fasting. Fasting strengthens your faith.

Once you have given control over to God, you can walk in victory. You can’t cast out evil with evil inside you. In Acts 19 starting at verse 15, some Jews tried to cast out demons using the name of Jesus. The demons inside the man said “Paul I know, Jesus I know, but who are you?” The demons inside the man jumped on them and overpowered them then beat them until they were bleeding and naked. The news spread to the other Jews, which made them honor and respect God more. People who practiced sorcery, burned the scrolls with witchcraft in them and the word of God spread.

The devil and demons should tremble at our command because we walk under the authority of God. We can bind and loose things on earth and it will be loosed in heaven according to Matthew 16 :18.

You want the devil to flee? Submit to the Almighty!

Prayer: We come to you thanking you for another word from heaven. God you are high and lifted up above every situation, devil, and demon! We repent for not submitting to you in every area of our lives. We ask for your grace and mercy. Any areas that are out of control in our lives we go into prayer and fasting to loose the bands of wickedness. We come under your authority by believing and trusting you through your word. We walk in confidence, boldness, and faith in your word that demons tremble at our command. We give you the glory! In Jesus name! Amen.

When Things Go Left, It’s Good To Be Kept

Left or Right? Why a Character's Lateral Movement On-Screen ...

In life things can be going right. Then, all of a sudden, it goes left. Something devastating, unexpected, and disappointing can happen out of nowhere. For example, this year started out hopeful. We had plans and goals to accomplish. Then all of a sudden, everything went left. The corona virus spread. There are huge amounts of death. Businesses as well as homes, are in financial trouble. Parents are still adjusting to teaching children from home. Racism is out in the open. People are dealing with depression. We are limited on where we can go. The list goes on and on. The good news is that God is a keeper. We can trust Him to get us through trying times.

Webster’s meaning: Keep-(1) To retain in one’s position or power; to have in control (2) to preserve and maintain. (3) to watch over and defend. (4) to take care of.

How can we retain our power? Isaiah 26:3 New King James: You will keep him in perfect peace,Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

How can we maintain and preserve our minds in difficult times? Psalm 55:22 Amplified Version: Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).

How does God defend/fight for us and watch over us? Psalm 91:10-11 Amplified Version: Because you have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,10 No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.11 For He will command His angels in regard to you,To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].

What does it say in the word of God about God taking care of us? Psalm 23:1 Amplified Version: The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want.

When things go left, it’s good to be kept!

Prayer: Thank you God for another fresh word. Your mercies are new every morning and we thank you. Lord we repent for allowing challenges in life to get the best of us. We choose to keep our minds on you to get us through difficult times. We allow you to be a present help for us when we are in trouble. We take refuge in you. We cast everything on you so you can keep our minds and give us peace. We trust you to be our shepherd that provides, guides and protects us. Lord be merciful unto us. Bless and keep us. Cause your face to shine upon us. We thank you and receive everything we prayed for in Jesus name!

It Is Done! The Victory Is Won!

Our victory is in Jesus. He lived as an example for us, overcame temptation, and died on the cross, taking the sin for us. He was buried and He rose again defeating Satan. We don’t have to walk in defeat because Jesus fought the battle for us. When He died on the cross, He said “It is finished‘. Webster’s meaning of finish: (1) to come to an end, terminate. (2) to defeat or ruin utterly and finally. (3) to bring about death of (4) the quality or state of being perfected.

That is enough to serve God for the rest of our lives. All we have to do is trust and receive everything Jesus has already finished for us.

Revelation 22:13 says 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

God knows the beginning and the ending of everything we go through. Our faith in what God has already done for us leads us to victory through Him.

2 Corinthians 2:14 Amplified Version: 14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

1 John 5:4 New Living Translation: For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

It is done! The victory is won!

Prayer: God we thank you for winning the battle for us by sending your Son Jesus to die for us. We thank you God that those that have not received Jesus into to their lives, will receive Him now by repenting of their sins and asking Jesus to come into their life. Lord we receive everything you bore on the cross for us. By trusting in your word, we have victory and we always triumph through Jesus Christ. We no longer walk in bondage or despair, because you know our beginning and ending. We ask you to lead and guide us through your Holy Spirit and the word of God. We give you the praise, glory, and honor in Jesus name! Amen.

Don’t Settle! Go To The Next Level

Webster’s meaning of settle: To be content with.

Level:a position in a scale or rank (as of achievement, significance, or value)

Everyone who is on a higher scale or rank in life didn’t stay content with where they were. If you stay on the elevator and don’t press any button, it will not go up. In order to go higher in God, we have to move from one place to the next. What does the word of God say about moving to the next level?

Hebrews 6:1-2; 11-13 Easy Read Version So we should be finished with the beginning lessons about Christ. We should not have to keep going back to where we started. We began our new life by turning away from the evil we did in the past and by believing in God. That’s when we were taught about baptisms, laying hands on people, the resurrection of those who have died, and the final judgment. Now we need to go forward to more mature teaching.

11 We want each of you to be willing and eager to show your love like that the rest of your life. Then you will be sure to get what you hope for. 12 We don’t want you to be lazy. We want you to be like those who, because of their faith and patience, will get what God has promised.

13 God made a promise to Abraham. And there is no one greater than God, so he made the promise with an oath in his own name—an oath that he would do what he promised. 14 He said, “I will surely bless you. I will give you many descendants. 15 Abraham waited patiently for this to happen, and later he received what God promised.

Let us as believers move forward like Abraham (through our faith in action and patience in remaining steadfast to what we believe) to get what is promised to us. We have to do like Joshua Chapter 1: meditate and speak the word day and night. Then we will make our way prosperous and have good success.

Don’t settle! Go to the next level!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die for us. Thank you for leaving us an example on how to live a victorious life. Thank you for the written word and giving us the Holy Spirit to guide us. God, we repent for not being diligent in certain areas of our lives and trusting in your word. God, we desire to go higher in you by living a lifestyle of faith, applying action, and remaining patient (being steadfast in trusting what you have promised and done for us.) By meditating and speaking your word day and night, we receive everything you have for us. In Jesus’ name!

Don’t Do It By Yourself, God Is Your Help!

The phrase for the blog came when I read a post on Facebook. When Jesus ascended into heaven to be with His Heavenly Father, God left us with the Holy Spirit inside of us to help lead and guide us.

John 14:16 Easy Read Version I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever. 17 The Helper is the Spirit of truth.

John 16:131But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future.

Accepting salvation is a great thing. You have fellowship with God, are in God’s family, and you live an eternity with Him. God does speaks through other people. He also speaks through His word, when you’re spending time with Him and being silent. God also gave us the icing on the cake, which is the Holy Spirit. Being filled with the spirit is a bonus to living a victorious life in God.

As I was reading John 16, it came to me that when being filled with the Spirit and speaking in your heavenly language, you can only speak what your Father tells you to speak and it is not your own words. Glory to God! Praying naturally in your own words is good, but when praying in your heavenly language, you don’t have to guess if you’re praying the right thing. The spirit takes over and God gives you the understanding of what you prayed for. Also it is a language that the devil can’t understand. He can’t interrupt your plan if He doesn’t know what you are saying.

Act 2:4 New Living says: And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Acts 1:8 New Living says But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

We as believers can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit as we do the gift of salvation. You can confess with your mouth that you receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in your heavenly language as the spirit gives you what to say. You believe with your heart and make a sound as a step of faith with your mouth. Then, the Holy Spirit takes over and gives you what to say.

As believers, we should want every gift God has for us. Being filled with the Spirit of God helps take you hearing the voice of God to another level.

In the R. W. Schambach message “Help Is On The Way”, he had a situation that he didn’t know how to pray for. He used his helper, the Holy Spirit and began praying in his heavenly language. He said a boldness came across Him. He said he couldn’t believe what came out of his mouth. It happened just as God told him, with the help of the Holy spirit. Help came for the person he prayed for.

Help is on the way for us as believers. If you are filled with the spirit, began using it to help you to hear what God is saying. If you haven’t received the gift of the Holy Spirit receive it now. It will take you to another level in God.

Don’t do it by yourself, God is your help!

Fix Your Gaze, You’ll Be Amazed!

As I was meditating on Bill Winston “Divine Deliverance” and meditating the word of God throughout the day, the phrase came for the blog. Bill Winston said something that resonated with me. He said “God can only deliver as far as we can see.”

If all we see is debt, relationship problems, sickness, death, catching the virus, or things going from bad to worse then that is what we will receive. If we keep our focus on what the Word of God has to say about our situation, we will receive more than we could even imagine or think. A telescope helps you to see things that are distant. God can help you see things that seem distant and bring them to reality. What does the word of God says about changing your focus?

This is for believers in Christ (those who don’t know Him receive Him now Romans 10:9-10) : Colossians 3:1-2 Amplified Version Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]

We are to focus on things that are heavenly according to the Word of God, not according to how we feel or what we can see with our natural eyes.

Philippians 4:8 King James Version says Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

The goodness and the nature of God is what we need to focus on as believers.

2 Corinthians 17-18 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

Glory be to God! Even with the troubles we are experiencing now, we should look to God who knows the end, the beginning and even what is in between because He is all knowing. Like David in Psalm 121:1-2, We look to the hills for our help. Our help comes from God who made heaven and earth. God can do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think according to the power of God that works in us Ephesians 3:20.

Fix your gaze, you’ll be amazed!

To Shine, Stay On The Vine!

Are you tired of going back and forth with a problem you have been dealing with for a long time? Tired of feeling guilty, under condemnation, and helpless? The only way to get results is to stay connected with the source. Our electricity works when we stay connected to the power company.

John 15:5-8 Easy Read Version says “I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I to you, you will produce plenty of fruit. But separated from me you won’t be able to do anything. If you don’t stay joined to me, you will be like a branch that has been thrown out and has dried up. All the dead branches like that are gathered up, thrown into the fire and burned. Stay joined together with me, and follow my teachings. If you do this, you can ask for anything you want, and it will be given to you. Show that you are my followers by producing much fruit. This will bring honor to my Father.

The key is staying connected to God. I have seen people overcome certain obstacles, get comfortable trusting in their own ability/strength and end up back where they started. Connection to God will take you from faith to faith, glory to glory. You rise higher with God.

John 8:31-32 King James Version 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

It is a daily lifestyle. True freedom is in knowing the Creator and doing things His way. After all, He created us. He knows what is best for us. Continue meditating in the word throughout the day.

Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

As believers, people should see the difference by the victories and successes we have in our lives. God is glorified and it gives us an opportunity to share about the goodness of God.

Isaiah 60:1-3 Living Translation Arise, my people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you. Darkness as black as night shall cover all the peoples of the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine from you. All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see the glory of the Lord upon you.

Let us as people of God rise up and stay connected to the vine, which is The Almighty God, so people can see a better way and are drawn to the Light of God in us.

To shine, stay on the vine!

To Make It Through, Walk In The New!

Things in this natural life can become monotonous (dull, tedious, and repetitious; lacking in variety and interest). During this current time when things are repetitive with certain places being closed and traveling is limited, it is easy to get comfortable in that space. It applies to every situation in life. God made variety for a reason in animals, people, different cultures, and everything in creation. What can we do to keep things in our lives from becoming dull? It starts with our spirit man. Without the spirit living in us, our body is lifeless.

As believers, we do not serve a dull God!

Lamentations 3:21-24 :But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.’”

Glory to God! His mercies are new every morning. When you spend time with God in the morning, you feel renewed and refreshed. God gives you new revelation from chapters and verses in the bible. That is amazing within itself!

Matthew 13:52 52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

I have had songs come to me that I haven’t played in a long time and it ministered to me. Other times God would put a new song in me.

Being in fellowship with God our Creator keeps our lives from being monotonous. After all, He created us.

Psalm 116:11 You make known to me the path of life;in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore

If you don’t have a relationship with God, get to know Him. It is the most exciting journey. You don’t have to fill the void with things on this earth that can only give you temporary happiness. God is eternal and he will give you everlasting joy.

To make it through walk in the new!
