Access God’s Best

God used my dad for the title of this blog. God wants the best for us.
Everything goes back to the word of God.

Romans 5:1-2 Amplified Version: Therefore, since we
have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God]
by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of
reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed). Through
Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which
we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in
our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and
enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and

Thank God for Jesus sacrificing His life for our sins. We now have access
through faith in Jesus and the word of God. Our confidence in Jesus and the
word of God activates His power and manifests glory in our lives. That is
enough to rejoice about. However, when challenges come, we have to remain in
faith to receive.

Romans 5:3-5 And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice
in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces
patient endurance; and endurance, proven character
(spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope
and confident
assurance [of eternal salvation]. Such hope [in God’s
promises] never disappoints
us, because
God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy
Spirit who was given to us.

Glory to God! Endure is the cure! Rejoice knowing that
victory is on the other side. God always causes us to triumph through Him (Corinthians
). The challenges that we face while holding onto our faith are
preparation for the next challenge. There is a saying “New level,
new devil.”
Like Job, when you are put through the fire you will
come out as gold (Job 23:10), Don’t settle where you are; receive
the best God has for you. It develops our character.

Access God’s Best!

Prayer: Thank you God for the gift of Jesus. I now have access through
faith to all God’s promises which are all yes and amen. Lord. I repent for
settling and letting challenges get the best of me. I rejoice in my challenges
because it is preparing me for the next level. I am coming out as gold. Thank you,
God, you always cause me to triumph through you.
In Jesus name! Amen.

Win Souls, That is The Goal

Pastor Gaines taught last Sunday on being a fisherman for lost souls as a believer in Jesus. The phrase for the blog came to me one morning. God spoke to me the next morning to view lost people that do not know Jesus as a mother longing for a difficult son/daughter to change or come back home. We as believers should have the same heart as God, bringing His children back to Him. We are made in His image and likeness. I teared up thinking about God’s love towards us. It is just like a mother’s love for her children. True mothers only want the best for their son/daughter and do not want to see them hurt or self-destruct. God is the same way.

John 3:16-17 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10)

It came to me about the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15 (I advise to read the complete chapter). Jesus mentioned about a person having a hundred sheep and one is missing and how he goes back to find the sheep. Once the sheep is found, the person rejoices saying “I have found my lost sheep.” Jesus said heaven rejoices over one sinner that repents than 99 persons who don’t need to repent.

I thought about a mother with her children, and one running off. Even though the mother has other children, she still goes back and looks for the missing child. On this Mother’s Day, let us remember moms, grandmothers, aunts, and every mother who gave us love. The mothers who prayed for us, gave us words of wisdom, disciplined us to keep us on the right path, showed patience, and loves unconditionally. Most important remember God’s love towards us.

Win souls, that is the goal!

Prayer: God, thank you for loving me and for giving your only Son Jesus as a sacrifice and saving me. God, you are not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance.  Just like a mother wants the best for their children, you want the best for us. God let your love flow through me. God, I repent for not showing enough concern for the lost and only thinking of myself. God, I take advantage of every opportunity to bring lost souls into the kingdom of God. Heaven rejoices over one sinner coming to God. Thank you, God, for your unconditional love. In Jesus name! Amen

Don’t Give Up Your Right, For A Bite!

The phrase for the blog came to me as I was meditating on a Christian movie my Aunt Mary told me to watch called “The Power of the Air”. I talked to my dad about the revelation I received from a scene in the movie dealing with food. My dad told me in the bible, bread was used to make a covenant. During those times, whenever you ate bread with someone, you were making a covenant with them. There is a saying “A way to a man’s heart is his stomach.” I thought of several instances in the bible when the devil used food to lure people in to deceive them.

Adam and Eve Eats the Forbidden Fruit

God told Adam in Genesis 2, every tree of the garden they could eat but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they could not eat. The consequence was death (spiritual death). Adam knew the truth, so the serpent went to Eve first. Genesis 3:4-6 Easy Read Version But the snake said to the woman, “You will not die. God knows that if you eat the fruit from that tree you will learn about good and evil, and then you will be like God!”The woman could see that the tree was beautiful, and the fruit looked so good to eat. She also liked the idea that it would make her wise. So, she took some of the fruit from the tree and ate it. Her husband was there with her, so she gave him some of the fruit, and he ate it.

Adam and Eve were kicked/driven out of the garden and brought sin and a curse into the world.

Esau Sold His Birthright for Jacob’s Stew

Genesis 25:29-34 Living Translation: 29 One day Jacob was cooking stew when Esau arrived home exhausted from the hunt.30 Esau: “Boy, am I starved! Give me a bite of that red stuff there!” (From this came his nickname “Edom,” which means “Red Stuff.”)31 Jacob: “All right, trade me your birthright for it!”32 Esau: “When a man is dying of starvation, what good is his birthright?” 33 Jacob: “Well then, vow to God that it is mine!” And Esau vowed, thereby selling all his eldest-son rights to his younger brother. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread, peas, and stew; so, he ate and drank and went on about his business, indifferent to the loss of the rights he had thrown away.

The Man of God from Judah

1 Kings 13:14-23 :13 The old prophet went after the man of God. He found him sitting under an oak tree and asked him, “Are you the man of God who just came from Judah?” The man of God answered, “Yes, I am.”15 So the old prophet said, “Please come home and eat with me.”16 But the man of God said, “I cannot go home with you. I cannot eat or drink anything in this place. 17 The Lord said to me, ‘You must not eat or drink anything in that place, and you must go back on a different road.’”18 The old prophet lied to him and said, “But I am a prophet like you. And an angel from the Lord came to me and told me to bring you home and give you something to eat and drink.”19 So the man of God went to the old prophet’s house and ate and drank with him. 20 While they were sitting at the table, the Lord spoke to the old prophet, 21 and the old prophet spoke to the man of God from Judah. He said, “The Lord said that you did not obey him! You did not do what he commanded. 22 He told you not to eat or drink anything in this place, but you came back here and ate and drank. So, your body will not be buried in your family grave.”23 The man of God finished eating and drinking. Then the old prophet saddled the man’s donkey for him, and the man left. 24 On the way home, a lion attacked and killed the man of God. His body was lying on the road while the lion stood next to it. The donkey stood nearby. 25 Some people came walking by and saw the body and the lion standing by it. They went into the city where the old prophet lived and told people what they had seen on the road.

Jesus is Tested in the Wilderness

Matthew 4:3-4Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’

I noticed that in each situation the devil tempted them when they were on a spiritual high or when they were at their lowest. We must be aware of the devil’s schemes. Jesus resisted the devil with the word of God. When the devil comes at us say, “it is written.” Study and know the word of God so you can resist the devil when tempted.

We are spiritually aware when: we acknowledge God in all our ways, and He will direct our path (Proverbs 3:6).

1 Peter 5:8 Amplified Version Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be always alert and cautious. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.

Galatians 6:8 Amplified Version: For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Do not give up your right for a bite!

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for sending me your Holy Spirit that lives in me. I repent for sowing to my flesh reaping corruption desensitizing me to the devil’s schemes and the voice of God. I walk in the spirit and do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. I am in the world not of the world. God, I acknowledge you in all my ways rather I am on a spiritual high or in the valley and you direct my path. God help me in areas that I am weak. I lean on your strength. I have no confidence in myself but trust in God. I will not give up my rights in God for a piece of food or whatever the devil uses to lure me in to bite the hook. I do not live by bread/food alone. but every word that comes from God. I let my life be the proof of Jesus’ love and sacrifice to bring the lost into the kingdom of God. In Jesus name!

God As the Center Of Attention, Takes You To Another Dimension

Dimension: 1. Level of existence and consciousness. A. the range over which or the degree to which something extends.

God can raise our spiritual consciousness and bring things into existence that is beyond our natural comprehension. We can extend higher on this earth with the spirit of God/Holy Spirit living inside of us as believers.

We as believers put God as the center of attention by not putting anything ahead of Him. Whatever we put before God is our God/idol. Repent and ask God for help to shed light on things we are putting before Him.

Exodus 20:1-3 NKJV: And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.“You shall have no other gods before Me.

God will be the center of attention when we seek God’s way of doing things. God will bless us with things better than we could have imagined when we seek His way of doing things.

Matthew 6:33 says “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

God is the center of attention when we love Him with everything in us. God does amazing things when we show Him love.

Psalm 91:14-16 NIV: 14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.

John 14:1 Living Translation: 21 The one who obeys me is the one who loves me; and because he loves me, my Father will love him; and I will too, and I will reveal myself to him.”

God is the center of attention when we give God the glory because every good and perfect gift comes down from our Heavenly Father (James1:17).

Colossian 3:17 says “And whatever we do. in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

God as the center of attention, takes you to another dimension!

Prayer: God, I praise you for loving me first. You cared for me enough that you gave your only Son Jesus to die for my sins and saved me from hell. Lord, I just want to say thank you. God, I repent for putting other people and things before you. God, I am obedient to your word and what you tell me to do. Because I love God, you reveal things to me, you rescue me in trouble, you answer me when I call, you satisfy me with long life, you show me great and mighty things. I seek you first and your way of doing things; I know everything is added to me. I give you the glory, honor and praise. In Jesus name! Amen.

You Already There. God Answered Your Prayer

Everything is already done in the spirit realm. We must receive what God has already done by faith, through trusting in His promises as believers.

2 Corinthians 1:20: For all the promises of God are “yes” and in Him “amen” unto the glory of God by us.

1 John 5:14-15 Living Translations: 14 And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. 15 And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us.

Begin thanking God for His promises and watch for the manifestation. Put a demand on it as a child does, asking their parents for things repeatedly until that child receives it.

You are already there. God answered your prayer!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your written word you left for me, full of good things and promises. God, I repent for doubting your word and not being consistent with my requests. I continue to put you back in remembrance of your word and thanking you every day because it is already done. In Jesus name! Amen.

Rain Is In The Weather! Pull Out The Umbrella

We all watch the weather forecast to be prepared for the weather. We bring raincoats, umbrellas, and rain boots with us to be ready for the rain when the news person announces it in the forecast. In the spirit realm, we as believers can sense when it is time for the rain in our lives through the word of God, which we can get from the teaching of an anointed speaker or prophet. We also feel excitement and a rest knowing God is faithful. Let us prepare the field for the rain. It is time to pull out our spiritual umbrella; rain is here.

1 Kings 18:41-46 NIV41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,43 And said to his servant, go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, there is nothing. And he said, go again seven times.44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there arises a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, go up, say unto Ahab, prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stops thee not.45 And it came to pass in the meanwhile, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.46 And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Get ready for the rain. Whatever God has spoken to you through His word, through a preacher, teacher, or a true prophet of the word of God receive it and expect the manifestation.

2 Chronicles 20:20: 20 Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.”

No matter how it, looks expect the rain. You may be saying, “I don’t see anything happening.” I am telling you like Elijah told the servant “look again.” Expect everyday by speaking it and thanking God. Isaiah 55:11 KJV says: So, shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Rain is in the weather! Pull out the umbrella!

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for another fresh word from you. You are the true and living God. Thank you, Lord, for the rain in areas that are dry. I believe in your word, spiritual leaders, prophets and I succeed. I repent for doubting what you said when I cannot see it. It is already done in the spirit realm. I continue to thank you God in expectation because your word does not return void. I thank you for the abundance of rain! In Jesus name! Amen.

Do Not Fall To The Level Of The Devil

God worked through my dad for the title of the blog from a conversation we had on Thursday.

Today, we celebrate Jesus who died and rose again for our sins. In order to go through the pain, mockery, insults, and people humiliating Him, Jesus had to love, forgive, and trust God.

1 Peter 2:23 says 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

Jesus rose from the grave and went through everything for us and trusted God for justice. We can rise above every attack of the devil by trusting in God and His justice. In the end, Jesus got the victory and took back everything the devil stole.

Personal testimony: Thursday I received a call from a customer who was already angry because the customer did not get what was promised to him. The customer got so upset until he kept using profanity and used a racist remark towards me and hung up the phone immediately. After the customer hung up the phone, the phrase Jesus used came to me, ‘Forgive him Father for he knows not what he does.” Because of the love of God that dwells within me, it gave me the power to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. I told my dad about the situation and the blog phrase came about. What the devil meant for bad, God turned it around for my good.

Biblical Life Application: Romans 12:21 says, do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.

Matthew 5:41 If your enemy compels you go one mile go two miles.

Matthew 5:43-48: 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

We as believers will never know what is in us until we are put to the test. It is easy to love those that love you; it takes little to no effort. However, when you show love to people who are evil to you, it will either transform them or they will run. The customer I dealt with on Thursday wanted me to get upset because he was upset. I remained calm and that is when he became angry. The enemy that was operating through the customer hung up quickly before I could say anything to him. I submitted to God, resisted the devil, and he fled (James 4:7). We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but evil in high places (Ephesians 6:12-13). We can also resist the devil by not entertaining people who say abusive things towards us. Thankfully, the customer hung up but if the customer kept going with abusive language my comment would have been” I will be more than happy to assist you, but I will be releasing this call if you continue with abusive language.” My dad would take a drive when he was angry and not participate in an argument.

Pastor Gaines mentioned in one of his sermons this past week how people can be so mean and hateful, especially on social media. We as believers should use social media for the glory of God not ourselves, or to hurt others. Vengeance is God’s and He will repay (Romans 12:19). Do like Jesus and say, “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.”

We can rise above any situation because of what Jesus went through. God gave us the power when we accepted Him as Lord and Savior of our lives. Those who are not saved, if you confess with your mouth that you are a sinner in need of Jesus, believe in your heart that Jesus died and rose from the grave then salvation is yours (Romans 10:9-10). You can then start on your journey to true transformation by reading the word of God. The best place to start is in the book of John because it deals with love. Faith works by love and the greatest commandment is to love.

Do not let the devil steal from you. Paraphrasing, John 10:10 says the thief comes not but to steal, kill. and destroy, but Jesus came so that you can have life in abundance.

Do not fall to the level of the devil!

Prayer: Lord, I magnify and love you because you first loved me. Lord, I thank you for your gift of Jesus blood that cleanses me from all sin. Thank you Lord for wiping my slate clean. I repent for allowing the devil to rob from me. I rise above every evil that comes my way through the word of God and your Holy Spirit living on the inside of me. Because of what Jesus went through for me, I can rise above any situation. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! In Jesus name, Amen.

To Succeed With Longevity, Walk In Integrity

We all have seen in regular and famous people’s lives how they can quickly rise to the top and easily fall to the bottom. The difference with famous people is that it’s seen in public, whereas with regular people only a small percentage knows. The key is maintaining a life of honor.

Integrity: 1.the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. 2. the state of being whole and undivided.

What does the word of God say about not being divided, being honest and walking upright?

James 1:8: A double minded man is unstable in all His ways.

Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.

The core value of Jesus was consistently living a life of love and reaching the lost. You cannot be one way today and then another day something different. Either you are or you are not. Either you believe or you do not. Either you are saved, or you are lost. There is no in between. What you are when the pressure comes will show your true nature. My Aunt Mary says “your gift makes room for you and brings you among the great but it’s your integrity that will keep you there.”

Matthew 12:33b NIV33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. 35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

People pray for the favor of God, but favor is tied to integrity and living a life pleasing to God. We have favor with God first and then people.

Pastor Gaines would say, if you mess up, fess up! People will respect you more when you are honest even if they do not like you. My Aunt Mary uses my grandmother’s saying: “You can always respect an honest crook.”

We know if we repent by confessing our sins to God and starting on the path of righteousness, God cleanses us.

To Succeed with Longevity, Walk in integrity!

Prayer: God, I thank you for your word that transforms me daily. God, I repent for not walking in integrity at times in my life. I speak crop failure to negative seeds I have sown. God, continue to create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit within me. I cannot do this by myself, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Lord, let your light shine through me. God when I mess up, I acknowledge it and repent without living in guilt of condemnation. I thank you for your mercy endures forever. In Jesus name! Amen.

Victory You Move Toward As You Spring Forward

Saturday, March 20, is considered the first day of spring. Spring has lots of rain which causes flowers and the trees to bloom. In the spirit realm, we can receive the rain which manifests the blessings and miracles as we trust God to guide us.

TowardGoing on; in progress

Forward: Moving near the front

We progress by letting go of the things in the past and moving on to the things ahead by taking steps now.

Philippians 3:13-14: 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Hebrew 12:1-3 NIV Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

We progress by keeping our focus on God.

The word of God is good. Whatever is of good report and virtue is what we should think on (Philippians 4:8) We meditate and speak the word day and night so we can succeed (Joshua 1:8)

We progress as we are obedient to the word of God.

Deuteronomy 28:2 King James Version: And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Personal Testimony: I have been standing on Proverbs 22:7 “The rich rule over the poor and the borrower is slave to the lender.” and Romans 13:8 “Owe no one nothing but to love one another.” I prayed and God told me where to give above the tithes and offering I give at church. What I gave this week multiplied 100 times over within a few days. It was funds from a place I did not see coming not including the government money I already received this week. God is faithful when we trust Him and stand on His word.

There is a season and time for every purpose under heaven Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Victory you move toward, as you spring forward!

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for the seasons and the times you give me. I know it is a time to gather and harvest. I trust your word. I meditate, speak, and act on your word. I forget those things which are behind me and move forward. I look to you because you are the author and finisher of my faith. Whatever is good and of virtue. I think on those things. I repent for letting negative thoughts linger. i cast it down with the word of God. It is done in Jesus’ name! Amen
