God is not willing that any should perish, but that all of us would come to repentance. Hell was designed for the devil and his demons, not us. I used to watch scary movies for the thrill and screaming . I remember watching Freddy Krueger, who killed people in their dreams. One night I had a dream and the character in the movie was in my dream. I thought I was going to die in my dream. That dream was scary, but imagine burning forever with the devil, demons and fallen angels tormenting you. That is terrifying. Some may not believe in hell. I wouldn’t gamble with my eternity on it. A lot of us use the saying “I am living my truth,” but if it is not the truth of God’s word; it is a lie. The word of God tells us what to do so we can spend eternity with him. We choose eternity in hell by our actions and lifestyle. Just like Lucifer/ the devil did when he was in heaven (Read Revelation 12 and Revelation 20). He was beautiful, very gifted and musical. However, he wanted to be God. God had to let him go even though he loved him. It is just like a parent of a rebellious child. A loving parent would let them go to learn their lesson and to keep peace in the home. Lucifer self destructed and took other angels with him.
The first thing is accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior in order to enter into the kingdom of God.
Romans 10:9-10 NIV:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
A lifestyle that will keep you from spending eternity with God:
1) No Morals: Revelation 21:8 New King James Version:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
2) The Guilty and Unforgiving: Matthew 5:22 Amplified Version: 22 But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice against him shall be guilty before the court; and whoever speaks [contemptuously and insultingly] to his brother, Raca (You empty-headed idiot)!’ shall be guilty before the supreme court (Sanhedrin); and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fiery hell.
3) The Hypocrites: Matthew 7:21-23 Amplified Version: 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore, by their fruit you will recognize them [as false prophets]. 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’
4) The Unprepared :Matthew 26 Jesus gives a parable/story of a wedding invitation and one the guests was not prepared. Matthew 22:11-1411 “But when the king came in to see the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed [appropriately] in wedding clothes, 12 and he said, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wearing the wedding clothes [that were provided for you]?’ And the man was speechless and without excuse. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; in that place there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger].’ 14 For many are called (invited, summoned), but few are chosen.”
Holding on to sin: Matthew 5:29 is a metaphor. It basically says you have to cut off anything that causes you to sin: people or things. Holding on to sin and not repenting for it can send you to hell. Matthew 5:29-30 NIV:29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
We have to be clothed in the righteousness of God in order to enter into heaven. All of our righteousness is like filthy rags. It is through faith in Jesus we are made righteous.
How hell is described:
Matthew 8:11-12: Amplified: 11 I say to you that many [Gentiles] will come from east and west, and will sit down [to feast at the table, and enjoy God’s promises] with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven [because they accepted Me as Savior], 12 while the sons and heirs of the kingdom [the descendants of Abraham who will not recognize Me as Messiah] will be thrown out into the outer darkness; in that place [which is farthest removed from the kingdom] there will be weeping [in sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [in distress and anger].”
Matthew 25:30 Amplified: 30 And throw out the worthless servant into the outer darkness; in that place [of grief and torment] there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger]..
The description of how he devil looks:
Revelation 12L9-7 7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
Personal testimony: I was on my way to hell. I was the one who was a hypocrite saying one thing but doing something else. I made the confession of salvation at 6 and got baptized. However, the church was not in me. I served in the choir and was an usher. I did the outer works but not the inner work. After my brother called me out on it, I did like David and repented to God and asked him to help me. I have so much joy that I didn’t have before. It was not fun serving God because I was sitting under teaching at home and church, but I was doing my own thing. God is still transforming me.
Most people think that you are restricted when you are living a life for God. It is the opposite. God wants us to enjoy life, but he gives us choices. He also lets us know the consequences of making a choice that leads to death. God does not want us to self destruct like Lucifer did. We can’t be afraid as believers to tell the truth of God’s word.
Matthew 10:28 Easy Read 28 “Don’t be afraid of people. They can kill the body, but they cannot kill the soul. The only one you should fear (to reverence and respect) is God, the one who can send the body and the soul to be destroyed in hell.
Mark 8:36: 36 “And how does a man benefit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul in the process?
Those who know the truth and are in rebellion, repent and God will restore you. Those that are lost and don’t know God, give your life to Jesus now because tomorrow is not promised. All we have is today. Believers who have a relationship with God, continue to let your light shine. Share Jesus with as many people as you can through your testimony, and finish strong. The only thing God wants is our heart, not a perfect person. David was not perfect but he repented after the prophet called him out on adultery and murder. David praised and worshipped God with his whole heart no matter what he was going through. He ran to God with his situation and communicated to God like we do a friend. We should do the same. Matthew 26: 41: Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
The true terror is burning in flames forever!
Prayer : Lord, thank you for your grace and mercy. You are prolonging your time because you want people to repent so they can spend eternity with you. Lord, I repent of my sin and admit I am a sinner in need of a savior. I believe Jesus died, rose from the dead, and is coming back again. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that you live today. I receive you into my heart. I am saved and in the kingdom of God. In Jesus name! Amen!
Prayer of Reconciliation: God, I repent for straying away from your word, living in rebellion, and doing what I want to do. I repent of my sins. I ask you to forgive me. Thank you God for restoring my soul and everything in my life. In Jesus name! Amen!
