Webster’s Meaning of Radical: Very different from the usual or traditional : EXTREME
Believers it is time to rise from our break and get extreme in becoming all God created us to be here on earth. I have seen people extreme in their beliefs in many ways. However, we have to stay balanced or we will go off on the deep end. People’s souls are at stake and as believers we have to be careful that we are not ruining our witness. I have seen believers on the deep end with traditions , do’s , don’ts, and being overly religious, and negative/judgmental. I have been there. However, instead of winning souls to Christ, I was running people away. I was condemned in my self and that was why I was condemning others. I was miserable. My brother told me “You are no better than I am!” He said it with force and that was my wake up call. I cried out to God that day and asked God to help me. I’m thankful for the transformation at the age of 18. I am not perfect, but I serve a perfect God who makes the crooked places straight through His word and the Holy Spirit.
On the opposite side, we have other believers abusing the grace of God, taking what they want out of the scriptures and not getting wisdom from God. God is a loving and merciful God, but he also lets us reap the consequences of our actions, like a parent who disciplines a child. God disciplines us because he wants the best for us. I have been humbled before because I didn’t listen to wisdom and reaped the consequences of my own actions. However, he is a God of second chances. When we run to him and repent, God restores us.
Believers can get radical with the way we love God through obedience to His word. John 15:10 10 When you obey me you are living in my love, just as I obey my Father and live in his love. John 14:15-16: 15-16 “If you love me, obey me; and I will ask the Father and he will give you another Comforter, and he will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit who leads into all truth. 1 John 2 15:-17: 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Believers can get radical with loving all people. John:15:12 Living Translation: 12 I demand that you love each other as much as I love you. 1 Corinthians 13 Living Translation:4-7:4 Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, 5 never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. 6 It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. 7 If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.
Believers can get radical with our praise to God. Psalm 103:1: Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 16:11: 11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 100:1-5: 1 Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.3 Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his.We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
Believers can get radical by walking in the spirit and putting our flesh under. Galatians 5:16 : This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Romans 8:14 : 14 The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them. Matthew 5:30: 30 If your right hand makes you sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. Corinthians 15:31:I assure you, believers, by the pride which I have in you in [your union with] Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily [I face death and die to self].
Believers can get radical with our faith and trust in God. Psalm 62:2: Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Romans 4:19-20: 19 Without becoming weak in faith he considered his own body, now as good as dead [for producing children] since he was about a hundred years old, and [he considered] the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, 21 being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised
Believers can get radical by sharing the good news of Jesus. John 3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Matthew 4:19: 19 Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people! Jeremiah 31:3: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
Church rise from your sabbatical. With God, get radical!
Prayer: God, thank you for being radical with your love by sacrificing your only Son Jesus to pay for my sins and bear all the pain and sorrow for me. I love others as you loved me. I sacrifice my will and life for your glory. I cut off everything that causes me to fall into temptation. I walk in the spirit and do not fulfill the lust of my flesh. I die daily to my flesh and I am alive to the spirit. I praise and worship you in spirit and truth and I am obedient to you. I stand firm in trusting God no matter what I face. God, lead and guide me in bringing the unsaved and backsliders to you. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. In Jesus name! Amen.

I was glad when I heard them say “Let us go into the house of the Lord”! Oh but my soul was brought to life when I saw and read the title and phrase “Church rise from your sabbatical. With God get radical!”
Being in the will of God had been my hearts greatest desire, resting place, and safe place. And to get here I had much to surrender but only after I arose from my slumber/death to self. Thank you so much for such a powerful, worthy, yet extremely encouraging messages. It is so needed in times like these. Please keep being a light, a joy, and a blessing to this world.
