A minister at my church spoke on the value of worship and praise to God. The phrase came to me as I have been meditating on the message this week. He begin calling the names of God and how he is worthy to be praised. I started shouting and praising God this whole week, not asking God for anything because He is all. I was like David in Psalm 103: “Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me.” Reflecting on the goodness of God and where He brought us from makes us worship Him even more. Not only with singing, shouting, dancing, kneeling, and bowing, but with obedience to His word. I am so glad my Heavenly dad is not like man. He is perfect and the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes his character. A true father loves, gives, protects, corrects, guides and provides.
Our Heavenly dad loves us and gave the greatest gift. John 3:16 Amplified Version: 16 “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] [a]only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Our Heavenly dad protects us. Psalm 121:8 New American Standard Bible: The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time and forever.
Our Heavenly dad corrects us. Hebrews 12:6 Contemporary English Version: The Lord corrects the people he loves and disciplines those he calls his own.”
Our Heavenly dad guides us. Isaiah 30:21 Amplified Version: Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Our Heavenly dad provides. Psalm 23:1 Living Translation: Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!
Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It is the best choice you can make in this life. God is not willing for any to die and go to hell, but that all come to repentance. Read Romans 10:9-10 for salvation. The Lord, the Good Shepherd will lead, guide. provide, correct, protect, and love you unconditionally. If you get off track, repent quickly and use the word of God in the area you need Him. The word of God will uproot anything that is not like Him.
So glad for my Heavenly dad!
Prayer: God, thank you for being my Father, the creator, the great I Am, and the shepherd of my life; I have all I need. I repent for allowing things of the world to get more attention than you. God, I allow you to do the resurrected work in me as I read your word and act by faith. Thank you for loving me unconditionally in spite of what I do. I give you the praise and glory. In Jesus name! Amen!
