You Are What You Eat. It Determines Victory Or Defeat!

In the natural, if we eat things or put things in our body that is harmful, it shows up on the outside in a negative way. Eating properly, and exercising shows positive results. However, our inner man is more important. When we deal with the inner man it will show on the outside. Are we feeding our spiritual man or are we feeding our flesh and the evil desires that comes along with it. Are we spending time in the word, worshipping God, and hearing the word of God to strengthen our faith to act? Or are we spending too much time on social media, phone, and entertainment? God gives us all things to richly enjoy as long as it is not pulling us away from the will and purpose he has for our lives. It can even be doing something good , but if it is pulling us away from fellowshipping with God, we are out of balance. We all have a purpose and vision, however, we need to make sure we make time to spend with God.

Galatians 6:8 Amplified Version: For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Romans 12:2 Amplified Version And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

Evil can rub off on us quicker than doing what is good. We have to renew the mind daily. Ask God to put a check in your spirit to discern what is acceptable. God has did it to me plenty of times. I wanted to say something that was correct but the person was not receptive to it. God put a check in my spirit to keep quiet and pray for that person eyes to come open. The person eyes were open to the truth after praying for that person.

Let John 17 be our prayer for the believers, and everyone proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ. We are in the world not of the world. What is the world? It is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

John 17:14-20 Easy Read Version: 13 “I am coming to you now. But I pray these things while I am still in the world. I say all this so that these followers can have the true happiness that I have. I want them to be completely happy. 14 I have given them your teaching. And the world has hated them, because they don’t belong to the world, just as I don’t belong to the world.15 “I am not asking you to take them out of the world. But I am asking that you keep them safe from the Evil One. 16 They don’t belong to the world, just as I don’t belong to the world. 17 Make them ready for your service through your truth. Your teaching is truth. 18 I have sent them into the world, just as you sent me into the world. 19 I am making myself completely ready to serve you. I do this for them, so that they also might be fully qualified for your service.20 “I pray not only for these followers but also for those who will believe in me because of their teaching. 21 Father, I pray that all who believe in me can be one. You are in me and I am in you. I pray that they can also be one in us. Then the world will believe that you sent me.

Let us pray for each other and encourage each other into good works. Be led by the spirit when correcting someone and do it in love considering ourselves that we don’t fall into the same temptation. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Amplified 33 Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals.” We are in the world not of it. Our lifestyle will speak more volumes than what we can ever tell a person. Loving kindness we draw people into the kingdom of God. Let us let our light shine that people can see our good works and glorify our Heavenly Father.

You are what you eat. It determines victory or defeat!

Prayer: God I thank you for making me into your image and likeness. I repent for allowing the lure of the world which is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and pride life keep me from showing others who you really are. I am transformed by renewing my mind daily to the word of God. I let God’s light shine through me so that people can see your good works and glorify you. I claim the victory in Jesus name! Amen.
