We all heard the saying “I am only one person..” In the natural, one person is not able to do everything or be everywhere. However, God can use one person to influence many people. When people see the power of God operating in us as believers through love it draws others in. As believers, we lead by example and others will follow. The greatest example is Jesus. He came down as a human, humbled himself by doing the will of His Father, and died on the cross for our sins. We now have redemption. Jesus performed miracles and walked in the power of God while on earth. God’s love for us and through his Son Jesus’ obedience, now we have authority over the devil through receiving salvation. Those who are not saved, receive Him now. Read Romans 10-9-10 for salvation.
Joshua 23:10 New King James Version: One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the LORD your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you.
Joshua, with instruction from God, led his people to victory in many battles. However, when he did not seek the Lord, he lost the battle. Proverbs 3:5-6 Amplified Version:5 Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.6 In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
God used Gideon in Judges 6. Gideon was fearful and didn’t think much about himself, but God used him to win the battle for his people. He went in the strength he had, obeyed God, and won the battle. Please read Judges Chapter 6-7. It took one person and the others followed his lead to win the battle.
David in 1 Samuel 17 defeated Goliath when the others were in fear. David went in the strength of God, spoke what he would do to Goliath, gave glory to God, and reminded himself of how God helped him with past victories. God always causes us to triumph through him. His courage and faith in God helped defeat Goliath and the Philistines.
1 Samuel 14:6 NIV: the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.
God can use one to get the job done!
Prayer: God, thank you for sending your Son to redeem us. God, I go in your strength and acknowledge you in all my ways and you direct my path. God, you can deliver by many or by few. God, you always causes me to triumph through you. In Jesus name! Amen.
