We Celebrate December 25th, Jesus Christ the Greatest Gift!

Christmas is the season of giving, but most importantly, we celebrate Jesus. Natural gifts are great, especially when you receive something that you want or something unexpected. However, natural things can not satisfy because they are temporary. People can also be temporary and can let you down because we are not perfect. God loved us so much that he gave us the greatest gift, Jesus, so we can have eternal life with Him and save us from hell. However, we must receive the gift to experience the joy of life with Him.

John 3:16-18 Message: 16-18 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

Isaiah 9:6-7 Living Translation: 6 For unto us a child is born; unto us, a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder. These will be his royal titles: “Wonderful,” “Counselor,” “The Mighty God,” “The Everlasting Father,” and “The Prince of Peace.” 7 His ever-expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule with perfect fairness and justice from the throne of his father, David. He will bring true justice and Peace to all the world’s nations. This is going to happen because the Lord of heaven’s armies has dedicated himself to do it!

Exodus 3:14 NIV: God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM sent me to you.‘” Whatever we need, God is the Great Shepherd. Paul knew who God was. While Paul was in prison, he said in Philippians 4:4-8: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Every day no matter what you are going through, begin to thank God and embrace who He is to experience true joy.
