God brought back one of the phrases I kept a month back as I spent time alone with God. The devil loves chaos, division, and confusion because where there is unity, there is strength. We have to be in line with the word of God for the power of God to manifest.
Agree with the word of God. A powerful Pentecostal Evangelist, R.W. Schambach, said in one of his sermons: “One minute we are speaking the word of God then the next minute we let our flesh get in the way of the spirit.” Remember, the flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of God, only the spirit through faith. Our soul must align with the spirit to receive from God. James 1:8 says a double-minded person is unstable in all His ways and will not receive anything from God. Speak what the word of God says to be in one accord with God.
We should be in harmony with others during different stages in their lives. Romans 12:15 says rejoice with those that rejoice and weep with those who weep. Philippians 2: 2-5 Amplified Version: 2 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, having the same love [toward one another], knit together in spirit, intent on one purpose [and living a life that reflects your faith and spreads the gospel—the good news regarding salvation through faith in Christ]. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves. 4 Do not merely look out for your interests but also the interests of others. 5 Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility]; God can flow through our churches when we have love and concern for each other.
God led me to Nehemiah Chapters 1-5. Nehemiah fasted, repented, mourned, and prayed for the people of Israel because Jerusalem was in ruins. Nehemiah found favor with the King because of God. The people stood together in unity. They faced a lot of ridicule and people trying to stop them from rebuilding the wall. But they stood firm, trusting in God, ready to fight. They rebuilt the wall in 52 days.
We need each other. 1 Corinthians 12:21 NIV: The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” Our body, every part, functions together. Deuteronomy 32:30 says with the help of God, one can chase 1000 away two can chase 10,000. Strength is in numbers, where two touch and agree it is done, rather good or bad. If it is not in line with God’s word, do not agree with it. Amos 3:3 says how can two walk together except they agree. Every aspect of life, including our relationship with God, He will not work if it is against His nature, character, and His will for our lives.
Hold fast to what God says because the wrong confession glorifies the devil; confessing the word of God glorifies God. Keep meditating, hearing, and confessing the word of God, so your soul aligns with your spirit for results. Do everything out of love, and we can live in unity because God is love; where love rules, the power of God operates. We need each other, and when we unite in faith, more can be done in less time.
Be on one accord in the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for your love that you sent your Son Jesus for my redemption. I repent for not walking in love and unity with others. I speak your word only, not the circumstance, so I can receive and be in harmony with God. I get with other believers to pull in heavy loads I can’t carry alone. Thank you for placing people in my life for your purpose and glory. I give you the praise and honor. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
