Don’t Be Like The Majority. Take Your Authority!

We have heard the phrase used for the military: “The few. The proud” As believers, we are soldiers in the army of God. Genesis 1:28 Amplified Version says: 28 And God blessed them [granting them specific authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate). We don’t have to put up with evil and darkness when we have the Holy Spirit and the light of God’s word.

1 Peter 2:9 King James Version: 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Peculiar means distinctive, different from the rest. We don’t have to accept anything that is not God’s character and nature, letting it rule over us. We rule as believers by submitting to God’s word, resisting the devil, and then the devil flees from us (James 4:7). I heard an anointed preacher who said everyone is always saying, “The devil is busy.” The preacher said, “Yes, the devil is busy because we are busy running our mouths speaking the wrong thing.” “Why don’t you say the devil is under our feet and speak the word of God over the situation?”

As royalty, I decree a thing according to the word of God, and it is established (Job 22:28). We are made in the image and likeness of God, who spoke the world in existence and said “Let there be light” in darkness. We as believers can do the same and say let there be healing, restoration, love, protection, peace, provision, deliverance, wisdom, and light in our darkest situation. No matter how it looks, take your authority. Stop letting conditions dominate you and cause you to live in fear. Get mature people of God to intercede for you when you are weak and need someone to talk to. There is strength in numbers. We need each other.

Romans 15:1-2 Message Version: 15 1-2 Those who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”

Don’t be like the majority. Take your authority!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving me authority over the earth. I repent for failing as a ruler over the earth and my life. I take my stand by submitting to God, resisting the devil, and the devil flees from me. I am peculiar and set apart from the rest because I serve a true and living God. Thank you, God, for giving me the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me into all truth. Thank you for the people you have placed in my life to strengthen me because we need each other. I take my stand against darkness and rule in God In Jesus’ name! Amen!
