Write The Date, It Gives Strength During The Wait!

Last Sunday, I listened to teaching, and this phrase came to me.

Deuteronomy 6-9: 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

When you have something written down in front of you, it is fresh on your mind. It gets inside you. Mark 11:24 says, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” As I was listening to the teaching Sunday, the speaker said he would write the date that he prayed, and when doubt or discouragement came, he would say this is the date I received what I prayed for. He marked it on the calendar. It strengthened him while he was waiting, and the manifestation came.

Hebrews 6:17-19: 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.

Glory to God!. God’s word is sure, firm, & unchangeable. It is the truth and security. God’s word is an anchor. Pray for the word of God.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 Message Version: And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait; it’s on its way. It will come right on time.

Write the prayer, vision, and date you prayed. Claim that this is the date that you received it. As the Stevie Wonder song says: signed, sealed, delivered, and it’s yours!

Write the date. It gives strength during the wait!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your covenant and for never changing your character. I write down the vision and date I prayed because that is when I received it when I prayed. When I get discouraged, or it seems like nothing is happening, I remind myself that I received what I asked for when I prayed. Lord, when I pray your word back to you, I am putting you back in remembrance of your word. You can not lie. All of your promises are “yes” and “amen” to the glory of God. I have your covenant as an anchor for my soul. It is signed, sealed, and delivered, and it is mine! In Jesus’ name! Amen.
