Apply Pressure and Challenges Become Lesser!

I watched a movie called “Golden Mind” during Memorial Day weekend, and the phrase came to me for the blog. The challenges the boy faced in the movie motivated him more, and he went from being poor to being wealthy. 2 Peter 3:9 says that “God is not slack concerning His promises like we are.” Hebrews 11:6 says, “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Proverbs 4:23 says to keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.” New Living Translation: Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

I noticed in the movie that the boy kept speaking about what he wanted no matter how the situation looked. He cries, suffers embarrassment, and faces some other challenges in the movie. However, he remained steadfast in walking in love, integrity, trusting God, working hard, and being a great steward of what he had.

Hebrews 10:23 King James Version:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

1 Corinthians 15 Amplified Version: 58 Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].

Our Father in the faith, Abraham, is a great example. We are the seed of Abraham through our faith in Jesus.

Romans 4:17-25NIV Version: 17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our Father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet, he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had the power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” 23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

How long will we be slack concerning the purpose God has us here on earth? A cut on a person or a wound continues to bleed out until pressure is applied. We will still stay in the same miserable state until we apply the pressure of God’s word with action.

Apply pressure, and challenges become lesser!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for sending your Son Jesus to go through the pain of the cross so I can have eternal life with God. I repent for being lazy concerning the promises of God and His purpose. He has me here on earth. I guard my heart daily, for it determines the course of my life. I speak life and call things that be not as though they already are. I do not waiver in my faith, no matter what the challenges are. I give glory to God and grow stronger in my faith. I continue in the world, then I will know the truth, and the truth sets me free from every challenge I face. I am a wise steward over what I have, and more will be given. I remain in love, integrity, and work to bring glory to God. It is done in Jesus’ name! Amen!
