Dire: A situation or event that is extremely serious or urgent.
As I was praising God, the phrase came to me for the blog. We are truly living in the last days. Things in the world are becoming worse by the day. However, for the people who have a relationship with God, who accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, life is brighter with the manifested glory flowing through them.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 CEB Version: Understand that the last days will be dangerous times. 2 People will be selfish and love money. They will be the kind of people who brag and who are proud. They will slander others, and they will be disobedient to their parents. They will be ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, contrary, and critical. They will be without self-control and brutal, and they won’t love what is good. 4 They will be people who are disloyal, reckless, and conceited. They will love pleasure instead of loving God. 5 They will look like they are religious but deny God’s power. Avoid people like this.
Remember during urgent times, we must fix our gaze on Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. Let God arise and the enemies be scattered (Psalm 68;1) through our praise, love, and the manifested glory of God in our lives as believers. Isaiah 59:19 NIV Version: 19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
Let us as believers live boldly for Jesus Christ. God has given us the spirit, love, power and a sound mind (the mind of Christ). Isaiah 60:1-2 NIV Version: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

The situation is dire. Lift Jesus Higher!
Prayer: Lord, your name is higher than any situation or problem I face. You are the Great I Am; the most High God! As the world gets darker, I look up for my redemption draws near. I let God arise and the enemies of sin, hate, debt, sickness, depression, and fear are scattered through my praise and obedience to God. I repent of every sin known and unknown in my life. I lay aside every weight of sin and challenges in my life that keeps me from God. I run the race looking to Jesus the author and finisher of my faith. In Jesus name! Amen.
