Agree To Disagree And Live In Harmony.

The phrase for the blog came to me at a meeting at work on diversity. One of the instructors mentioned how she still loved the people in her neighborhood despite having different beliefs but still shared some things in common. She stayed firm in her faith and agreed to disagree. As believers in Jesus, we can share Jesus with people, but it doesn’t mean that everyone will accept it. We should live a life of love and let people see the power of God operating through us. God doesn’t force us to do what we don’t want. He gives us a choice. Some people wonder why evil happens on earth. It is because the person chose to sin, and others suffered because of it. God is not a person who should lie(Numbers 23:19). He can’t give us a choice and control what others do. It contradicts his word. We, as believers in Jesus, should do the same.

Romans 12:18 NIV If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

1 Timothy 2:1-3 Easy Read Version: First, I ask that you pray for all people. Ask God to bless them and give them what they need. And give thanks. 2 You should pray for rulers and all who have authority. Pray for these leaders so we can live quiet and peaceful lives—lives full of devotion to God and respect for him. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior.

We meet people from all walks of life that are raised differently and view things differently. The greatest commandment is to love. We can share Jesus with people. If they reject it, pray for them and live the life before them. I am a concert person. Music unites people no matter what background we have. How different songs got someone through challenges or a happy occasion is incredible. You see other races and a diverse variety of styles at a concert. To see the love for the artist’s music and everyone together is all love. It is like living in harmony. We were made to love. Just because someone doesn’t support you because of their belief doesn’t mean they don’t love you. I love the story my sister tells me about a coworker who didn’t believe in God, but they shared the same interest in music. My sister would say to anyone, “That is your thing, not mine.” Her coworker now believes in Jesus. She didn’t have to say much to her about her faith. She was there for her when she was going through a tough time, and I loved her. God didn’t send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him may be saved (John 3:17). It is a true sign that we are God.

Agree to disagree and live in harmony!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for putting a new song in my heart. God, you have set before me life and death, blessing and cursing. I choose life. I repent for not walking in love, allowing political and religious beliefs to view people wrongly, and getting into arguments and debates. I pray for all people so I can live a quiet and peaceable life. The greatest commandment is love. I live the life of God’s love. God, you are not willing that any should perish, but all come to repentance. God, continue to work on my heart. I was hoping you could help me see people the way you see them and view things through my spiritual eyes, not the natural ones. I thank you for the victory in Jesus’ name. Amen!
