eyes of God. However, when they disobeyed God, the glory left, and they saw that they were naked. Sin then entered the earth. Thank God He loved us enough that He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins, and now we are made righteous through faith. We are no longer under the Law. The next verse in Romans 3:24 (paraphrasing)said we are justified by grace through the redemption in Jesus Christ when He took our sins and everything on the cross and died for us.
When we repent of our sins and start meditating, listening, reading, and speaking the word of God, Romans 8:1 says there is now no condemnation when we get back in Christ! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! If you want the manifested glory in your life, it begins with the word of God. The word was God and is God (John 1:1). We, as believers, have the glory available to us. All we have to do is stay and cling to the word of God until the glory comes in every area of our lives.
God will keep you from the pull of sin and fleshly desires. The key is to focus on the righteousness of God and not your character, which is as filthy rags. Many of us focus so much on what not to do instead of the grace of God and who we are in Christ. That is operating under a curse. 2 Corinthians 3:6 He has qualified us [making us sufficient] as ministers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not of the letter [of a written code] but the Spirit; for the letter [of the Law] kills [by revealing sin and demanding obedience], but the Spirit gives life.
God’s word is Spirit and life. We can bring heaven to earth by focusing on who we are in Christ. A hymn titled “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” has a verse that says: Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. Glory to God! The glory comes when we fix our eyes on God’s word until the situation we presently see will grow dim because we are shining the light of God’s word on it. That is indeed the glory of God!
The Law lets us know what is right and what is wrong. We are now under a new law of grace because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Grace gives us the power to live right. God doesn’t provide us with grace so that we can sin. God doesn’t want us to die in our sins and miss eternity with Him. He is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance 2 Peter 3:8. Feed your Spirit daily and kill the works of the flesh to operate in the power and glory of God. The more we feed our Spirit, man, the more the pull of sin will not influence us.
Instead of focusing on what you can’t do, focus on this: I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me Philippians 4:13. When you fall short, repent and get back in the glory and ask God to help you. The enemy wants us to dwell on our failures operating under the Law of sin and death to keep us in our sin. It will leave you hopeless and feeling guilty. A righteous man falls seven times and gets back up again Proverbs 24:16. Get up, repent, and then start walking in righteousness! Stay with God until things around you grow dim; all you can see is God, and then you can see the glory manifested.
As I mature in Christ, if I see a fellow believer in sin or doing things that are not in line with the word of God before I go to that person, I ask God if I should confront that person. Sometimes He will tell me you don’t say anything, and when the timing is right, He prompts me what to say to them. God will reveal to me the heart of the issue. Man looks on outward, but God looks at the heart. I consider myself because any of us can fall into temptation. Live the life before people, and they will be drawn to the glory of God in you. Our lives are a testimony within themselves. God didn’t send His son into the world to condemn them but that the world through Him may be saved John 3:17. We as believers should be like Jesus. We want to take as many people into the kingdom, not run them away. There are times when we should speak up and confront things; even Jesus rebuked certain spirits in people. Sometimes I chastise myself when God reveals to me evil that is operating within me. Let us as believers are quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to get angry James 1:19.
Those who are not saved give your life to Christ and repent of your sins to see the glory of God. Romans 10:9-10 says 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Just this week, after studying the grace of God, the enemy tempted me while I was sleeping with thoughts of lust. The devil comes immediately for the word. I cast down the idea immediately and declared my body belonged to God. I claimed I fled youthful lusts. Marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled. I submitted to the word of God, resisted the devil, and had to run.
Jude verses 24-25: 24 Now unto him that can keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
I know God to be a keeper. We can’t do it without bringing the glory of God’s word in our situations. Only He can keep us from falling.
Believers people are waiting to see the manifested glory in our lives. So let’s walk it out where people can see, and we can tell people about the goodness of God.
God’s Manifested Glory Tells The Story!
Prayer: Lord, I thank you for your word. It is living and has the power to bring glory. I repent for not seeing things through your eyes. I fix my eyes upon you, God, and my current challenges grow dim as I shine the light of your word on it. I thank you for the Law because, without it, I wouldn’t know what is right and wrong. Lord, I thank you for the new covenant through Jesus sacrificing His life on the cross for my sins. Now I have the grace to live right. I repent of any sins in my life, and now that I am back in Christ, I don’t have to live under condemnation. I thank you for your manifested glory in my life. Now unto him, that can keep me from falling, and to present me faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen
