Put Your Foot Down, on your God Given Ground

God gave my dad the phrase for the blog from Joshua 1:3 that says I have given you every place on which the sole of your foot treads. God has already given us everything in His will, which is the word of God. Particular written will have conditions to receive things. It is the same with the kingdom of God.

A lot of us have goals and dreams that we desire to achieve. However, to receive it, according to Joshua 1, the first thing it says is to be strong and courageous. We get our strength by trusting and believing in the word of God,

The second thing it says do not let the word of God depart from your mouth and to meditate on it day and night so you can know what to do. Only then will you prosper and succeed. This is how we stay strong; without it, we will lose hope and fold under pressure. We will become anxious, and we will panic. The enemy comes immediately when you get a word from God.

The enemy did a number on my mind while I was sleeping. I had to cast those thoughts down. God reminded me to rest in Him. The word of God says to be anxious for nothing that we should pray, giving God thanks, and then the peace comes (Philippians 4:6-7). I am learning to enjoy the journey and live in the now. The phrase came back to me from my previous blog ‘Enjoy where you are, and you will go far.”

Proverbs 23:7 as a man thinks that is what that person becomes. Meditating the word day and night helps it take root in the heart, and then we speak it. Because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks Luke 6:45. That is why we have to take every thought captive.

Finally, in Joshua 1, it says do not turn to the right or left, but obey everything according to the word of God. Isaiah 1:19 says: If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.

Let us as believers make a lifestyle out of living the life of faith. We do this by meditating on the word of God daily. It will take root in our hearts. We began to call things into existence by speaking the word of God no matter how it looks. Manifestation comes through obeying God’s word and resting in God’s finished work.

Put your foot down, on your God-given ground!

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for the things you have already given me in your word. I repent for being anxious, not obeying your word, not meditating on the word of God day and night, and not speaking it. God, help me to enjoy the journey and rest in your finished work because it is already done. Put a check on my spirit when I am getting off course. I thank you for the victory in Jesus’ name!
