The Word is Near, Be of Good Cheer!

Romans 10 came to me as I cried out to God for people going through challenging times. Romans 10:6-8 Living Translation: 6 But the salvation that comes through faith says, “You don’t need to search the heavens to find Christ and bring him down to help you,” and, 7 “You don’t need to go among the dead to bring Christ back to life again.” 8 For salvation that comes from trusting Christ—which is what we preach—is already within easy reach of each of us; in fact, it is as near as our hearts and mouths.

When Jesus died on the cross, He said, “It is finished!” We don’t have to ask God to send healing, revival, Comfort, or rain down power. Romans 6:10 says the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. It is just like salvation; all we have to do is confess the word of God with our mouths, believe in our hearts, and receive what God has already done.

Healing is here, so receive the word that says by His stripes you were and are healed ( 1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:5). Deliverance is here; receive that we are redeemed from the curse, and the seed of the righteous is delivered (Galatians 3:13, Proverbs 11:21). The blessing is here which makes us as believers rich and there is no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22). Comfort is here because Jesus took our grief and carried our sorrows. Give it to God and receive Comfort. Wisdom is here. All we have to do is ask God for it, and he will give it to us without condemnation (James 1:5-6). Revival is here because God is our shepherd; he restores our souls. (Psalm 23). Provision is here because we are the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29). Joy is here. As we get in the presence of God through praise and worship, it will bring everlasting joy and everlasting pleasures (Psalm 16:11).

The miracle is in your mouth! Speak it, believe it, and receive it now! My aunt Mary taught this recently: just like Goliath taunted and spoke fear day and night, we can speak our confessions day and night. Don’t let the word of God depart out of your mouth; meditate day and night (Joshua 1).

The woris near. Be of good cheer!

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for your finished work. I receive all that you have done for me. I thank you for your spirit that lives in me that gives me the power to do your will, which is the word of God. I walk by faith, not by feelings. I speak your word, which takes root in my heart and causes me to believe it; I receive it by acting like it is already done, and it becomes a reality. I claim it done in Jesus’ name!
