To Succeed With Longevity, Walk In Integrity

\

We all have seen how they can quickly rise to the top and easily fall to the bottom in regular and famous people’s lives. The difference with famous people is that it’s seen in public, whereas with regular people only a small percentage knows. The key is maintaining a life of honor.

Integrity: 1. the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. 2. the state of being whole and undivided.

What does the word of God say about not being divided, being honest, and walking upright?

James 1:8: A double-minded man is unstable in all His ways.

Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.

The core value of Jesus was consistently living a life of love and reaching the lost. You cannot be one way today and then another day something different. Either you are, or you are not. Either you believe, or you do not. Either you are saved, or you are lost. There is no in-between. What you are when the pressure comes will show your true nature. My Aunt Mary says, “your gift makes room for you and brings you among the great, but your integrity will keep you there.”

Matthew 12:33b NIV33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. 35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

People pray for the favor of God, but favor is tied to integrity and living a life pleasing to God. We have favor with God first and then people.

Pastor Gaines would say, if you mess up, fess up! People will respect you more when you are honest, even if they do not like you. My Aunt Mary uses my grandmother’s saying: “You can always respect an honest crook.”

We know if we repent by confessing our sins to God and starting on the path of righteousness, God cleanses us.

To Succeed with Longevity, Walk in integrity!

Prayer: God, I thank you for your word that transforms me daily. God, I repent for not walking in integrity at times in my life. I speak crop failure to negative seeds I have sown. God, continue to create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit within me. I cannot do this by myself, but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Lord, let your light shine through me. God, when I mess up, I acknowledge it and repent without living in guilt or condemnation. I thank you for your mercy endures forever. In Jesus’ name! Amen.

  1. Glory to God!!! Glory to God for such a righteous reminder of the word of God concerning integrity! Having and living in integrity means everything to me and I want nothing to do with a life void of integrity because it doesn’t represent the character of God nor his precepts.

I love how you said everyone wants the favor of the Lord God but it is connected to integrals living a life that is pleasing to the Lord. My desire is to have and walk in integrity all the days of my life.

May our gifts make room for us and our integrity keep us there like Joseph!

  2. Amen! Walking in integrity!
