Do Your Best. Trust God For The Rest.

God used my Aunt Mary for the title of the blog. It is a phrase my Uncle Dave uses a lot. Last Thursday, Uncle Dave taught us as believers to do our best to serve God. He pointed out how easy it is to do our best in what interests us. Unfortunately, many of us, as believers in the kingdom of God, have not given our best. It made me examine myself. I mentioned in the blog last week how favor operates through integrity. Doing our best in whatever God puts into our hands and trusting God through the process activates the favor of God.

Many of you may be asking, “How can I do my best in service to God?” God left us an example, Jesus, to follow in His footsteps.

In Luke 19, Jesus went to Zacchaeus, a wealthy man, to speak with him. People talked among themselves: “He has gone to be a guest with a sinner.” However, Zacchaeus said, “I give half of my possessions to the poor, and anything else I have cheated people out of, I will pay back four times as much.” So Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to you and your household because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

John 3:17 says God sent His Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him may be saved. Our lifestyle will speak more volumes than what we say. There are plenty of opportunities starting with our family. 1 Timothy 5:4 says, Charity begins at home and then spreads abroad. It is easy to be kind to others we do not know. However, it can be a challenge for those we see every day.

My Aunt Mary would say to reach those who are lost, do as Jesus did, and go around doing good for them. Doing good could be prayer. Encouragement, your testimony, giving of our time, giving of money, knowledge, or giving of your things. Acts 10:38 says Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were sick and oppressed with the devil because God was with them.

God is with us as believers. Therefore, let us use what we have and go about doing good as Jesus did; however, let us do it unto God, not for our glory. Colossians 3:17: And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Do your best. Trust God for the rest!

Prayer: Lord, I thank you that you are no respect of persons. I repent for mistreating and judging people. God, you loved us so much you gave your only Son to save us from hell. I choose today to go about doing good no matter where I am as an opportunity to share the love of Jesus. Lord, I draw people to you just as you have done for me through love and kindness. Let my life be an example of your pet. I thank you now in Jesus’ name!

I am always so blessed and thankful for my friendship and sisterhood with you because I’ve learned a lot through you when it comes to giving and planting.

Glory to God for His spirit and hands being on us as we continue to give our best and trust God for the rest! The kingdom and blessings of God is ours to have πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸ½
