Certain events in life can be unpleasant, hurtful, and unfair. The only way to get through it is by living a life of gratitude.
What does the word of God say about living a life of gratitude?
Romans 12:12 KJV: 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
Philippians 4:4-6 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say, rejoice.5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.6 Be careful about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 Easy Read Version 14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in victory through Christ. God uses us to spread his knowledge everywhere, like a sweet-smelling perfume.
No matter what we go through in life, we can be thankful because Jesus overcame it and came out victorious. He uses the people of God as an example to others to give them hope. That is enough to remain grateful because Jesus went through every pain and sorrow for us. All we must do is go to God about everything, and he will show us the way to victory.
For example, you say, God I am going through __________ but I thank God that ___________. Then you begin speaking the word of God over the situation.
Thanksgiving is a life worth living!
Prayer: Lord, I thank you that no matter what I go through, I have victory through Jesus. I repent for being ungrateful when things in life happen to me that do not seem fair. I know that I can give thanks because I have hope through you. God, you sent your Son Jesus to die for me. He took everything for me on the cross, which led Him to victory, which is enough to be grateful for. I choose to be thankful no matter what state I am in. Just you are breathing life into me, and eternity with you is enough to be grateful for. Life is not perfect, but you are perfect. I give you the praise in Jesus’ name, Amen.
