In Order to Reap, God’s Word You Must Keep.

Good Ground

A lot of us have planted seeds for things we want to happen. First, however, we must tend to what we sow for it to manifest.

Matthew 8:15 Message Version 15 “But the seed in the good earth—these are the good-hearts who seize the Word and hold on no matter what, sticking with it until there’s a harvest.

If we continue in the Word, we will know the truth, and the truth sets of free (John 8:31-32)

Seeds will die in the natural with weeds around them. Doubt, negative speaking, and thinking are weeds that will kill our source of faith.

We will reap the harvest if we do not grow tired of doing good (Galatians 6:9.) The only thing that can keep us is holding on to the Word of God. God’s Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). I know from personal experience when you hold onto the Word of God, the Word will bring you to victory.

God gave me Isaiah 43:2-3 when I was going through a financial situation. My income was the only one coming in since my sister lost her job right after we closed on our home. On top of that, the car broke down. I cried out to God, and He answered me. I held on to that verse, and I did not drown or burn in my situation. God was with me. God was doing a new thing. I kept giving an offering on top of my tithes. God gave me a word, and He saw me through it. People would give me money without me asking for it. My dad said, “God laid on my heart to buy you groceries.” He came right on time when I was in need. My sister believed in a job near the house, the pay grade she wanted, and she got what she believed for. On top of that, God blessed us with transportation.

Hebrews 10:23 New Living Translation23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

If we do not hold on to the Word of God like in James 1:24, it is like looking in the mirror and walking away: You will forget what you look like. So do not turn away from the Word of God when things get tough. Hold on to it!

To reap God’s Word, you must keep it!

Prayer: Lord, we praise you for your Word. Your Word is living, life, and it lights our path during unknown and dark circumstances. We are the good ground that holds onto the Word of God and receives the promises. We repent for allowing weeds of doubt, unbelief, negative speaking, and thinking to come in and kill our seed of faith. We endure until the end and receive every promise God has for us. We speak crop failure to negative thoughts and words we have spoken. We give you thanks in Jesus’ name!

  1. Praise God for this beautiful word of inspiration! I’ve been there a time or two where I was trusting in good for something but did not meditate on Him or His word day and night. I would have such expectations forgetting that He too has expectations of me. I am blessed to say that now I walk in Him, Meditate with Him and on His word both day and night and I see how my seeds of faith and obedience is producing growth in me as I prepare for the harvest He has for us that believe and are faithful! Great word Sharon! God is so proud of you and your heart and I am too 😘🙏🏽

    1. Glory To God! I can definitely see the fruits of your obedience! May God’s desire, takes you higher!
