Don’t Do It By Yourself, God Is Your Help!

The phrase for the blog came when I read a post on Facebook. When Jesus ascended into heaven to be with His Heavenly Father, God left us with the Holy Spirit inside of us to help lead and guide us.

John 14:16 Easy Read Version I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever. 17 The Helper is the Spirit of truth.

John 16:1313 But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and tell you what will happen in the future.

Accepting salvation is a great thing. We fellowship with God, are in His family, and live eternally with Him. God does speak through other people. He also speaks through His word when you spend time with Him and are silent. God also gave us the icing on the cake, the Holy Spirit. Being filled with the Spirit is a bonus to living a victorious life in God.

As I was reading John 16, it came to me that when being filled with the Spirit and speaking in your heavenly language, you can only say what your Father tells you to speak, and it is not your own words. Glory to God! Praying naturally in your own words is good, but when praying in your heavenly language, you do not have to guess if you are praying the right thing. The Spirit takes over, and God gives you the understanding of what you prayed for. Also, it is a language that the devil cannot understand. He cannot interrupt your plan if He does not know what you are saying.

Acts 2:4 New Living says: And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Acts 1:8 New Living says, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

We as believers can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit as we do the gift of salvation. You can confess with your mouth that you receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in your heavenly language as the Spirit gives you what to say. You believe with your heart and make a sound as a step of faith with your mouth. Then, the Holy Spirit takes over and gives you what to say.

As believers, we should want every gift God has for us. Being filled with the Spirit of God helps take your hearing the voice of God to another level.

In the R. W. Schwalbach message “Help Is on The Way,” he had a situation for which he did not know how to pray. So he used his helper, the Holy Spirit, and began praying in his heavenly language. He said a boldness came across Him. He said he could not believe what came out of his mouth. It happened just as God told him, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Support came for the person he prayed for.

Help is on the way for us as believers. If you are filled with the Spirit, begin using it to help you to hear what God is saying. If you have not received the gift of the Holy Spirit, receive it now. It will take you to another level in God.

Do not do it by yourself; God is your help!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving me the gift of the Holy Spirit. I activate my heavenly language by making a sound with my mouth, believing in my heart for the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit takes over, causing me to speak in my Heavenly language. Thank you, God, for unleashing the supernatural and answering prayers as I use the gift of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name! Amen!
