Quarantine Clean!

clean

We all know about the Covid-19 pandemic that is going on in the US and around the world. I felt accomplished as I cleaned up the house and did chores. I heard a still small voice telling me you are cleaning surfaces, cleaning your body, and eating clean/healthy, but what is most needed is a spiritual cleaning. We focus so much on the natural that we forget about the spiritual. We have to put the ‘super” on the “natural.” It is okay to follow nature and use wisdom/common sense, but we also need to do a spiritual cleansing.

Quarantine: 1. to detain in or exclude 2. to isolate from normal relations or communication.

Clean: 1. to rid of dirt and impurities 2. to rid of corruption 3. Remove, eradicate. 4. strip, empty

We must isolate ourselves from normal relations and exclude anything in our lives that is dirty or corrupted by meditating, listening, speaking the word of God, and spending time with God.

One way to take a spiritual bath is through the word of God. Ephesian 5;26 says 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.

Repentance is also needed to stay spiritually clean. 1 John 1:9 says that if we confess our sins, he is faithful, forgives us, and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

We must self-examine and ask God to clean up everything that is not like God as believers.

Wednesday, April 8th, is the start of Passover. In Exodus 12, the people of Israel had to sacrifice unblemished lambs and used the blood to put over their doorposts so the plague would Passover them. We are under a new covenant. God sacrificed His son Jesus for us. He was the lamb who was slain. All we must do now is have faith and trust in His Blood.

I challenge us, believers, to take Wednesday, April 8th, and dedicate that day to prayer, fasting, and repentance. I am fasting from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day. I thank God for Jesus’ Blood and that the plague will pass over us. I thank God that those who are not saved will give their lives to Christ. I thank God we are examples of His love, mercy, and grace as believers. Finally, I am thanking God that those who have to backslide will return to Christ.

Whether you believe there is a heaven or hell, you would not want to gamble with your eternity. Matthew 25:13 says “Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

If God were to return right now, would you be ready? 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God loves us, wants the best for us, and wants a relationship with us. I view God’s word not as a list of dos and don’ts but as Him wanting the best for us. God gives us a choice like a parent would. If you do this, there is a consequence, but you will have the best if you do. I want the best God has for me.

Let us, as people of God, take time out to get alone with God and clean ourselves through the word of God and repentance.

Quarantine clean!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the blood of Jesus that cleanses me from all sin. I repent for any sins I have committed, known and unknown. God, I sanctify myself spiritually with the word of God, prayer, and fasting. Lord, I thank those that are not saved for laborers in the kingdom of God to lead them to Jesus. Those that are in a backslidden condition return to you. We plead the blood of Jesus over any plagues, diseases, deaths, and attacks the devil brings our way. When the enemy sees the blood, He passes over us. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
