Webster’s meaning of reverse:
- Something that is opposite of something else. 2. Opposite or contrary to previous normal condition. 3. acting, operating or arranged in a manner contrary to the usual. To cause an opposite point of view. 4. To undo or negate the effect of (something such as condition 5. To turn or move in the opposite direction.
If we want the opposite of what we are receiving we must do the opposite of what we normally do, with how we speak, what we think/meditate on and our actions.
Struggling in a specific area? according to Joel 3:10 it says let the weak say I am strong.
Rather we sense anything or feel anything, we speak the word of God. Proverbs 18:21 says 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Hebrews 4:12 Amplified Version 12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
According to John 6;63 our words are spirit and life.
Words are not just words; it breathes life into your situation. In the Jewish household it is tradition for the parents to speak blessing over their children every Friday; one for the son, one for the daughter, and one for all the children and family members in the household following biblical tradition. Jewish families are blessed because of it. The word of God cuts through any curse. It should be a daily thing for believers to speak the word of God so it can cut through the root of your situation.
Even God in Genesis 1 spoke things into existence. When it was dark, and the earth was void God said let there be light. God spoke and created the sky, day, night, and water. We can create things with our words because we are spiritual beings created in His image and likeness.
Obedience to God brings the blessing. Disobedience brings the curse. Deuteronomy 28:1 says all these blessings will come on you and overtake you if you listen to the voice of God.
The opposite is Deuteronomy 28:13 if you don’t listen to the voice of God all the curses will come on you and overtake you.
Read the whole chapter of Deuteronomy 28 to read about the blessing and curses.
God speaks through His word. As believers we have the Holy Spirit to guide us. John 10:27 says My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
God normally speaks when everything is quiet. In the morning is normally when things are quiet, and you can hear from God. Proverbs 8:17 says I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
When you are in the family of God you are no longer under the curse. All we must do is believe, receive, speak it, obey, and then we have it.
Galatians 3:13 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hanged on a tree.
Reverse, The Curse!
Prayer: God, I thank you that I am redeemed from the curse through your Son Jesus sacrifice. I speak life into my situation by speaking the word of God. The word of God cuts through anything that is not in line with the nature of God. The curse is already reversed. I receive what Jesus has already done. In Jesus name! Amen.
