On God Cast All Your Care And Stay Spiritually Aware

prayer

prayer

People are either living in fear or nonchalant when it comes to a crisis. It is amazing what comes out when people are put under pressure, rather good or bad. There should be a balance. What is the balance to crisis or catastrophe?  The balance is trusting in God, doing what you know to do in the natural, and staying spiritually aware as people of God.

First, trust God. Scripture reference:  Psalm 55:22 NIV Version: Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

When your trust is in God, He will sustain you. Which means, by Webster’s meaning, to support, give relief, supply, keep, and to bear up under any situation you are facing. It will not move you.

Second thing is doing the natural. To understand the spiritual, you must understand the natural.  Scripture reference is Matthew 18:15: 8 New king James Version:18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you lose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

There is a saying that says nothing leaves heaven except something leaves earth. Yes, we know as people of God that with the stripes of Jesus we are healed, however, we have to put the scripture before our eyes. That is doing something in the natural such as speaking and hearing the word of God, because the word is like medicine. Meditating the word of God day and night. Eating things in balance, taking our vitamins, exercising, drinking water, praying over our food are ways to loose things on earth, so that heaven can work on our behalf. You cannot do one without the other.

Lastly, we must be spiritually aware. This comes with listening/ spending time with God and reading the word of God.

Know your enemy. God allows things because He gives us free will. The enemy is the devil.

John 10:10 New King James Version: 10 The thief (the devil) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Stay on guard and alert in the spirit.

I Peter 5:8-11:  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Matthew 26:41:  41 Watch and pray, lest you enter temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Galatians 5:16-18: 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

2 Corinthians 2: 10-11 Amplified Version: 10 If you forgive anyone anything, I too forgive that one; and what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sakes in the presence [and with the approval] of Christ (the Messiah),11 To keep Satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles and intentions.

Hosea: 4:6   Amplified Version My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

Let us do what we know to do in the natural, trust God, cast your cares on Him. He will keep you. Be spiritually aware by asking God for wisdom on things you do not understand. Walk in love because devil loves for us to have unforgiveness in our hearts, hating each other and other races, worrying, panicking, and living in fear.

We can do everything in the natural, but if we leave God out it is pointless. My dad gave me a story of a man where the doctor gave him a good bill of health. The man ate healthy and exercise. However, he died the next day. I wondered if he only did the natural but left God out.

Psalm 127: 1-2: Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves.

If you leave God out in all that you do, it is in vain. Get to know God. If you are not saved, God is waiting for you with open arms. He is not willing that any should perish but that all comes to repentance. Your eternity is important. Read Romans 10:9-10 on salvation.

My childhood pastor always would ask this question: If you died tonight would heaven be your home? Are you sure of your eternity? You do not want to gamble with your eternity whether you believe heaven and hell is real or not. What he said has stuck with me. My eternity is more important than temporary happiness.

On God, cast all your care and stay spiritually aware!

Prayer: Lord thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit. I stay spiritually aware by casting all my cares on you and you will keep me. I am aware of devil who is as a roaring lion seeking whom He may devour. I remain in love because faith works by love. I stay consistent in the word of God and spending time alone with God in order to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. In Jesus name! Amen.
