During the holiday season, things can be stressful. People can feel depressed from losing a loved one, working extra hours to support family, having health issues, challenges in relationships/family, business challenges, and financial issues. So, on purpose, make someone smile.
Proverbs 17:22 says a joyful heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
The greatest commandment is to love. Let us make God smile first by loving each other. Use the gift. It would help if you made someone smile. It could be a material gift, a word of encouragement, prayer, a phone call, spending time with someone and cooking someone’s favorite food, or a gift of humor. Whatever it is, use your gift to brighten someone’s day.
Proverbs 11:25 King James Bible
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watered shall also be watered.
When you are going through it, and you use your gift to brighten someone’s day, you will reap the benefits; it is multiplied. For example, a job in the Bible, praying for his friends while he was going through a challenging time, and got deliverance.
Go the Extra Mile, To Make Someone Smile.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being the true and living God. God, I uplift, encourage, and pray for others. God, I know what I put out, I will receive. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
