Are you tired of being in the situation you are in? Have you been in the situation so long that it does not seem like you can get out? Have you been pushing certain things back for later because of your situation?
It is time to move.
Friday morning, I heard a voice say, “How long are you slack to receive your inheritance?” which is found in Joshua 18. There were 7 Israelite tribes who had not received their inheritance. So the question was asked, “How long are you slack to take possession of the land?”
It dawned on me that there are 7 of us in our immediate family. He also gave me the scriptures to meditate on, and I jumped right into them. I said to myself, “God, I am not going to be slack anymore. He gave me the instructions, and I obeyed. I am expecting suddenly; at any moment, my situation to be turned around! When God speaks, you must move. Delayed obedience is disobedience.
Proverbs 27:1 – Don’t boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
According to Joshua 1, meditating on God’s word day and night is diligent. Every morning and every night before going to bed, read the word of God. Consistency is the key to receiving the promises of God.
Obeying God immediately puts you in a position to receive from God.
Deuteronomy 28 28 “Now it shall be, if you diligently listen to and obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all of His commandments which I am commanding you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you pay attention to the voice of the Lord your God.
Hallelujah! If you immediately obey God, the blessings will come and overtake you. First, you receive revelation by meditating on the word of God day and night. Then God speaks, and when God speaks, you obey immediately.
My dad taught me this, and I have grabbed ahold of it; play the word while you are sleeping. I download the app on my phone Tecarta, put in the scripture or chapter I want to meditate on, highlight the verses, and play it on repeat on my earbuds while I am asleep. It is going into my spirit while I am sleeping. God will wake me up at the right time to spend time with him in the morning.
There are no excuses. Take time out in the morning. Even if you must do it while you are cooking or driving, you can listen to it in your ears at night while you are asleep to get the word inside you. The word of God says now is the time. Now is the day of salvation.
Hebrews 11:1 King James Version says faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is always now!
How Long Are You Slack? Take It All Back!
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for your spirit that resides inside me. God, I repent for being slack on receiving all you have for me. I am obeying your voice immediately, and all the blessings will come on me and overtakes me. Lord, I thank you for rewarding me as I diligently seek your kingdom, your righteousness, and everything will be added to me. In Jesus’ name! Amen!
