In order to go far with God, we have to go to another level with our time with God by worship/ praise, fasting, meditating on the word of God, walking in love, and spending time with him.

Joshua 1:8-9: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Proverbs 4:20: 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;Keep them in the midst of your heart;22 For they are life to those who find them,And health to all their flesh.

Increasing our intake of the word of God causes us to have success and prosper in whatever we do. The word of God gives life and health to our entire body.

Just like athletes that train hours and days to become the best, we have to do that with the word God to receive and become the best in life.

This is a very powerful scripture to live by:

Psalm 1:1-3: Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

Not only do we have to meditate the word day and night, we also have to watch the company we keep. Proverbs 27:17 says 17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Very powerful words of wisdom to live by.

If you want to go higher in your faith, you have to listen to and hang around people of faith. There are many gifts God gives His people. We can celebrate and learn from each other.

Set the bar above where you are; God will take you far!
