Words have power when you know their meaning of them.
Conscience: an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one’s behavior.
Clear: 1. unclouded, untroubled. 2. Clean and pure. 3. Easily heard, easily visible. Easily understood, unmistakable. 4. Sharp discernment, keen. Free from doubt, sure. 5. Free from guile (deceit) or guilt. 6 Unhampered by restrictions or limitations.
To hear the voice of God, your mind must be renewed daily. If you do not renew your mind daily, you cannot discern what is right and what is wrong. Eventually, if you do not renew your mind to the word of God, your conscience becomes seared. Then, when you hear the truth, you become numb to it and blinded by evil.
1 Timothy 4:2 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, two speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron.
Romans 12:2 Amplified Version says 2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs] but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable, and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
If there is anything in you, like unforgiveness or continual sin, it can stop you from hearing from God.
Psalm 66: 18 Amplified Version says If I regard sin and baseness in my heart [that is, if I know it is there and do nothing about it],
The Lord will not hear [me].
It takes humility to repent when we are wrong. God uses people who, even though they do wrong, repent and get back on the right track. King David in the bible was not perfect, but he was a man after God’s own heart because he repented and cried out to God for help.
It begins with the church. 2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version says 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
This land needs healing, and people need Wisdom that surpasses our intellect. It is time for the people of God to repent and be examples so that lost people can see a difference in us. God unlocks Wisdom to those who have a clear conscience.
A lot of us are crying out for Wisdom. Natural Wisdom is fine; however, divine Wisdom on things that we can’t prove goes beyond that.
Proverbs 8:17-21 Amplified Version says Wisdom: 17 “I love those who love me; And those who seek me early and diligently will find me.18 “Riches and honor are with me, Enduring wealth and righteousness (right standing with God).19 “My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold, And my yield is better than choicest silver.20 “I, [Wisdom, continuously] walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice,21 That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth and true riches, And that I may fill their treasuries.
When you live upright and seek God’s Wisdom, you will find it if you seek it early in the morning and diligently. David in the bible would say early will I seek you. Jesus rose before daybreak to seek Wisdom. The mornings are quiet, and you are more sensitive to hearing.
It amazes me what topic or phrase God gives me for the blog. It just comes to me when I am quiet, driving, or God will provide the phrase to my dad, brother, or sister as we are having a conversation. God is always speaking; you must be listening for it. You do not have to try to think up anything. God gives it to you. It pays to have a relationship with God and to be living upright. I am not perfect, but I serve a God who is and allow Him to use me.
This week I was talking to my family/friends about my plans to start a business. I kept saying I am going with this person because they knew many people and my sales would be huge. My dad was telling me to be sure I consult with God about it. As I was walking out the door, I thought, “I will make your name great. Consult with me.” I got another confirmation from Kimberly Elegant Crockett on Facebook; the topic said: “But what did God say?” I rejoiced in my spirit and knew I had to seek God’s Wisdom overall. My focus is on His will, and everything else will come with it.
Proverbs 8 says to seek Wisdom more than money. I would suggest reading the whole chapter of Proverbs 8 for Wisdom. If you have God’s Wisdom, everything else comes along with it. Even if you lost everything, you could regain it back greater with God’s Wisdom.
Proverbs 19:21 NIV Version says 21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
It is okay to have plans but ask God for Wisdom because His plan is far better and greater than our plans.
Please do so for those who have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior because it will help you hear and see things clearer. You would not be under condemnation, wondering if God heard you. The Blood of Jesus cleanses you from every wrong thing you have done. All you must do is repent of your sins, confess Jesus as Lord/Savior, and believe in your heart; then, you are in the family of God. Read God’s word every day for it to transform you and so you can have correct thinking.
People of God, let us repent of any sins or unforgiveness blocking us from hearing from God. No one wants to be in the dark, in doubt, feeling guilty, not able to discern what is right or wrong, feeling limited, restricted, or our minds clouded. We want to be able to see, hear perfectly, feel pure, and have sharp discernment of what to do.
When our conscience is clear, we are free to hear!
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for another day. Thank you for your Wisdom. It is better than money and natural knowledge. I am transformed by renewing my mind to the word of God, God. I repent of any sins in my life that are blocking me from hearing your voice. I acknowledge you in all my ways, and you direct my path. I give you thanks for the answer. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
