I prayed about what to do next for the blog. My dad pointed to me and said, “let God’s desire take you higher.” I knew it was God using my dad. I begin to thank God for another new word from heaven. We develop a desire for God by spending time with Him. When we put God first and seek His way of doing things, God takes us higher than you can imagine.
I never dreamed of writing a blog, or writing for that matter. However, as I started spending time with God, He revealed His purpose for me in dreams. The words would come to me as I yielded to Him and let Him lead and guide me. God’s purpose for me is becoming more precise and significant than I could ever imagine as I look to God for guidance. God sometimes uses the people close to me to get His message to me.
Isaiah 55:14-3 New Living Translation: “Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink—even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free! 2 Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.3 “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find Life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.
God wants the best for us. We are spiritual beings in a natural body. We will not enjoy the natural things in Life without a relationship with God. We cannot fill the void with entertainment, drinking, drugs, sex, shopping, or even going to church. God wants us to come to Him and be willing to sit quietly and listen because he wants us with the best things in Life.
Psalm 34:8-10 Amplified Version:8 O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him.9 O [reverently] fear the Lord, you His saints (believers, holy ones);
For to those who fear Him, there is no want.
10 The young lions lack [food] and grow hungry, But they who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.
Solomon, the wisest, richest man and had all the women, said we could not enjoy Life without God; it is all useless without God.
Matthew 5:6 Amplified Version; 6 “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [ultimately] satisfied.
Ask God to give you a desire for Him and take the steps towards developing a relationship with God. You can start with 15 minutes a day. It is just like with anything. The more consistent you are, the more it becomes a way of Life.
God can take you from faith to faith and glory to glory if you spend time and listen to Him.
Let God’s desire take you higher.
Prayer: Lord, I thank you for brand new mercies every day. God, I thank you for your hunger and thirst for righteousness, filling me. Lord, I thank you that I go higher in you as I spend time with you and listen to your voice. I thank you, God; you are taking me from faith to faith, glory to glory. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
