Most of you who went to or are in school know that you can’t pass the test or go to the next grade without passing and learning the lessons the teachers gave.
It is the same way in life; you will keep going over the same thing until you learn how to slay whatever keeps coming up and kill it by the root to receive your blessing.
Jesus is the master teacher because He lived, died, and rose again. Jesus finished out His purpose; now, he is seated at the right hand of God (His Heavenly Father).
When Jesus wanted people to learn how the spiritual world works, He would give a story describing the natural so that they would understand the spiritual. It was called a parable (a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels.)
Jesus spoke a parable about the different grounds in Mark 4.
Mark 4:1-8 Message Version
3-8 “Listen. What do you make of this? A farmer planted the seed. As he scattered the seed, some of it fell on the road, and birds ate it. Some fell in the gravel; it sprouted quickly but didn’t put down roots, so when the sun came up, it withered just as quickly. Some fell in the weeds; as it came up, it was strangled among the weeds, and nothing came of it. Some fell on good earth and came up with a flourish, producing a harvest exceeding his wildest dreams.

Ground 1 Seed falling Along the Side of the Road
14-15 “The farmer plants the Word. Some people are like the seed that falls on the hardened soil of the road. No sooner do they hear the Word than Satan snatches away what has been planted in them.
Ground 2 Stony Ground
16-17 “Some are like the seed that lands in the gravel. When they first hear the Word, they respond with great enthusiasm. But there is such shallow soil of character that when the emotions wear off and some difficulty arrives, there is nothing to show.
Ground 3 Thorns
18-19 “The seed cast in the weeds represents the ones who hear the kingdom news but are overwhelmed with worries about all the things they have to do and all the things they want to get. The stress strangles what they hear, and nothing comes of it.
Ground 4 Good Ground
20 “But the seed planted in the good earth represents those who hear the Word, embrace it, and produce a harvest beyond their wildest dreams.
We hold on to the Word by meditating, speaking, and reading it throughout the day. It is your charger when your spiritual battery is low.
I am declaring this “Jubilee July”! Let us hear the Word, hold on to the Word by hearing because that is how faith comes, and finally reap the results.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for a new mercy every morning. I hold onto the Word of God like the seed that fell on good ground and receive the promise. Faith comes by hearing, so I do it daily so my seed can grow. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
