I have jumped to conclusions many times because I didn’t hear something out completely. Even if I don’t agree with someone, I have been learning to still hear that person out.
Proverbs 1:5 says 5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.
Ecclestiastes 5 in summary says when you come in the presence of God keep your ears open and your mouth shut.
When I used to pray, I would talk about my problems and what I wanted God to do in my life. But my prayers were not being answered because I was doing all the talking.
It is just like having a conversation with someone. You can’t fully have a conversation with someone if one person is doing all of the talking.
Every morning now, I sit and listen to hear what God is saying before saying anything. If I do say something I sit and listen to hear what God has to say. If I don’t get the answer right then, I thank God for the answer. Each time my prayers were answered. God would reveal things to me when I am listening to hear His voice. God would warn me or remind me of things when I became silent.
Hear and things will become clear.
