In Your Feelings You Become Petty. Stop Before It Gets Messy!

Everyone has things that irritates, offends, or makes us angry.  Remember it is only a test to see how you will respond. The devil wants our mouth. Words are powerful and when spoken out of hurt or anger, can cause damage.

James 1:19 says: be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.  It is okay to be angry, but Ephesians 4:26 says be angry and sin not; do not let the sun go down on our wrath.   We can speak the truth but speak it in love (Ephesians 4:15).

I have learned to vent things out with mature friends and God when no one is around.  God will speak to me and let me know what to do or if I took something the wrong way.

It is also good to write down what you are feeling on a piece of paper and read it to yourself or someone you can trust. It can stop a lot of conflicts before it starts.

I have seen people I know take a drive when they are upset with someone and come back when they have calmed down.

Remember faith works by love. Some things you must laugh about. This keeps you in control and prevents the devil from hindering you from moving forward.

We will keep going around the same negative situation until we pass the test. The main test is with our mouth because it can bring life or death.  We can ask God to put a check in our spirit when we are about to say or do something that is out of offense and anger. It works for me every time. If I mess up, I repent and start the process again.  What we do can affect others good or bad, even when no one is watching. In Psalms 19:12 David said “save me from secret faults.

Let us pass our test. Do not let the devil keep us from receiving all God has for us. I do not know about anyone else, but I want my reward!

Prayer: Lord thank you because you love me unconditionally. I praise you because your mercy endures forever. I repent for saying things out of anger and not thinking before I speak, I choose to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to get angry, The best thing to say is nothing when I am angry because in my quietness is my strength.  I thank you for my breakthrough. In Jesus name! Amen
