Don’t Waver, Receive God’s Favor

To receive from God as a person of faith and a follower of Jesus, we must remain steadfast and consistent with what we believe God for, no matter how it looks.

James 1:2-8 King James Version says

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations;3 Knowing that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraided not; and it shall be given him.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavered is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.8 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Hebrews 10:22-24 says.

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faithhaving our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

When someone says something opposite of what you believe God for or the circumstances say differently, do like David and pay it no attention. Speak words of faith. Surround yourself with other believers and spend time in the world day and night. The devil is consistent on his job as the bible says the devil is roaming to and from seeking whom he may devour. Fear gives the devil a place in your life.

2 Timothy 1:7 says that God has not given us the spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind.

A sound mind is the mind of Christ, a life of faith. The righteous live by faith, which means it is a lifestyle, not a sometimes thing.

We are in it, to win it! Do not waver; receive God’s favor!

Prayer: God, I thank you for your unfailing love towards me. I put my confidence and trust in you. God resists fear because fear is of the devil. God, you have given me a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind; I have the mind of Christ. I remain in faith no matter what it looks like. In you, God, I have the victory. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
