It is easy to give to someone you know that will give it back in return. It is easy to love someone who returns it back to you. It easy to give money when there is plenty of it to give. This takes little or no effort. What about when your money is low or when someone is unable to give it right back?
Luke 6:32-36 Amplified Version says 32 If you [only] love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 If you lend [money] to those from whom you expect to receive [it back], what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners expecting to receive back the same amount. 35 But love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; for your reward will be great (rich, abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High, because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked. 36 Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful.
God sent his son Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice even when we did not deserve it. The seed God sown has multiplied in saving many souls and people who are sharing the gospel all over the world.
Acts 20:35 says ‘It is more blessed [and brings greater joy] to give than to receive.’”
Remember, whatever you sow you will reap, and it is multiplied. A selfish person is the most miserable and depressed. The focus is about that person and no one else.
“I have no friends.” Proverbs 18:24 says they that want a friend must show themselves friendly. “I need grace and mercy.” Matthew 5:7 says blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.
To sum it all up, whatever you want, you give, and it is multiplied in return. It takes great sacrifice, but in the end, it is rewarding.
Prayer: Lord I thank you for giving your Son Jesus as a sacrificial seed and now I have eternal life saved from hell. It is great to receive gift, but it is great to give also because it comes back multiplied. I repent for only thinking of myself. I live to give. I thank you for the increase now in Jesus’ name! Amen.
