Everyone has heard the saying, “you have to go through to get to.” Obstacles come to get us discouraged; endure is the cure.
2 Timothy 2:3-7 New King James Version says You, therefore, must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 also, if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.
When you are focused, the surrounding circumstances do not matter because you are in it to win it. When soldiers are in a battle fighting for their lives, there is no time for distractions.
Proverbs 24:10 Message Version says 10 If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there was not much to you in the first place.
Luke 8:15 CSB version says 15 But the seed in the good ground—these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, produce fruit.
We fight the good fight of faith.
We can quickly get drained, just like the battery on our phone; it needs charging. The word of God is our charger.
John 6:63 says that God’s word is spirit and life.
Those who endure to the end get the reward.
It was around people of faith, praise/worship. Quiet time alone with God, listening to and meditating on the word of God, consistently gives you the power to go through.
Endure is the cure!
Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for enduring the cross for my sins. I repent for giving up when I face challenges. I hold on to the word of God and endure challenges as a good soldier. God, you left us an example to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. I give you the praise for the victory! In Jesus’ name! Amen.
