The Inner Man Is New; Now Work On The Other Part Of You

When we confess Jesus with our mouths, salvation comes. First, we must repent of our sins. We must believe in our hearts about the death and resurrection of Jesus then we are born again into a new life.

1 Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified Version) says 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].

However, we do have our flesh and sinful nature. In the flesh is nothing good. We should have no confidence in the flesh. But our confidence is our faith in God through Jesus. Paul said when I wanted to do good; I could not. He also stated the thing that I did not want to do I do. The good news is Paul finally said: “I thank God through Jesus.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

Remember, correction brings perfection. When you are born again, you have the Holy Spirit inside you to teach you and guide you on the way to go.

We are transformed by renewing our minds to the word of God. It is a daily process to uproot things from our old sinful nature. If we get off track, we can repent and start back at it again until it becomes automatic.

A good practice is starting with your family. They can test you the most. But, the change begins with yourself. We are all a work in progress.

The inner man is new; now, work on your other part of you.

Prayer: Thank you, God, for making me new in my spirit, man. I die daily to my sinful nature and live the life of the spirit. I have no confidence in myself but in God. Lord, continue to check on my spirit when I am straying from your word. Through you, God, I have the victory over my sinful nature. It is already done! In Jesus’ name!
