Isaiah 52 The Message (MSG)

God Is Leading You Out of Here

52 1-2 Wake up, wake up! Pull on your boots, Zion!
Dress up in your Sunday best, Jerusalem, holy city!
Those who want no part of God have been culled out.
    They won’t be coming along.
Brush off the dust and get to your feet, captive Jerusalem!

Throw off your chains, captive daughter of Zion!

God says, “You were sold for nothing. You’re being bought back for nothing.”

11-12 Out of here! Out of here! Leave this place!
Don’t look back. Don’t contaminate yourselves with plunder.
Just leave, but leave clean. Purify yourselves
in the process of worship, carrying the holy vessels of God.
But you don’t have to be in a hurry.
    You’re not running from anybody!
God is leading you out of here,
and the God of Israel is also your rear guard.

Are their circumstances, people,or things you are trying to break free from that is holding you back?  Is it robbing you of your joy, peace, and prosperity? The first thing it says in Isaiah 52 is to get up and clothe yourself with strength. We know that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Get a specific scripture, meditate on it, and get sticky notes wherever you are so it can be before your eyes. That is how you gain strength. Once you have made a decision don’t look back. It also says in Isaiah 52 to leave clean; don’t hang on to people or things that kept you in bondage. The second thing Isaiah 52 says is to purify yourself through worship. I can remember when Paul and Silas were thrown into prison they prayed and sang praises. After they did that the prison doors opened. The third thing Isaiah 52 is that God leads you out; as you take a step of faith he will lead and guide you to victory!

How do you prepare for a test? According Matthew 4 Jesus prepared for the test through fasting. You can fast for half a day, a whole day, three days, or do a Daniel fast for 21 days with just vegetables and water.  Use that time to set aside for God to gain full victory on things that really has you bound.

  1. In order to receive the new things Spring brings, I am getting up and leaving behind everything that is binding me. Through fasting, praising God, and following God’s lead I can tackle any shackle. Who the Son sets free is free indeed. I am redeemed from the curse!
